  1. When in a meeting, you're imagining force choking all your co-workers one by one. (which is probably appropriate, since one of our meeting room is named "death star".)
  2. I'd play Sith assassin if the Sith Inquisitor quest is better.... I had a Sith sorcerer but gave up because of the quests....
  3. How disappointing.... But I feel that Sith warrior should be the one using double bladed light saber since Sith Warrior is a lot more aggressive and melee based class, double bladed light saber would work great with this style. Why Sith Inquisitor (basically a mage) use the most cool looking and aggressive light saber and we stuck with double light saber?
  4. The "Can't see target" bug in Jadus Fight is a KNOWN ISSUE since launch (or even before). I'm surprised to see Jadus post popping out every 2 or 3 days here. When I fought him back in Jan, I was informed by the CM that this bug is on the top priority list, apparently it has been there for quite a while.... don't know how "top" it has to be to get Bioware to fix the fight. I got wiped out so many times, blow so much money on repair... Here's what I did 1, out level Jadus by 3 level (I beat him with lvl 35 sniper). 2, send your companion to fight him. 3, you should be able to target him as soon as he move off the platform. 4, use A LOT of Distraction when you see Jadus' blue bar is building. Make sure he doesn't use any of his force power, or you'd be dead in 3 seconds (his force power regularly deals 1000-1500HP damage). 5, Make sure use all of your disrupting skills, distraction, Debilitate(when he's up close), flash grenade.... You won't deal a lot of damage, let Vector or Kaliyo do most damage, you can hold threat and use medpack when needed. The key of this fight is to disrupt Jadus so he doesn't use his force power. Vector and Kaliyo both works fine, but I personally prefer Vector because he can deal a lot of damage when I'm busy holding threat and disrupt. Good luck.
  5. I'm pretty sure people has already asked this... but can Sith marauder use a double bladed light saber? I picked one up at Dorman Kaas, really want to use it.
  6. Cypher Agent Lyn Simple name works the best for secret agents.
  7. I made the light choice with my Imperial Agent, and dark side choices with my Sith Marauder. Both will give you exactly the same number of quests, only difference is the quest end dialog choices. It doesn't really matter what you choose, you end up doing the same quests.
  8. Man I thought they should have fixed this bug by now!!! I think it's a known issue since release (or even beta). I've seen similar posts dated back in last December! I went to Jadus fight at lvl 32 (same lvl as Jadus), run into "can't see target issue", and got wiped god only know how many times, blow so much money on repair, finally decided to go do Nar Shadaar bonus quest, lvl up to 33, come back, got beaten again. Move on to Taris ahead of the story quest, totally ruined the narrative, level up 35, came back barely make it out of the fight. This bug has been on the "high priority" list for weeks! I'm also in the gaming industry, and I know how bug list works, either the "high priority" is simply just there for show, or you guys doesn't take thing seriously. I've always been a loyal fan of Bioware, and this has become outrageous! the tactics mentioned in the post works for me, I beat Jadus with Vecter. Send him out to get Jadus move down from the platform, use a lot of disrupt and stun, anything that can stop him from use force power, you won't really do a lot of damage, just let vector chop him off, and use whatever power you get to use before Jadus catch up on you. The worst part is you have to fight this guy 3 times, and every time he recovers to full health. Anyway, either out level him 3 level and come back, or bring a buddy... wish you good luck.
  9. I'm playing light side Imperial Agent. Basically the game give you the option of making the "light side" choices within the limitation of your affiliation and logic of the quest. So you're not really defying your order, but rather pick the less evil. As for the game play, you can use certain light/dark equipment that restricted to your alignment. And force sensitive NPCs will comment on your light/dark "personality". Your companion will react to your choices according to their own personality. As an imperial agent, one of my companion would approve me doing violence and mayhem, an other companion, while also on the Imperial side, would approve a more peaceful approach. There's not much difference in play style. Your powers are not restrained by light or dark. At least not for IA.
  10. Run with Vector since I got him. As a sniper, it's crucial for me to finish enemy as fast as possible before my HP wear out. Between me and Vector we can finish up normal mob in seconds. It's satisfying to see enemy HP drop in chunks, LOL. 1 hit kill feels great! Bosses and champions is a different story though .... And I kind of regret a bit picking sniper over operative, in boss fights, no healing ability SUCKS.....
  11. I'm so rolling out a male sith Warrior (instead of female) Damn ladies~ I'm laughing so hard reading this!
  12. Also want to mention that you should out level the chapter boss for at least 2 level. don't know what class are you, but for Imperial Agent, I went to do my chapter 1 boss fight at 32 (boss is 32), got killed like 10 million times. went to do Nar Shaddar bonus quest level up to 33, got killed for another 10 million times... blow up so much money on repair... finally went to Taris did some side quest level up to 35, and then come back, barely get through it. So.... maybe other class chapter boss is better... but you really need to go prepared.
  13. Thanks! This is very helpful. It seems I don't use my stun ability nearly enough. With some of the boss fights (especially melee/force based bosses) it's so important! I learnt it the hard way at the end of chapter 1 with a particularly nasty boss right. So if in the middle of the fight I want to transfer aggro to vector, just stop firing for a couple of seconds (and use stun, reduce threat)?
