  1. The only thing that is broken for me currently is the Regen toys; they do not give back class resources (force, heat etc.) at an increased speed.
  2. I can't find the video now, but James Ohlen, one of the originals of the SWTOR development team, said in an interview that their original idea was a more action based combat system with active blocks, etc., but the management wanted Bioware to capture the WoW audience (kill WoW), so Ohlen and co. had to scrap their ideas and copy the boring hotbar combat style of World of Warcraft. The biggest problem this decision created for Bioware was that by the time SWTOR came out, Blizzard had already changed its combat system to a more modern, faster system. So SWTOR was already behind at release, and as a founder, I didn't get to experience QoL like Group Finder and transmog until much later in SWTOR's lifetime. This really killed SWTOR's potential as a competitor to WoW. Of course, I do not know if SWTOR would have been a rival to World of Warcraft if SWTOR had kept the original ideas for combat, but I am pretty sure that in trying to copy World of Warcraft, the only thing that set it apart was the IP, story, and voice acting, and that was not enough to fight the titan. As always: failure of management, of the people making the decisions.
  3. Hi, I missed out when the set came back to CM. If someone has the armor box please send me a PM or reply in this thread. Cheers,
  4. [Apprentice Pummeler/Bulwark MK-2] is the set that looks like Master Orgus Din armor and is also similar to the [Culling Blade] set. Prior to 7.1 this set was rewarded through starter quests on Tython for Jedi Knights in two versions: MK1 (hoodless) MK2 (Hood down and some changes on boots and belt). With 7.1 for some reason Bioware decided (or maybe just didn't notice) to remove this set out of the reward table. I've already tried to do an item recovery through a ticket on a character that has the whole MK2 set except the boots and belt, but because the character was created and items deleted more than 3 months ago, CS can't restore the missing [Apprentice Pummeler/Bulwark MK-2] items to me. Is there any chance Bioware that you can add the set/s to the adaptive vendor on the fleet? Please.
  5. Question: I am a legendary player since years back and levelled a new character to 75 without doing story past starter planet. Do you mean that although I am legendary and have done every class story several times, my new character won't be able to pick a second combat style before I have conpleted CH3 on that character??

  7. Personally.. No thank you to delay! Release the patch/story and fix what doesn't work correctly throughout the months. Bioware's SWTOR division is not big enough and have enough funding for me to demand everything be buttersmooth. I do not have issues with bugs as long as the company work towards continuing support and fixing as much as they possible can after launch, but I'm not naive enough to believe that you can just handwave away issues with too little funding, Manpower and Covid. They have already delayed the combat stances for almost two months which is way too long IMO (my most wanted feature).
  8. Thank you for testing the feature for us! This is what I meant with that Bioware have been terrible at explaining and informing the players about how exactly the combat styles will work in 7.0. Information should hve been clear and readidly availible for us because why make a change like this if you do not aim to get new players into the game? There's a big lack of selling features by Bioware and this will probably go under the radar. They don't need to use s huge AD campaign. Use social media... Just use something...
  9. Hi and thank you for clarifying! I am a legendary player since years back so then I shouldn't have any issues with taking a break until 7.0 is released and play the character as I intended. Regarding Bioware creating hype; I feel that putting out a video now that better explains their intention about combat styles for example would be a good idea for people that are unsure about what the change means (and there seem to be a lot of us that are unsure). I feel that Bioware have overall communicated very badly about 7.0. Some of that I do perfectly understand have to do with Covid, but overall, not explaining to people exactly and in a well communicated manner when exactly 7.0 will release (hopefully feb 15 but who knows?) and what we should look forward too feels pretty strange to me . They are supposed to sell the update to their consumers but they are not selling anything ATM. That's strange to me... do they not want our money?
  10. I think this was a mistake TBH. So, I have a new rolled Trooper sitting at lvl 56 that I have dressed up in a Republic uniform. The idea was "suprise, suprise" to RP the character as a Republic officer and therefor the second combat style is going to be Scoundrel/Ruffian, since I think single blaster makes more sense for an officer. I already tried with another character on PTS and I completely missed that you have to complete Chapter 3 of your class story BEFORE you can add the second combat style. It's absolutely not gamebreaking OFC but ruins the RP; playing through the story as I intended the character to work. Sure, I could reroll but I am not in the mood to regrind fleet commendations, spend 100's of millions credits on dyes etc etc. The other thing that kinda worries me; we are almost in february.... is Bioware not a bit too quiet regarding the launch date and hype surrounding it?
