  1. All these games came out using new features at the time also. Swtor is being ran off system that had already been developed and heavily worked on. It isn't using new technology that required stu/ nvidia to release drivers to fix the small issues. It already been done..years ago These aren't issues relating to a specific series of cards or developer ..but across multiple series from both..big difference
  2. Is that the same response that said it was clearly customers PC problems? I mean really..lots posts going on.about its our PC..and for dome is true. But for us with.higher end machines..this low Res fix is not a fix for us. Its for lower end PC with issues everywhere. A fix to bad GPS on High end machines that is about disabling all the features is not a great response. It is just saying they can't make it work..so we will turn it off. Same response we hit for High res setting ..removed.
  3. if your having fps problems I feel bad for you son..I got 99 fps..and you got none
  4. They can't. They already blamed it on all the players. Even if they go back now and say it was their fault .they will lose credibility as developers and respect of the players they wrongly blamed. They already official said it isn't them at all.
  5. It must be your internet. I run blazing fast netzero ay 56 KB/ sec. Maybe you guys are still stuck on cable. You need optimize your internets better.
  6. when you create a game..you create an engine that can run well on a wide range of computers. Well..any decent compnay will do this. This is especially true for a MMO..who's appeal is a mass audience, optimizing your games engine to run on a very specific set of hardware is a issue for the company. This is not the customers problem. If we were running below the minimum/recommended requirements, then yes this would be true. However, we aren't. It is fully on bioware to create a optimized engine that supports actual hardware..not just a few of them.
  7. this is true..but not the issue that is being discussed here
  8. we dont have a problem with bioware fixing the issue..at least I dont. That is why I still have a sub. But bioware says its not a problem..its us..so they will introduce a even lower setting. Sorry but if I get 10 fps on max settings..10 fps on LOWEST Settings..at the LOWEST resolution..a little bit less will not fix it. They are not trying to fix it..that is the issue.
  9. but that is just it..it doesn't happen with every game. There are many games out there where this isn't an issue at all. Rift is a great example..open world vs world boss..300-500 people ..no issues at all.
  10. And I have no problems in fleet..so obvious you can't possibly have problems there My point is, there are games out there that can and do handle this just fine. This can't. People with a variety of machines with high end graphics cards and cpu's can't do it. Some people can. That is great for them..means it was optimized to work with what they have. But a large amount of us still have these issues. The engine isn't optimized to handle this, and this is an engine problem. There is a reason we have..minimum and recommended settings..not "required" settings. Fact is most of us are using either dual or quad core cpus. AMD or Intel will make a difference yes..but not to the point that your fps staggers to handle a game made to be used on average pc's. Hardly are any games this poorly done. Im sure some of the people complaining are probably running minimum requirements expecting to run on max, and it just wont happen. But this isn't what we are having problems with. If I get FPS with max settings..as I do at the lowest possible settings..then something is indeed wrong. This isn't isolated to 1 or 2 people running a specific card or cpu. There is indeed something wrong with the game that is causing it. /4 years programming..but yeah I quit..didn't like it as much as I thought. Fact is..those of us with the mid-high end machines have no performance difference between the highest possible settings and the lowest possible settings and having the same issue in the same areas for the same reasons. That is not a hardware issue that requires us to "get something better".
  11. Just going say i have a mid-high end machine. Can play entire game on Max settings with no problem. I can't play ilum and get better then 10 fps on **lowest possible setting **. I can Max crysis two no problem. So you tell me being able to play one of highest demanding games just fine..but can't do this game on its lowest is a *computer not good enough * issue. Please. Lots of people have this issue across Hugh and mid end machined. Some don't. Good for you. But there are issued with the game that isn't optimized for many if us. A ultra low setting wont solve this for majority of us. Oh..and i can do world bosses in rift just fine... that's 300+ people at once ..not just 100..just saying ...lets go bioware
  12. They clearly state that cheating is allowed in hutt ball. Now please stop complaining about it. It is clear bioware supports it.

    Ilum is unplayable

I do use applications settings..I even set every setting in game to the lowest possible setting. It happens to a large number of people. It isn't a hardware issue. Computers like mine that can run the most demanding games on the highest settings can not run Ilum even on the lowest settings..in a game that is supposed to be optimized for average pc's. And it is only Ilum.

    Ilum is unplayable

seems like the case. If they dont plan to optimize it better..because it could be fun.

