  1. That link does not work for me. I read the dev tracker every day and check patch notes religiously. I am not seeing any of these changes mentioned in the notes. Also, I am at work and can't access the launcher even if the link did work for me. All I'm asking is for the website content manager to keep up with these things. No need to get all pissy with me about it.
  2. I'm really disliking the way they are NOT communicating changes. Needing to search all the talents for changes it a pain in the butt. Why aren't these posted in a PTS patch notes?
  3. It really wouldn't take that long to flag them in the database. I just need them to address the fact that despite having the headpiece set to not showing, the hood is staying down. I have a pope hat. I have it set to not show. My Traditional Nylite Vestments now have the hood up, however all my other robes still animate the hood down.
  4. I completely understand that I can't have my pope hat showing and my hood up. However, there are some hooded robes in game that put the hood down even if the head piece is off. This is my issue
  5. Ok fellas follow with me here. This is what SHOULD be in place to make everyone happy based on what exists in the game. If you have any issues with this lets talk about it. The first thing we need solved is a way to get all the gear so that it has an Augment Slot. This means we need a way to get Augment Slots of Social gear and Looted gear. My proposal here is that Synthweavers/ Armormechs learn how to to directly build an Augment Slot onto these pieces of gear. So a person would place their item on the Modification Table (finding use for this) and the crafter would then Augment the item for the person (at the cost of some good materials). This type of Augmentation would not be allowed on CRAFTED GEAR, to preserve the integrity of critically crafted gear. The next fix is with the whole validity of crafted gear with respect to the other ways to obtain gear. Here is my proposed breakdown on this. Lvl 49 Blue lvl 49 Tier 1 Purple = Lvl 50 Blue Lvl 49 Tier 2 Purple = Lvl 50 Tier 1 Purple = Daily Comm Gear Lvl 50 Tier 2 Purple = Columni (HM Flash Points) = Schems for BoE gear from Hard Modes Thoughts?
  6. Troll. Why do people feel the need to use the forums as a test run for their stand up comedy routine. This is a place for legitimate discussion and feedback and information. Not a comedy club.
  7. I'm very certain Assassin DPS is on par with the other classes. Just because we don't have damage meters doesn't mean that BioWare doesn't. You can be sure they do. All damage meters will tell you is who is good at their class and who isn't. I had a feeling 2/2 Insulation gave Assassins the equivalent of Medium Armor. Good to know. So maybe utility is the issue? What if Force Cloak could also break CC when talented for deep in Deception? Add it to Fade.
  8. Just because we don't have damage meters does not mean BioWare isn't keenly aware of each classes DPS. They have the meters. That is all that matters.
  9. I really feel this is a case of people wanting to play in a manner that the devs do not intend for. Yes you can still change stances but at a huge cost, making it not worth it in most situations. If Dark Charge is mandatory for all the specs to be effective, then that is a huge indicator about what is the real issue. Deception/ Madness players feel there is a legitimate need for more survivability. Plead that case to the devs. Don't waste efforts campaigning against their design philosophy.
  10. While this may appear to be a nerf, it is in fact a step toward balancing and fixing. Stance dancing is not an intended mechanic among any class. I'm not in any position to argue about whether the damage is high enough, or the survivability is high enough, or the utility is high enough. These changes are not about that. These changes are to solidify the design concept that when you spec, you do so with a role in mind, and that role is defined and supported by your stance. They do not want people effortlessly shifting between Tank and burst DPS and sustained DPS. You enter the battlefield to serve one role.
  11. I'm sorry I let this thread sit so long without coming back. Thanks for the formulas. With what we have learned here, the question really becomes, why bother? This stat is regarded as nearly useless. Yes it has some actual in game effect, but it is so niche that it does not feel like it serves a large enough purpose to warrant it's existence. I have an idea though. Why not make it so that Presence increases the strength of your team buff? This would give it a substantial purpose in PvE, and it would make sense. You would want some people geared for Presence to provide increased team support. I will not mention numbers here, as that is BioWare's responsibility. There are surely plenty of other ways this stat could be augmented to provide benefits outside of companion use, so let's give BioWare some ideas. Bottom line, Presence does not currently have enough use cases! Give it a function for situations when a companion is not available
  12. I'm pretty sure we will still need to gear for +10% accuracy. Why are people complaining about stance dancing? It was never an intended functionality. Each spec has a stance it synergizes with.
  13. The devs want each charge to be tree specific. That means if you are deeper than the second Tier (10 points) you should be using the specified charge. From a design stand point I can get behind this, but it has to also transfer to other classes. We found some hybrid builds that were creating unintended playstyles. Some people have latched onto those and the loss of those styles is understandably upsetting, but you will need to adapt as this is par for the course in an mmo. If the class in rendered non viable by such changes, other compensation will be given. I see quite a bit of concern over Deception's misalignment among utility, damage, and survivability. If there is indeed imbalance there, everyone needs to cite specific examples. This is very hard to do, because you can't just say "class X gets this and we don't". You have to look at a class' entire skill kit. Does Insulation not put our armor value on par with Medium Armor? How far off is it? Is Madness ok with this armor value and Deception is not because Madness is more range oriented and has self healing? Then perhaps another armor boost is needed deeper in the Deception tree. Deception doesn't need Dark Charge, it may just need more armor. Those are the questions we need to ask and analyze. What truly separates a Deception Assassin from a Concealment Operative? (I choose this comparison because they serve similar roles).
