  1. Tell her to turn the other cheek if someone pounces at her because she's new. Tell her that Advanced Classes cannot be switched.
  2. By level 28 Elites I think this is a Heroic/Area quest. Group up or if the Heroic is a two-man group, you could solo it using CC.
  3. I dig those Space gear a lot, but the grinding is ridiculous just to get a single gear in my opinion. If you have the perseverance to get them all, or just a bracer/belt, kudos to you.
  4. Try the GTN. I bought Orange bracers/belt.
  5. This is my first guide. If there are errors, please correct me. Thank you. Which gear is better? Gear is colour coded in their respective rank: White, Green, Blue, Orange, and Purple. White = gear with just the main stats. I'm being very vague here but trust me when I say White is useless. Better to vendor them if they are in your inventory or avoid them like the plague by not buying them from vendors. Green = gear with main stats for your class. Greens are very popular in the early stages of leveling your character because they drop frequently as you journey from level 1 - 50. You'll switch Green gear regularly as a result as you progress forward. Greens are limited to your class only. Blue = unlike Green gear which are very populated, Blue gear are not easily available. They are harder to obtain as they will not drop from regular enemies. Blues are always better than Greens. Blues are limited to your class only. Orange = this is the most favourable type of gear in SWTOR! Oranges are gear without any main stats but have empty slots you can insert mods into. These mods you insert will determine the quality of main stats. A level 20 can have an Orange Chest gear and upgrade it with mods all the way up to level 50 without ever having to buy another Chest gear. Oranges are limited to your class only. Purple = unlike Oranges, Purples have permanent base stats automatically added along with moddable slots that are already inserted with purple mods. Since mods are already there, others can say it's better than the Orange with empty slots. This is a matter of preference. You can always customise the slots to your desire like the Oranges. _ What's so great about Oranges? 1. Oranges [Purples, too] are moddable with all sorts of mods you earn from questing. 2. You aren't restricted. You can customise every Orange [Purples, too] with what you want to add into the slots. Talk about flexibility! 3. Fashion! Green and Blue gear all look alike. Oranges, in addition to customising them, each have a different physical appearance. _ Where do I get Oranges, Purples, and Blues? 1. These can be obtained from high ranked enemies like Elites/Champions, World Bosses, Heroics, Flashpoints, Planet Commendations via Equipment Commendation Vendors, crafting, and GTN. What are the looting rules of Need, Greed, and Pass? Need = totally acceptable to roll Need if the gear is an upgrade to your current one. Point your cursor over the gear that's being rolled upon and two windows [or three] will pop up side-by-side displaying the differences between your current gear and the gear in question. If you see green text, it means it's better than your current gear. Red text means it's junk. Greed = gear, regardless whether it's Green, Blue, or Purple and not for your current class, should be greeded. Don't Need gear that's not for your class! "It's for my alt though." If you want it for your alt or companion, always ask if it's ok to Need it. If someone rolls Need on a gear that's an upgrade for his/her class and you roll Need for your alt/companion, the system will pick the highest random generated number and it could be won by you—a good way to be the rotten apple in a group. Pass = when Need and Greed don't apply. Rarely does anyone Pass so Greed away.
  6. I would like to see all armour types being free open to all classes. I enjoy orange gear for my Consular but it's very limited appearance-wise [i'm all about looks]. @OP :: Check the GTN for orange gear. I found some nice white pants/shirt for my Sage. A Sage in all-white looks quite nice and fits the role "healer" lucratively well. I was a bit disappointed as the selection wasn't high. Maybe Synthweaving may help.
  7. Truth :: Tank and a healer are the ones who "owns" the next XX minutes - X hours in HM/Ops. LF2M DPS will be filled in a matter of minutes.
  8. I'm all for pay to customise! I would pay for epic outfits without diminishing my gear stats.
  9. I had recruited a trial player to my guild couple days ago. He and I had good conversations and he seemed pretty nice to me. I used some acronyms in our conversation but he didn't understand what they meant. He said he hears it all the time in General Chat but didn't want to ask of its meaning. Anyway, I explained some of its meanings and I shall do the same for you, Rocbevo: SWTOR - Star Wars The Old Republic. GG - Good Game. G2G - Good to Go or Got to Go. AFK - Away From Keyboard. CC - Crowd Control; an ability that stuns/paralyses an enemy usually up to 60 seconds. KK - Okay. WTB - Want to Buy; "Anyone WTB this epic purple gear for 1 million credits?" WTS - Want To Sell; "I WTS this orange gear for 500k credits. Anyone WTB?" WTT/W2T - Want To Trade; "I W2T this for your gear." BBL - Be Back Later. BRB - Be Right Back. LFG - Looking For Group; "38 Sage healer LFG for any Heroics." "50 Vanguard LFG for Hardmode Flashpoint." LFM - Looking For More.
  10. Play in Windowed mode. I had this issue too on my GTX 295 and corrected it by fixing ratio or something, but to no avail this time around. I even updated, rolled back several times on drivers, set resolution variables manually, and etc.
  11. Judging from his post, he'll have to /ignore [name] a long list. Like someone else said, disable channel /1. Easy!
  12. For the great amount of time to work and complete story quests it would be wise to work on more group contents that would be done in less time.
  13. You must not know a lot about computers. It will work perfectly.
  14. Correction: You're -- you are. I agree about the dye and somewhat about WBs. Making them all 50s would kind of be unfair to the lower levels who wish to take them down in a level 20 planet, for example.
  15. If only you were Republic, The Jedi Covenant server, would we be having a blast. I too find it a bit lonely solo questing up to Level 36 Sage (Dark side). GL Vizelord!
  16. If it goes P2W, who cares! SWTOR will be F2P soon and it wouldn't be surprising if it went P2W sooner or later. It amazes me how many threaten to cancel or quit playing if things don't go their way. If you don't like it, stop playing! Simple as that
  17. MMOs aren't for you then. Literally all MMOs implements a system of going to point A to point B then back to point A. Not everyone will be satisfied with this and end-game content. I don't understand how one's private life of being busy with work can justify hate leveling in SWTOR or any other mmo.
  18. Free players will not have any access to Operations (raids). I suspect the majority of players would want to participate in raids but are left out unless they subscribe. This is a very smart move for Bioware in my opinion.
  19. Good suggestion! Indeed I do this quite often as it helps me to see what kind of character--good or bad--I'm going to have to deal with. I usually say hi and await for a response as the deciding factor.
  20. Frequently gear with slots are better than gear with stats because you can insert mods into the former. Run Dailies and you'll be rewarded with nice mods in turn you can easily mod your open slot gear with. Careful with mods; withdrawing inserted mods costs credits as opposed to replacing mods with mods [the replaced mods will be obsolete].
  21. I'm just resubscribing [Quit my level 50 Sage like a week prior to 1.2 patch update] and would like to remain neutral in my decisions. The question is have Social Vendors, through patch updates, offer neutral gear? If not, then I suppose siding light or dark is more beneficial?
