  1. I haven't gotten him yet, but wondering if he can wear a helmet and other pieces of armor that actually show on him (unlike Khem Val)?
  2. Awesome, I was basing it off Talon, so glad to hear future flashpoints will give good XP.
  3. Is my initial reaction. So I decided to start a new char, but didn't want to go hoping planet to planet all over again, figured that I can just do main story and flashpoints to hit lvl50. I could be wrong, but it seems like the flashpoints aren't yielding enough XP? Anyone have any thoughts or real data on this?
  4. Going to have to give SWTOR another try... I played it at launch, but it had too many features missing, looks like that's no longer the case. Downloading all the missing patches now... see you all in game
  5. We don't need a LFG tool it will ruin the community (wait 2 months) -- hmmm, can't get a group, this community thing isn't working Ok maybe we do need a LFG tool... but server only.... cross server will ruin the community (wait 4 months) -- hmmm, ok we did the server only for a while, hey what about the cross server LFG thing, we need that! (wait 6 months) LFG ruined the SWTOR community posted on another game's board
  6. People that are anti-LFD have no real life friends and aren't social enough, so they want to force others to talk to them via an online game. OR They have all day to play with no real life of any sort, and just don't want to see casual gamers that log in for an hour or so succeed in forming FP runs. There I said it. Oh and then they call folks that want LFD lazy... why are we lazy? Because we want to log in for a little while then back out so we can continue living life? Doesn't sound very lazy to me.
  7. Use skydrive (part of hotmail), its awesome.
  8. http://www.gamespot.com/star-wars-the-old-republic/videos/video-preview-swtor-rise-of-the-rakghouls-6348508/?hd=1 Also talks about future DLCs and updates
  9. No chat bubbles Instances * 10 (many loading screens) Sharding No good way of grouping No dx11 Seems like a step backwards to me
  10. Bugs isn't want I'm disappointed in, matter of fact, i'm not really seeing bugs, its the gameplay thats subpar right now, new MMOs need to come out swinging and competing with what's on the market and not expect a pass based on launches of MMOs 7 years ago
  11. So everytime a new MMO comes out we have to compare it to 2004?
  12. if made too fast would it create an issue when using in small hallways and paths in fleet? I can see a bunch of peeps crashing into walls and what not
  13. don't think the fix is to make the world smaller, its about makeing more content to fill in the gaps, instead of just sending someone across the map on the first or 2nd quest.
  14. You call playing a little video game work? You talk about merit and experience here?? Dude we are sitting in front of a computer playing a video game, get over it, its supposed to be fun period, no life lessons here man, keep moving.
  15. I agree with OP. Would be nice if when you reach a new mission hub, there would be many quests gradually moving you further and futher from the hub, potentialy hitting another mission hub. Usually what's happening is that you reach one mission hub and the very first or second mission is already sending you across the map
  16. He mentioned WOW, I'm surprised no one here is saying "GO BACK TO WOW JAMES" as is the norm when someone mentions WOW around here.
  17. Problem is the people that don't want to see change feel they have more loyality/ownership of the game and its community, when in fact we all do and we all like to voice our opinions and feedback so to help shape the game (MMO are work in progress, they never come out complete and balanced, so people should expect change) But people who defend the game's current state think they are speaking for the devs over at BIO, when in fact the devs welcome feedback, since they want to see their games succeed, they rather have people voice their opinions, concerns, and differences, rather then just leave, and not give them the opportunity to fine tune their game. When the so called defenders send people back to WOW, i just think they can't come up with a reason to defend their point of view, so they rather just hide behind the tired blurb... go back to WOW
  18. 1) LFG tool 2) Chat bubbles 3) remove unneed loading screens (like the 4-5 I need to go through to board/exit ship to next planet)
  19. Gald to hear they are putting this in, wish the news would had come in a little sooner, would have saved me from all the bashing and insults from the non-LFD crowd, who didn't even want to compromise. I'll definitely come back to SWTOR once its in and give it a try. I don't know why people hate the WOW version so much, I never really had bad luck with it, but then again, I'm always on healz, and I manage to heal through bad tanks and lazy dps whenever I encounter them, so the griefing is kept at minimum and 9 times out of 10 the runs go by smoothly and enjoyable. Can't speak for groups with both bad tank and heals, those have to be a nightmare (or maybe not, I don't know) Also when I enter those random groups in WOW I don't go in expecting the worst, thinking everyone is a ninja or a jerk, because if I do, I myself will create just that environment, without the 'hey team', 'how's everyone', etc ... You too control the mood of the group you know I rarely come across ninja's BTW, I'm sure they exists, but I've been playing WOW on and off the last 7 years, and haven't seen the unbearable issue anti-LFD folks speak of... I know folks hate the ease of people dropping group, but remember, it could be due to a real life issue, and guess what, the tool lets you replace person almost as quickly as they dropped, so today in SWTOR if someone needs to drop due to real life issue, guess what, you'll be waiting for quite some time, many groups don't even survive that and disband Anyway, thanks BIO, for compromising some, and not listening to the crowd that claimed to know that things where good enough as they were.
  20. They are in cutscense b/c there aren't draw calls coming from other players... BIO would it be possible to put they in other areas where there aren't lots of draw calls coming in? Like: flashpoints (16 players max) hangers (only you) armor preview window and perhaps one day they will make it into general gameplay (don't throw away the code ) Anyway just a suggestion. as this is only 3rd in my list of things I would like to see fixed before I continue playing SWTOR.
  21. Option: Hi res for both cutscenes and flashpoints (not many player in there, 16 at most) ... oh and in dressing room preview.
  22. I love looking for groups, sometimes I sit in Fleet just whispering random people if they want to run a flashpoint (I whisper b/c I don't want to SPAM), I also like asking guildmates over and over if they want to drop whatever they are doing and come to the fleet so they can do what I have in mind... I myself hate it when I'm in the middle of finishing a quest but not getting guildmate asking me to go do a flashpoint instead, it sux not getting interupted that way. In reality, its soo much fun finding the group, that sometimes, after I get the group together, I immediately dopped party and try and form another one instead. Since that is the real fun, meeting people and asking them to go do a flashpoint with me.