  14. I choose option2 and let the eradicators go off. Go around sabotaging the ship while listening to emergency calls from all over the sith world... (That's bad....) Then fight Jadus 3 times, trapped him in a force field, and he was taken away by the dark council. If I had the chance, I'd either go completely light (don't give him the code), or completely dark (let him blow up the empire and eventually become his hand). I mean I really like Jadus! I'd want to work with the evil SOB just to see how bad it is. And I really don't like his psychopath daughter and I'd have no problem killing her....Oh well.... too bad there's no second chance in MMO... I feel that doesn't matter what you choose, you get the same chapter 2 beginning: Keeper is promoted to minister of defense, Watcher 2 to Keeper, deep undercover double agent... I actually want to know what happened to Jadus, did the dark council execute him or punish him or what?
  15. I pick the dark side choice at the end of chapter 1.
  16. I'm playing an Imperial Agent/Sniper and currently at lvl 36. My first companion Kaliyo is a ranged tank, most of the time she'll take the damage while I deal ranged DPS. So all my tactics and gear are planed out towards cunning based tech damage. Then I got Vector, who's a melee DPS. I'm very happy with Vector who can pretty much chop down a normal enemy in seconds, while I become a ranged tank. Gear wise, it took me a while to switch to endurance based mods. But because I've been building my character towards ranged DPS, I make a terrible tank. Even with stim pack I wouldn't last that long when facing Champion or boss level enemies. Some really nice person on this forum explained to me a tactics which allow you to transfer aggro between companions and player character, so you can spread out the damage, pop in medpack and let it cool down for a second round... But I couldn't get it work for some reason. I wonder what determine aggro in this game? Armor class? who deal most damage? I tried to send Vector in first, but the enemy turn on me as soon as I start firing. I used the "reduce threat" skill, but 3 out of 4 times, it doesn't work. With some of the boss fights, the damage has to spread between Vector and me for us to survived the fight. but I just can't get the enemy to turn on Vector... Any suggestion on how to build up and reduce aggro/threat during the fight?
  17. Thanks~ I guess it's more of "in the eyes of beholder" when it comes to quest.... Maybe I should try all the classes to teen and see how it goes....
  18. I have been playing imperial agent for a couple of month, and now I'm in chapter 2. The story is still going strong, and I totally enjoy it. But I'm thinking about rolling out another character just to mix things up a bit. I've rolled out a smuggler last night, since I've heard some really nice comments about smuggler. But after playing it for a while, I feel that smuggler plays very similar to IA. Since this is a star wars game, I should at least try a force sensitive class. But I've heard some really bad review about Sith inquisitor quests are boring, Jedi knights and counselor as well... Any suggestion? on both quest and fun to play? I've been playing IA-sniper for a while, hiding behind cover and ”pew-pew", so a change of pace would be nice. Much appreciated! And, unrelated race question, you know in other RPGs, certain race has bonus for certain stats, for example, elf has +dex, org has +strength. But star war races doesn't seem to have this feature? what's the difference between races? or it's simply a cosmetic choice? thanks!
  19. Oh..... I thought class stories might be related to each other... oh well... Thank you for the reply ~ I wish I get to see him again in the future.
  20. Imperial Agent: 10/10 (Act 1) I LOVE Imperial Agent. It give you a very refreshing perspective about the Star Wars universe and story. The quest are very well designed and have great variety. Sure there're many "go there, kill this" quests, but a lot of quests are unexpected, you don't know what's gonna happen next, who is going to betray you, who you'll end up fighting with or against. It's just one big roller coaster ride! It really make you feel that you're a super cool secret agent and is part of something big. --- Sith Inquisitor 6/10 (Act 1) Sith INquisitor is very predictable, at least at the beginning, there's no surprises. The quests are mostly "run errand for this lord", "pleasing that lord", "climbing the evil corporate ladder"... Not nearly as exciting as IA. --- Thank you for this thread! I was thinking about trying out other classes. This is great information.
  21. I have never played a MMO before, and I bought this game because its story (Love Kotor). I didn't do any of the group activity, heroic quest or flash point or PvP or raid... I've been playing this as one HUGE single player RPG, and I LOVE every minute of it! (Except when I got my *** kicked by Jadus for like 40 times). So, THANK YOU bioware, for creating this fully voiced game
  22. I really like Jadus. I like his voice and I like this kind of mysterious ruthless evil boss character. So my question is: Is there a class that you deal with Jadus a lot? I have a lvl 15 Sith Inquisitor which I put on hold to play imperial Agent, I could pick her up again, if Jadus acts as quest giver for Sith Inquisitors (like the Keeper for IAs). Or maybe Sith Warriors? I'm not so much a Melee person, but I can give it shot for Jadus. --- Another unrelated question about Vector Romance, while right now he doesn't like me enough to have the flirt option yet (he's really pissed that I pick the dark side choice at the end of chapter 1). I wonder if I flirt with other NPC will land me negative favor point with him? Thanks
  23. Thank you!!! I'll go and see if I can find a guild to join. hope I can find one on my server.
  24. Thank you for the comprehensive guide! Just a quick question: what if there's no guild on my server?
  25. Thanks! I was just frustrated by the "can't see target bug", although I'm not sure if I could beat him without that bug. As a sniper I guess I'm just so used to stationary behind cover, working with Los is not my thing.... I guess I'll go to Nar Shadaar and do some bonus quests, level up to 34, and see if I can beat him with kiting around... If I can't beat him at 34, I'll go join a guild and beg some nice person to help me out. Just the thought that I need to beat him 3 times make me feel depressed.
