  1. Exactly, the code is an idea that followers of the Jedi strives for but that's all it is. Even in the Star Wars world everyone have human traits thus you can't be 100% on their chosen path because it's simply impossible unless you have a mental disorder which allows you to get obsessed by one topic. You an further this by saying; are you left or right in politics? Even if you are voting for a specific politic party you won't agree 100% with their views because there is no organisation that is 100% like you individually. The only ppl that do agree 100% with something are ppl with mental disorders ppl that chose to follow a church that kills its followers or the ppl who chose to follow Charles Manson and commit terrible crimes. In real life we vote for the organisation or person that represent most of the ideas and dreams that we want to reach taht doesn't mean that we will agree on everything that person is speaking about unless it's a one question political party. Even most light sided characters in the Star Wars world question their teachings or the Jedi code, the actions of their master because most of them are not blind followers (even though the Jedi technically are a religious cult). And even so the masters doesn't always follow the code either, for example Mace Windu who instead of calling upon the Jedi Council chose to face Palpatine by himself and act out in violence. Master Yoda has also went against the code several times and so have Anakin , Qui-gon, Kyle Katarn and Ahsoka.
  2. I didn't hate ever, I don't understand where this idea is that I "hate" Nolan North's voice acting in Vanilla because that is very far from the truth. I merely said that I preferred the new one and I've listened to it now through Oricon storyline, it's different in that it's a little more low key, there is a little of a "imperial" almost accent in the dialogue and it's a far less robotic. If you listen to Kenobi's voice acting esp in The Clone Wars he does have a lot of emotion. The greatest example being his resentment towards Darth Maul and how he tries to remember his teachings to not let his anger with Maul become a personal vendetta. The Jedi Code has never been about "don't have any emotions whatsoever" but rather about "being the master of your emotions" AKA being in full control never losing that control and act out in violence, anger, fear or selfishness. A great Jedi Master can't always be on the correct path because as a human you will always have doubts but what a great Jedi Master can do however is that he/she can focus and not let their emotions control their choices instead of logic. There's a name for ppl without emotions and it's called psychopaths. Even great Jedi battles everyday with control when you no longer battle with control then you might just be individual that needs to be sent to a mental institute before you hurt someone Star Wars is easier because there is always the right and the wrong path, unf reality is not as black and white and there is where the Jedi teachings flaws is
  3. I really love the female (I think I'll roll a female Shadow later). She sounds kinda cocky and like a "wise a-ss" to me
  4. I've really nothing big against the original by Nolan. The only problem I have with it is that because it lacks emotion (I do understand it's because you are in control of your emotions) it becomes dull to listen to and your character feels more like a robot then a personality. Even Satele and have some different emotive states going on when you interact with her and for me it's much easier to feel attached to a character that can allow him/herself some emotive state because that is human for me. I think Nolan does a great job with the dialogue for what it is but I don't necessary agree that being in control of your emotions = being a robot. What always made me like Kenobi a lot from the Clone Wars series was that sometimes he could feel regret, passion, sorrow and sometimes he could be on a personal vendetta. That's my only complaint with Nolan, his voice work leaves little to character development (it's a little better when you go gray and sometimes dark) and the new one is really great because there is some different tones and emotions going on when delivering the lines.
  5. Ok So... this is a new voice actor right because it sounds nothing alike the original one. Actually I think the new one sounds much better because there is actually some emotion put into the voice work instead of the robot from vanilla SWTOR. Or maybe it is the old one just that he delivers the lines differently and with a new tone in his voice? I hope this voice actor is here to stay
  6. Paragraphs dude. Learn how to use them I can't read your post I'm sorry but it's impossible without getting cancer
  7. and... /thread thx for that
  8. I hear you bro I had 30+ chars in City of Heroes/Villains Awesome game! But it was easy in CoX because that game was about creating "themes" of heroes/villains so if you were a little bit creative you could really roll out character after character.
  9. Not sure if you are serious... WoW didn't invent Haste and how it works. Haste stat was in RPG:s long before WoW even was an idea. Ah, to be one of you blissful people... You guys that believes that Dungeons & Dragons copied WoW
  10. Accoring to Dimmu SWTOR is not a theme-park MMORPG because WoW is it and because we don't want to copy WoW we can't call SWTOR a theme-park can we, now? Best logic EVAH Bottomline is; most RPG's that have the "Alacrity " stat calls it Haste if you think that WoW was first to call it haste then you're dumb beyond belief.
