  1. Thanks for the replies guys. My concerns about the gameplay are gone.

Just the looks of armor (pvp). I tried to search for light/dark side alignment sets for PvP like it was early at launch, I'm guessing there is no visual difference anymore for PvP armor today?

  2. I'm resubbing and making a Sith Juggernaut. I'm currently struck at what alignment I'm going for. My question is: how much does it affect me if I choose to max out Dark or Light side? Like PvP gear and rewards (and their looks), how does one side affect it.

    Thanks fo reading.

  3. procedural occurence.

    or just procedure.

    or special procedure.

Its a fancy way of saying "something causes something else to happen, usually on a random percent chance".

Proc stands for 'procedure' it derives from 'spec_proc ' or 'special_procedure' . It is a, believe it or not, a term originating from WoW. The game system where 'spec_proc' was used to refer to an event. ie. chance on hit.

  4. Babbbyyyy you gotta be cruel to be kind ooh oooh ooooh you gotta be cruel to be kind oooooooooooh ooooooh ohhhhhh

my coffee tasted good while watching your documentary. +1

Would it be entirely rude to ask for your choice of epic greatness in sound?

  5. Everyone wants this in every mmo. And every Dev is blind to it.

Never understood why Devs are so obstinate about a feature everyone would love to have. Vanity is one of the biggest reasons people spend so much time on their characters. By not allowing players to change their looks, etc, Devs lower the market potential of their game.

Games that cater to vanity do very well, those that don't are relegated to niche status.

That is why 'that other MMO' gets alot of love, and not just from the RP purists.

  6. OP has no clue whats going on.

OP is not aware of the power of buffs.

    OP draws wrong conclusion.

OP is not aware shadows/assassin do not crit above 4k without buffs- unless below 50 no expertise

OP is trying to distract the topic about Operative/scoundrel.

    well played.

    moderators, close this thread.

  7. Read the thread.

    Come at me braw

Would be curious to hear thoughts on this from both sides of the dual-spec discussion... what say you, disgruntled General Discussion?

^This, oh wait did you writ-...yes you did bratt...yes you did. It's not pointed at you fyi, its pointed at ppl sayin that line you wrote.

  8. As an Immortal spec Sith Juggernaut, I think I'm going to say +1 for dual specs.

I enjoy tanking in groups. I enjoy the play style, and I enjoy the utility (not to mention being in demand for groups).

Solo play, however, becomes a pain. I have pathetic DPS. Terrible. Can't kill an elite on my own.

So in class quests, when you start seeing elites and silvers together, it becomes a serious chore. Now I have to choose- do I bring a DPS companion, kill quick, and recover from 10%-25% health after every fight (or die after every fight that doesn't allow downtime between battles- Jaesa mission, I'm looking at you), or do I bring a healer and take 5 minutes just to kill a trash group, hoping Quinn can keep me up against the boss/elites that long?

If I could switch to the DPS or hybrid spec for those solo class quests, it would be a seriously appreciated QoL thing.

Nononono, I dont want you to be able to change things to your character. How you change your character completely destroys my immersion in the game. Make up your mind braw. One choice, forever made.

Sorry if I made you angry, I was being cynical.

  9. It is all very easy.

Play a tank, do less damage. Get over it.

Play a dps, do lot of damage, but can;t do anything but damage. Get over it.

Play Healer, do less damage. Get over it.

Choose a role stick to it. I am levelling a vanguard tank specced with my healer as companion. It takes not long to kill enemies. I also levelled an imperial sniper whit which I killed the enemies faster but I could not adapt easily to unforeseen situation ( like accidenlty pulling 2 groups = death) With my vanguard I can kill those 2 groups easily.

It are the choices you make when you take a specific role. Let people roll between roles like olololololololol 1 mouse click is not right.

People who cry about a dual spec or otherwise go to wow, there you get everything for free. Don't mess up a good game, because you are too lazy to play straight and stick to a choice.

    regards.

So your argument against dual spec is because I'm too lazy to make a choice?

  10. Is it race change too? I am playing twilek gunslinger on lvl 50, but helmets on twilek look like graphical errors because two tentacles on his head and it looks sucks :-( dont know, why BW added uncompleted race into the game

I feel bad for people who play twileks for this reason :( Its ok braw, you can cry, its ok, ssh shhh shh shh its ok. bioware will fix it one day. dont worry. its going to be alright.

  11. I agree, but none the less, judging from the hour long 'general chat' conversation today, it IS something that people are crying out for. I have to say that one character of mine which I intended as light side, turned out to be a bit of a bad ***, so wouldnt mind the option to switch his appearance up a bit.

Hopefully we may get a reply for an admin with an answer. In the mean time, I hope we can get a bit of general banter going on the subject.

Woop. You changed your orange. Why the change? Why?

But on-topic: I agree to see something to change appearances. However I think fixing other bugs and improving gameplay are higher priorities.

  12. Here's an idea upgrade the speed of your RAM and HDD. My load times were a little long so i bought some new memory for 40 bucks with faster mhz and they improved drastically. It's your machine not the game that your load times suck. Plus a lot of the time you don't even have to go to a load screen only when changing major zones. For example whenever you use elevators etc... no load screen. Now all I gotta do is wait for the people to come into this thread saying how they play BF3 ultra everything blah blah blah. Get rid of your low speed ram and low speed data transfer rate HDDs.

p.s. this game is awesome and I have a level 50 Jugg 4/5 on HM EV. So don't come in here telling me to get off Korriban.

The complaints is not about the time, but the number of load screen we have to endure to do simple tasks. Think about going to your ship and back for instance.