  11. Still waiting for this issue to be fixed....
  12. - Complains about how EA/Bioware treates their customers - Buys ESO and inserts a proud screenshot of the purchase 10/10 *golfclap*
  13. Can't believe this have not been done yet.. Fix it Bioware so I can roll my female Sith Warrior and look swag!

  15. So much this! While I'm not advocating against PVP and have personally done it a fair bit in this game because I wanted to get Battlemaster on my Warrior and my Sage for their Battlemaster Armor I still think that outside of occasional dueling and open PVP zones, competitive PVP in MMORPGs are terrible. If I want to actually experience good PVP then I'll play either a RTS, a MOBA or a Shooter. MMORPG's even back in DAoC have always just been such a bad genre for competitive player vs player modes. What annoy me even more is how PVP tends to "break" the PVE aspects because of this or that skill is slightly too good in PVP thus it needs to be nerfed and thus PVE players suffer. Why developers just can't stop being lazy and make skills work differently in PVP and PVE are beyond me and why we are even still wasting time and resources getting PVP modes into MMORPG titles is also beyond me. It's a BAD genre for player vs player bottom line. Keep dueling and open world PVP zones that you can enter at your leisure but stop wasting resources developing "competitive" PVP in MMORPGs when the genre simple cannot pull of PVP at that level.
  16. If you want to play PvP you should play another genre in my humble opinion. MMORPGS from the dawn of time including DAoC have always been terrible at the PvP part. If you want PvP you either play a competitive shooter, a MOBA or a RTS not a MMORPG. And also OP... can I haz yo stuf?
  17. Exal Kressh robe looks very similar to the orange Inquisitor robes you can buy on GTN between 40-50, You also have the legacy Renowned robe that looks exactly as the picture of the concept art you posted, is hood down with a a visible hood but lacks the shoulders that Exal's have. I've been looking for something like Zash's robe when she becomes a Darth but have only found those orange that I mentioned between 40-50 but I think unfortunately that all of them are hood up if you want the shoulders as well.
  18. You didn't read my question; My initial question in the first post was about AOE not about "who is better" or "who is more fun". I was asking about which class between the Assassin and the Juggernaut had better AOE abilities. This is one of the reasons that Sorcerer (which have always been a good soloer) is so strong now; because Sorcerer with Force Barrier, Treek and Force Storm which is granted at lvl 12 instead of 32 now simply destroys any difficult content including soloing Flashpoints while levelling. Whether or not a class have good AOE or not do in fact matter since classes with bad AOE in this game have to rely on having good defensive cooldowns or play in Tank spec to solo H4's on their own. Heal specced Scoundrel/Operative are also strong with a tank companion because of 1 CC and 1 heal. That's why I was wondering if Juggernaut or Assassin have the better AOE damage because the class with the better AOE damage coupled with the better defensive cooldowns is the class that also will survive difficult group content on their own. My initial question that you missed was about outside of Smash Juggernaut doesn't have much in regards to AOE = they will have to spend more time moving from mob to mob thus take more damage before the groups is dead and thus I was wondering whether Assassin have about the same limited choice of AOE as Juggernaut or if they are stronger in the AOE compartment. The whole reason Death Knights are so good in that other game while levelling is because of healing from diseases + very good damage output due to Tank mechanic that synergizes with diseases makes a Blood Death Knight the fastest levelling spec in the game. So my question was how does Assassin and Juggernaut compare in terms of each other in AOE and Mitigation/CD's. I know just how good Enraged Defense is but I don't know about Assassins.
  19. Might need some advice here I have an old lvl 55 Juggernaut but I'm going to start levelling new characters instead of playing my old ones. What I always hated with the Juggernaut while levelling and also doing dailies is that you often had to "chase down" mobs individually due to Juggers having limited ways of gap closing and very weak AOE. I always hated how Sith Warriors lack that one thing that makes Warriors in that other game fun; lack of mobility. I understand very well that this is because of balance to PvP and that the other game have had some issues in that department on both spectrum when it comes to the Warrior class but I can't shake the feeling that SWTOR's Warrior feels slow and "ropy"., That's why I only do dailies with my Sage. No time wasted running around to hit mobs that have like 100 hp left after a combo. When you plow through several groups of mobs I remember it could become quite tiresome becauseof having to move your character from mob with slowed movement speed (combat run speed). So I'm wondering about how Hatred Sith Assassin's AOE looks these days in comparison to either Marauders or Juggernauts AOE. Any advice would be awesome !