  11. Worst argument I've ever heard it's like saying we Volvo shouldn't call our vehicles cars because that's what Ford does. It's not about copying its about not making it confusing for your users. But I guess MAC's OSX isn't a operative system because that's what Microsoft calls it Can't copy!! Point is Haste makes much more sense then Alacricity. Haste 1. Rapidity of action or motion. 2. Overeagerness to act. 3. Rash or headlong action; precipitateness. Alacrity 1. Cheerful willingness; eagerness. 2. Speed or quickness; celerity. And also other games uses it and no not only that other game most RPG's in fact uses the word Haste because it's a good word that is easy to use and understand and makes sense even to those who are not as good at English as others. There's a reason that MMORPGS often use already proved models; you want your market to feel familiar with your game, the worst thing you can do in the MMORPG scene is to try to make something completely different. I'm not saying that there isn't theme park Everquest model MMORPGS out there I'm just saying that even sandbox MMORPG have a shroud of similarities to other games, even Haven and Hearth have similarities to Everquest. Making the argument that "you shouldn't call it haste because then it's like WoW " has to be the most unintelligent stupid ! argument I've heard this week and believe me I've heard a lot of retarded ****.
  12. I don't get it.. There is 4 classes with 2 AC's each that is 8 "classes". You can roll them on both sides so that is 16 characters. How can you have more then 22 ? o.O Not flaming or anything I'm seriously just curious. Do you have male and female toons for each class as well or is it because of different alignments so you have for instance 2 Scoundrels where one is Dark and one is Light? Just curious that's all
  13. Couldn't they just change it to Haste because that makes a lot more sense then Alacricity!? You don't need to come up with new terminology when other games already have good names for the different stats. Endurance > Stamina Sure I guess you could call Map a Chart instead but why when you can just call it Map like every other game does.
  14. I think it's because the stereotypical comic woman, and the style they went for in SWTOR, always have big eyes because that makes her more "prettuh" while the men have more sunken in smaller eyes so they can look "manleuh". I remember back in the day when I used to draw comic style (westenern, not anime) and doing a lot of sketches of models this was one thing the were very recurring to me taking a lot of inspiration from DC comic issues where gender is stereotypical and generalized. Our real world doesn't work that way thankfully enough. Every girl is not ultra feminine and every male is not a body-builder with the perfect chin and chiselled look. The best thing a game can do is to try to give as much possibilities to the players as it can; for example; I am very happy with my character with everything beside that he is Body Type 2 male. I'd like a more normal looking dude, you know slim but not really athletic... just like.. average. Like ppl look when you go to the gym 2-3 times a week and eat pizza on the Fridays. Well... a boy can dream
  15. Voss player race urghh... You know we could actually instead get a cool race like Nautolan or Togruta. Yes I know that the OP is bs:ing but I really do hope we don't get Voss. They are super laaaaaaaaaame
  16. Hmm this seem frustrating as well... I think the whole ability actually have to be looked at. Sins Death Grip is more or less instant although you travel a little slow to them but at least there I know I'm being pulled. The grapple seem to be a wild card, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes you escape sometimes when you think you have escaped you get pulled over a 5+ meter high wall. Overall this game need to have better queues for you to react to what is happening. I have the same issue with Force Stun that I am using, it's instant, targeted and can't be evaded. Thus my opponent will always get stunned. It only has 50 sec cd and lasts for 4 secs. That's not even balanced IMO, stuns is something you should use sparingly and intelligently. Game changers as I said before. but with a 50 sec cd it will be up more or less every fight if I die and have to respawn. I don't understand why stuns are a casual ability in this game. Compare this to snipers leg shot that is a traited ability. Leg shot is a great skill because it's a game changer, needs to be traited and it's a strong tactical ability which rewards you for smart play. Meanwhile I sage can throw out free casual stuns from left to right on a 50 sec CD loool... Ssly Bioware why is stunning so casual in this game?
  17. Not sure either it was lag but I didn't get teleported.. I got pulled from the position I ended up in after running away. The only explanation I can find for this was that I got grappled before I started to run and the delay of the animation took a while to catch up with me even if I got away I did initially get hit thus it counted as I was grappled. It's like the old Pudge + Chen trick when Pudge hooks someone and Chen sends pudge back to base. If it's not lag which it might be then I think the grapple need to have a max range because being pulled over the wall (it's like a 2 meter wall in width, 5 meter in height or something) is just silly.