  14. In the end we will have the following. Orange gear with augment slots, with the ability to place Tier gear armorings into them to preserve set bonuses. Tier gear. Social gear. So beyond a shadow of a doubt, crafters need to be able to make an item that can give Social gear and Tier gear an Augment slot, to prevent that gear from being inferior and not viable. PvP gear is a separate issue. Bioware can settle this how they want in terms of maintaining balance in PvP gear. My personal opinion would be to leave PvP gear alone. Do not allow us to remove the mods, do not allow us to add augment slots. My main argument for this is because the visual aspect of gear in PvP is tantamount to knowing what you are fighting against. I want to know if I am against a Battlemaster or a newish player. I do not want to have the situation where someone in a low level orange set stomps me because they are using that appearance to deceive and mask their gear level.
  15. No one is sought after because the craftable items are not highly sought after.
  16. No what they really need to do is expand the crystal selection and give half of it to Armstech, as well as make some new items that are crafted from schematics dropped in Ops. Armstech should also have the Aim and Cunning Enhancements. I whole-heartily agree Armstech is the profession that got the shaft the most, and is in the most need of help. Artifice gets crystal, hilts, offhands, and enhancements. Armstech gets barrels. Yeah that seems fair.
  17. I have no proof for this, but I am of strong belief that any crafted item that is BoP can not be reved up. So for example, the Rakata bracers that you get to craft for yourself are BoP and can not be reved up. They can of course be critically crafted as you have seen. Your point about it saying Advanced and not Mastercraft is interesting, but I think that may be due to game coding, where the item simply does not have a tier categorization, so the default is set to show advanced and not mastercraft. This is definitely something BioWare should come out and tell use so people don't waste time and credits attempting something that is not possible.
  18. There is just not a large enough market for augments, at least not the low level ones. The proc rate and amount of critically crafted gear on the market is very small. Compound this with the fact that it is just plain easier to run Flashpoints and Ops for gear that is superior to the crafted gear with the augment slot, and you have a minuscule market. Now I do believe top end crafted gear with a top level augment is close to par with some of the games top end raid gear, but again the market is quite small.
  19. Yep so necessary. Let the armormech and synthweavers make these. I love the style of the Traditional Demicot set but if i could change the colors a bit I would be even happier.
  20. I just posted in a similar thread. I agree visual animations are needed for procs and buffs. Playing an Assassin is mostly just watching the buff bar and not the action.
  21. My friends and I would pay money to server transfer because my friends are all split among different servers and we wish to gather under a single one.
  22. Here is my idea, coming from a tanking Sith Assassin. I would like a visual aura provided for things like Dark Ward, Energize, and Harnessed Darkness. Visual queues on my character that tell me when a proc has occurred or an important buff is about to expire. I'm fine with glancing to see my cooldowns, but scanning the buff bar is very distracting. These could be very simple. Dark Ward could place a black mist around me that fades to grey when I am down to 1 charge or 2 seconds remaining, so I know I need to recast it soon. Energize proc's could animate a surge of electricity from my lightsaber and up my arms. When I reach 3 stacks of Harnessed Darkness my character could have a purple pulsating outlining. Small visual queues make watching the game play much more entertaining, and watching the game play is much more entertaining than watching a buff bar. This sin't about L2P, it's about having fun and feeling like you are your character, not some person at a desk watching a set of icon.
  23. Presence has a chance to be added to any item you are reverse engineering to it's final stage. I understand it is meant to only function when you are playing with an active companion. The question is, how viable is it as a stat compared to the other options. Why would I ever choose Presence over the other options (Alacrity, Shield, Surge, Accuracy)? It seems like a very unusual and ineffective stat from a game design perspective when the choice is to either have a stat that benefits you in every situation versus a stat that only benefits you when you have your companion. Compound this with the fact that there is no easy way to see the trade-offs between gearing for Presence versus gearing for the other stats. I really feel the need to test this now, as I feel we have no tangible results to compare performance.
  24. I must admit, I am completely ignorant when it comes to Presence as a stat. I know it boosts your companions performance, but in what ways? Has anyone spent time to dive into this stat? I know almost everyone completely dismisses it as I have, and sees gear with the stat as pure garbage. If your companion is wearing gear with Presence do they get the bonus it conveys (whatever it is)??? Can we find a way to get BioWare to remove all the Presence gear if we unanimously agree we find the concept worthless? Because right now there is no greater pain that to Reverse Engineer something and learn the schematic that adds Presence. Sound off on this topic Community! What are your thoughts and experiences and knowledge gained about the stat Presence?
  25. Yes many others have confirmed this error, I for one included. It seems to be system wide for everyone. Very obnoxious.
