  1. Just another "I want an end game toon and I don't want to level for it" gamer. The leveling in SWTOR is just fine. In fact, I think it goes by too fast. The storylines are awesome and if you're whizzing through them, you're missing the best part of the game. (It should be noted the original poster has not returned to this thread)
  2. I like to use it for my lower 50 toons, head to Makeb and boom! 55.
  3. Knees and butt still broke. Skull still sticking out of my Marka helmet. I told ya'll so.
  4. You want a better gaming experience? Then stick in a fast SSD secondary drive and re-install SWTOR on it. A LOT of skipping is caused by your drive needle writing. That blazing fast card can't perform if your HD is doing the hokey pokey. Remember that your machine is only as good as your weakest link (don't get me started about the bus). With that in mind, you should think about how good your physical RAM is and your bloody old MB (can your MB actually handle the new card and let it's capabilities shine through?). Oh, and we all forget that no matter how great a new card might be, if your monitor is still that Dell that came with your original computer 10 years ago, it ain't gonna fly. But to answer the question directly: GTX 660 Ti is my baby and I love it.
  5. Both Makeb and Oricon aren't showing up on the codex planet list for some of my characters. Oddly, they show up just fine on a few, but not all. I've tried exiting the game with a toon standing in the middle of Makeb and re-launching with no effect. I've gone to Fleet and took my ship to both planets with no effect. Ah, The Infamous Codex of SWTOR.
  6. Anyone know what and where the 6th Bestiary Codex entry for Alderaan is? I have these five and cannot find any info on a sixth... Manka Cat Thranta Iraida Vorn Tiger Bolraida Is this just another in the seemingly infinite list of codex omissions or is it attainable?
  7. I know this doesn't help you or specifically address your original question, but maybe it'll serve as a word of warning to any gamer thinking of upgrading to Windows 8... DON'T!
  8. Anyone for putting together an Empire Fleet datacron run? If anyone is forming please let me know here or in-game. Character name: Xto'en. It's the last one. I've got all the others. I know you know what I mean.
  9. We've all been asking for an Appearance Tab since pre-launch. Hey, but Starfighter.
  10. It's been this way since beta days. There is no barrier geometry on robes and capes. Never was and never will be. I've just come to live with my robe hanging through my speeder. You can too.
  11. Why did I know nothing would be fixed with the awful Starfighter 2.6? That's a rhetorical question. This and a million other bugs and broken elements still bugged and broken. SWTOR has taken a turn in the completely wrong direction and chosen to go full steam ahead with it. I'm sick of asking for the same things over and over since pre-launch days and this broken mesh is just the last straw on a very over-burdened camel's back. SNAP! Subscription cancelled, I'm done. Yes, I'm letting the door kick me on the way out. With the way the mesh is buggy, it wouldn't hurt.
  12. So, the female arse mesh is still broken, skulls still stick through Ragnos helmets, the horrifically broken Codex hasn't changed, there's still no guild ranking/search/recruiting, no all companion romance, no news of more playable races, no new faces/hairstyles/bodytypes, no housing, cartel categories still make no sense, collections are still a holy hot mess, no this, no that, etc., etc., etc... But hey, Starfighter. For the record, Starfighter isn't the game I signed up to play. I'm sure many like it, but it should be it's own stand-alone Xbox title (if memory serves, it once was... and it was better than this malarky). It's apparent that every last bit of dev resources at BW has been dedicated to monetizing this project to the detriment of the rest of the game in general. I've had it. I'm done. And yes, I'll let the door kick me on the arse on the way out. Might help it, certainly wouldn't make it look any worse.
  13. If you max affection points (10K) on any companion, you will receive an Achievement. You'll see it flash on the screen when you do. Companion conversations are tied to, but independent of max affection points. You unlock a companions icon in Legacy 10+ Presence boosts each when you've finished the last conversation (most all conversation arcs are just that, but each profession has a companion that will have actual missions to complete in order to unlock them). You won't be able to finish any storyline arc until you're around level 40 or so (I forget exactly when... so don't worry when they go silent on you for long periods of time). After you've maxed affection points and gained the Achievement for that companion, you can still lose points with them (though you won't lose the Achievement). This is truly frustrating for anyone, like myself, that values things like codex, legacy and achievements. The system won't give you any points above 10K, but it will take them away. So, if this bothers you, keep some cheaper gifts in inventory that you know your companion likes and max them out every once in a while. And yes, once the final companion conversation is done, they don't talk to you again (aside from the automated environments sound bites).
  14. To answer the question: Yes, there have been patches since the bug.
  15. WOO-HOO! F-Finally! http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=718544 They had better be fixing my girls tucus. All I'm sayin'.
  16. Agreed. On my last couple toons to 55 I stayed on Voss, Corellia and Ilum as much as I could to enjoy the experience. If I played Makeb, I'd make the 5 levels in a day or two.
  17. When? No, seriously, when?
  18. I think it would be very advantageous for me to take one over then. Thanks!
  19. If I took one of my toons from Begeren Colony where I'm a Level 40 Legacy and transferred him to Shadowlands, would I now be Level 40 on both BC and Shadowlands? I'm an old Vrook Lamar refugee who has never quite gotten used to the rather, oh, what's the word for it... (blank) population on BC. I started a toon over on Shadowlands recently and am liking the folks there. Problem is, it's a pain to suddenly be Legacy 1 or 2 again and start all over. I know you know what I mean.
  20. Vrook Lamar was a 10. Begeren Colony is a 6.