  18. Just to clarify because re-reading my post I was a little unclear of my intentions; I'm not saying that "zomg its OP need nerfzorz" because it's not overpowered. The issue is just that for me it's the same reason as why they changed the original project (ability delay which in that case worked unfavourably for Sages). I was just posting to get a greater understanding because coming mainly from that other game's PvP which has it's own problems that game has at least snap time actions. If I'm going to get CC'ed in anyway I know that there, its not like I run through Alterac Valley and suddenly I get Death Gripped from a DK that should not see me no way whatsoever. So again; this was not a QQ post it was just a honest question because sometimes I can LoS without a problem and sometimes I get pulled over walls, through ground, around walls etc. This makes the skill unreliable to me and if it's one thing the other game is good at then it's that it's very clear as to what ability is cast on you on any given time. It's also very clear when you are about to get stunned, one issue in SWTOR is that while you can ofc plan on what the opponents rotation will be the stun is not visible until you do get stunned,. Compare it to Shockwave in the other game which is a powerful nuke/stun that is avoidable and a big move if you hit with it. Again; not saying anything is OP because I think the game is pretty balanced actually, I'm just saying that personally I think that BW kinda put themselves in a corner with treating CC like this. CC is a little to casual in SWTOR while it should be a game changer (which is it) -but I mean a game changer as in if I get off a Leap for example to someone then that should allow me to do my thing and if I'm doing good then I'm rewarded. What I'm a little against to in SWTOR is that the CC is pretty inflated, there is so much of it (I don't have problem with the amount) - but I do have problem in how you use it in the game. Instead of being a game changing ability or a -get out of jail card- in SWTOR it's a mechanic that you throw around casually and seldom save for specific moments (yes I know that scoundrel/ops plays a little different but even then CC is handled very casually). And before anyone say "BW gave up on PVP so don't bother" - I don't believe that to be true for a second. I'm sorry I derailed a little in my post
  19. Necro lol Yes the breasts is too big indeed. I've always been a guy that prefer my women with athletic bodies (swimmers) and smaller but round firm breasts. The breasts in this game for body type 2 especially are too big. When you are working out that much, fat decreases from your body this goes for the boo bies as well. There's like no real competitive female athlete in real life that has big breasts because they are training so much and so hard that they lose a lot of body fat. Body 4 looks great though. Body type 2 doesn't look terrible by any means the chest area just looks unrealistic but at least it's better then the male bodies awkward butt that is not wide enough, awkard standing pose and awkard chest.
  20. Thx snooped around a little. It is indeed a hooded down version of the Centurion armor. Well.. well the Battlemaster will have to do for me ^^
  21. Or is grapple incredibly bugged? The more I PVP the more frustrated I get on this ability. Situation; Me a Sage was doing a dumb thing in Cannon Facility. Long story short I stood in the wrong place and got jumped by 4 ppl. Nothing strange there just me being bad. So I pop Force Barrier directly since that was the only thing I could do to live through the incoming onslaught which I did with more or less full HP. Immediately as the Barrier went down I popped a Stim and Force Run. As I passed one of corners leading to the grass areas I relaxed thinking to myself that I am safe now but noooooo... Suddenly a wild grapple appears and pulls me all the way back to the mid!! This grapple came from a Bounty Hunter that was standing close to the Landing site turret in the middle of the map which means that this mysterious grapple had first; travelled a veeeery long distance (speaking of at least a kilometer here) across the map, secondly; hit me although I was gone from mid a long time ago and had LoS:ed everyone on their team. I've noticed this a lot in huttball as well. I do understand that the grapple seem to have a delay because the animation have to play out but since its uncounterable (you can't purge it) for the love of god can the game please inform me on that I am about to get grappled? The assassins "Death Grip" is intuitive because it's instant so I know where I'm heading but when I pass everyone, run behind a wall and continue running and then suddenly get hit by a grapple that goes through the map? ***? How am I supposed to plan out that? Doesn't it have a max range that breaks if you run far enough? If it doesn't then I'm going to roll a BH today and grapple everything and everyone. Confused The grapple is like Pudge hook in Dota 2 but even worse since you can't counter it or dodge it you are more or less dead as a squishy if you get hit. When I PvP I WANT to be able to know what is happening and what is going to happen to my character in the game and I don't know that because I never know when I'm going to get hooked/I don't know if I'm safe from being hooked. At least you can move out of the way of Pudge hook
  22. Show me on this doll where the bad man touched you
  23. Hi can anyone please help me with this It looks somewhat like the sage Battlemaster armor but with other textures and the hood is down. If I remember correctly I think it was even featured in the old Sage introduction video. My question is; does it even exist for players or is it a armor that only exist for this one NPC and in the video? This is the armor I am wondering about: Front Back If it's not available, Bioware please put it in the cartel store
