  1. Everything currently is viable in one way or another. Maybe not spec wise, but each advanced class can perform fine. My opinion: Trooper/Bounty Hunter Merc/Commando: Incredible damage when allowed to turret, much less damage when focused (they need to hardcast for damage) Powertech/Vanguard: Strong melee class with ranged capabilities. Very tanky if specced correctly, and has good utility. Imperial Agent/Smuggler Gunslinger/Sniper: Similar to merc, but slightly less damage (due to it being weapon damage), can not be interrupted, and has imo better kiting capabilities Scoundrel/Operative: Highest burst potential of any class, but very weak outside of the stealth opener. Sith Inquisitor/Jedi Consular Assassin/Shadow: Very high damage melee class, uses stealth but is very strong outside of it unlike the Operative/Scoundrel. Sorcerer/Sage: Can be a DoT class or direct damage class. High sustained damage, lots of utility. Sith Warrior/Jedi Knight Marauder/Sentinel: Lacks a lot of control, but has very powerful cooldowns and pseudo-mortal strike debuff. Good sustained damage or burst damage depending on how you spec. Very few ranged capabilities. Juggernaut/Guardian Similar to Marauder, but with much less of the cooldowns, and has some decent CC. More ranged capabilities, and very good damage. Subject to 10 yard kiting by ranged classes. Quick 1-2 sentence summary of all of them. If you want something easy and fun in low level warzones, Commando/Merc speced for Grav Shot/Tracer Missile. The rotation is literally like 2 buttons
  2. And then the Stormtrooper slit the Jedi's throat from behind, the Mandalorian shot the Stormtrooper in the gut, and reborn Palpatine number 46 exploded a star causing it to go super nova and destroy the entire solar system that the Mandalorian was in?
  3. I don't know. I was just assuming with all the political turmoil going on the Galaxy must have been extremely fragmented at the time that the Vong invaded. Now that I'm thinking about it, the Star Wars universe really has same lame military capabilities. The only formidable things they have are Death Stars with obvious and convenient flaws and the force.
  4. I'm pretty sure when the Vong arrived the Galaxy was pretty ****ed up already. If it was like, Post-Cold War Republic I doubt the Vong would have had as much of an impact.
  5. My guess would be male, early 20s.
  6. They probably shelter different members who support each side.
  7. The timeline is about 3,500 years before the fall of the Republic and rise of the Galactic Empire. Sometime between that and before 2000 years ago, the Sith Empire fell. I don't think there is any lore on how this happened, so there's like 1000 years of unaccounted for history. Two large scale Sith organizations existed between the fall of the Sith Empire and the rise of the Galactic Empire, which was the New Sith Empire (Darth Ruin) and the Brotherhood of Darkness. The New Sith Empire was rivaled by the Sith Empire, and most likely powerful than the various other Sith organizations before it. There's not much lore on that one either, even less so than the current Empire. Oh, and after the Brotherhood of Darkness fell, the whole Rule of Two came into effect under Darth Bane. (something like 1,000 years before the Galactic Empire)
  8. There's a slight detail you overlooked, and that's that Republic has access to the exact same CC.

    Ranged VS Melee

Ok. *puts suggestion in suggestion box*
  10. Yes they do exist, I encountered several of them while leveling. As for specifics, I don't know. Search torhead and go by the icon though.
  11. Inquisitor has the best level 50 set by far at least.
  12. He uses a hybrid build between the shared tree (for the 30 yard dot and the talent right above that) and the middle tree (up to the Hold the line talent) He's DPS, not tank.
