  1. As a new level 50 this is a great reference guide. Thanks for taking the time to put it together
  2. I was asked by a CSR agent in-game to post my feedback that we had discussed in-game here in the Suggestion Box so here goes... Although I do appreciate the various iterations the dev team is making to the quickslot/ability cooldown UI the latest version of it that was changed in the 1.1.2 patch is extremely distracting. The main problem is that whenever an ability is used that is bound by the global cooldown, all other abilities that are gcd bound are being highlighted, showing the cooldown animations, being framed in a white border, and finally flashing when the gcd is finished. This basically results in the majority of my quickslots (30 or so of them) constantly flashing on my screen causing me to constantly look at them due to the flashing and I have to look closely at each ability to see whether it's on cooldown or not before using it. As a tank in my case, I need to be able to easily see this in my peripheral vision or while quickly glancing at my quickslot hotbars since my attention needs to be constantly focused on the surrounding combat environment which currently is hard to do. My suggestion to improve the current cooldown UI would be to: - Only have the ability that has been used and is on normal cooldown (not global cooldown) should show the cooldown animation. To better illustrate what I mean here, use an ability that is not on GCD such as Enrage or Endure Pain (Sith Warrior Juggernaut). - Similarly, either remove the flashing of all gcd bound ability quickslots or at least restrict it to those abilities that are coming off regularly ability cooldowns and not the GCD. - Remove the newly introduced white border around abilities on cooldown (it's a little excessive) or at least change it to a less contrasting color, a slightly different shade of blue that would still highlight that ability without making it stick out and look out of place. Hope the above is clear enough and taken as constructive feedback to be considered by the devs in their next iteration of the cooldown UI. Thanks
  3. Just wanted to say thank you for this detailed post. Some of us players understand how difficult it is to track down causes of such bugs and fix them properly without breaking something else, and it's good to see the Devs acknowledging these problems and that they are indeed actively working on resolving them. Good communication between the Devs and player base won't satisfy/quiet down all of the forum users but it's reassuring to quite a few of us Looking forward to these changes!
  4. That was the crafted armor set that made me drop Synthweaving and hate my Jedi Knight
  5. Luckily I did this pretty early on in my Synthweaving career and was the main reason I dropped it (changed to Cybertech, then dropped that for Biochem *sigh*)
  6. Underworld Trading gives you both rare metals and cloth which can be used for crafting the four armor types (heavy and light synthweaving, heavy and medium armor mech).
  7. I'm a 28 Defense Guardian and contemplating swapping to a Focus/Vigilance build for PvP but would still like to tank heroics & FPs for my guildies, so I'm wandering the same thing.
  8. You're referring to Neural Jolt which is our single target taunt, whereas I was referring to Neural Surge our AOE stun that we don't get till level 46 (can't wait to get it). ---------------------- Regarding Harpoon and Stealth Scan I thought that they only immobilize (slow down the target) not stun. Or am I understanding this incorrectly and slows are also considered as incapacitating abilities? If not, then that leaves us with only the two stuns I'd previously mentioned from Cryo Grenade (single target) and the AOE stun from Neural Surge). I do vaguely recall some dev post stating that the Sith Warrior Juggernaut/Jedi Knight Guardian abilities which are similar to Blitz are really only intended for PvE trash mobs as others have mentioned here, which is a shame really but oh well. Edit: Here's that dev post I was referring to earlier: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=789379#edit789379
  9. My Vanguard's still low level so I don't have Blitz yet, but looking at the class abilities it seems you'd only be able to use it with Cryo Grenade or Neural Surge. Of course if someone else stuns your target you could also use it then. If it doesn't work with either of those two abilities then I'd say it's bugged. Any high level Vanguards that can confirm this either way?
  10. Is the 1 ammo regen really that useful on a 15 sec. cooldown? I'm only 17 on my Vanguard but trying to decide on which to go for, Energy Blast (elemental damage looks good as it can be buffed with talents) or Gut for the DOT but I guess this might be redundant with a talented Stock Strike (Ion Overload). Hmm, did I just answer myself? I really want to Gut those Imp scum
  11. Saw this in another Vanguard thread that I'm looking forward to getting: E-313 Blaster Rifle Tatooine speciality goods vendor http://img861.imageshack.us/img861/9591/screenshot2011122508243.jpg
  12. I'm also a supporter of a buy back option. I'd also like to suggest better filtering options/filtering options that work. When I select Show Usable or something along those lines, it shouldn't be showing me gear for other classes, and definitely not gear that's above my level.
  13. The default keybind worked for me (was it Alt-T ? not in-game atm). Might want to reset it to the default keybind and trying that first as I've heard from some friends that they've had problems when changing keybinds for some actions.
  14. As a Sith Warrior/Jedi Knight (just switched sides) I tend to throw my Guard ability on a melee dps (or other dps classes that are closer to the action) and go after objectives. I've voted for dps classes before regardless of their raw damage numbers, if I noticed them going after ball carriers, or other strategic targets. Same goes for healers, I'll only vote for those that are healing people that should be healed (not the guy sitting in a corner of the map 1-vs-1 with someone else).