    Ilum is unplayable

it really is. Im not running the best machine..but it is far from the worst. I can play the rest of the game all on high and never drop below 60 fps. Soon as I get to Ilum..its like 10 fps. I turned everything to low, AA off, dropped the resolution to 1024x768 and it is still completely unplayable. 6 GB ram, geforce gtx 460, quad amd phenom at 3.6ghz I can play crysis 2 on almost max settings..but can't play ilum on the lowest..wow.
  16. Because the story isn't that great. People only thing it's great compared to other MMO's because it is shoved down your throat with the VA. Now my experience is only with the smuggler, so maybe that's it, but everything int he story is just utterly pathetic. By no means is it on par with anything bioware has created in the past..or a majority of any single player games out. I mean..as a smuggler..you literally catch up to the person who stole your ship..yeah some random guy just ups and steals all your stuff..just to hear "hey..yeah hes not here he went to the store but he will be right back". So instead of waiting for the person to come back from the store..you just steal a part..and leave. Yeah..you just let the guy come back..and fly away again..just so you can install this part. Really? That is great story telling..you abandon your entire purpose to do something that you are going to tell another crew member to do anyway. Let's not forget this random mandalorion sith who is going to join you..just because. No real reason..just does it. You can literally sleep with anyone 2 minutes after you meet them..for the first time. I can't even begin to tell you what is gong on with the non class story. I have done every FP up to Colicoid and I have no f'in clue what is going on. It is very uninteresting. Sorry..but there isn't really anything to appreciate..it is a very low grade story, with poor writing that is masked by overpaid VA. Its laughable.
  17. and Honestly, I would be fine with exactly that..as long as it at least promoted group content, which TOR does not really do..at all. in DCUO..all the end game is group based. Even trying to do daily wanted (forget actual name) quests requires at least 2 people for almost all of them. Sure, you can solo to 30, and explore all the cities for feats..but you can also max your level is 2-3 days. Never played the rest..so can't comment. My MMO is limited to FFXI (when it first came) Rift, DCUO and Dragons Nest (and Wakfu). All these games, while had a ton of solo content, still promoted and rewarded you for grouping and such. It gave you a good reason to even want to group up. TOR discourages you from grouping. It is promoting its solo content. Now you might say the last 5 years of games have been this way, and your probably right. And it is my opinion that I think they really shouldn't. But as you said..in an attempt to make money, they do more single content..and now we have almost everyone that prefers it because it is the standard. I just find it a little sad is all.
  18. And that's fine. As long as your ok with it, solo all you want. It doens't bother me..nor the other solo people. I know multiplayer doesn't mean, force it. I wouldn't want to be forced to group for every little thing either. But this is a MMO..not just a multiplayer game. MMO's are designed around multiplayer, that is the genre. The fact that a multiplayer game discourages multiplayer is asinine to me. My point is, as a multiplayer game, the contant should be mostly based around multiplayer things. So far, in this game it is exactly the opposite.
  19. No one said you should be forced too. But is should be encouraged and centered around multiplayer content. If you want to do it solo, that is your decision, but realize that you are playing a multiplayer game as a single player game and the content you can't do because of multiplayer aspect shouldn't be complained about. I dont go play Kingdoms of Amalur complaining it has no multiplayer content. I knew it was single player, I bought it and play it because it is. So by all means..go play solo..but give us our multiplayer content, and dont complain when you can't do it because it wasn't shouldn't be designed to be solo. It is a multiplayer game.
  20. because it is tailored to the solo crowed. In it's current form this isn't a MMO..it is a single player game that has multiplayer elements. It is just a resistant world. The fact it call's itself a MMO is wrong. Those of us who want the MMO game we pay for are asking them to make it so. You can go solo all you want, but you will miss out on the multiplayer part. That is your choice..just as those who party will miss out of solo solo benefits. Fact is, as a MMO, this game should be tailored to multiplayer content, and built around that kind of community.
  21. We play/bought this game because of the type of game it is. A MMO..A multiplayer game. This is why we play it..because it is MULTIPLAYER..if we wanted solo play..we would go play a single player game. It is as simple as that.
  22. eh. I am on a very heavily populated Server (anchorhead) and I still have this problem also. I can spend hours in fleet and the only FP I see people ask for is essels. Even trying to create a group is frustrating..as you will get 2-3 people..just to have them leave after an hour of finding a 4th. You can't even go questing because of the way the chat works. You just sit there spamming and do nothing. At level 44..I just spent today going to tatooine (looking for pvp open world area), Hoth, Quesh and Balmora (for my smuggler quests) do not see a single planet with more then ***10*** people on it. 10!. That is across 4 different planets. 94 people in my guild with at maximum only 3-4 people ever online..all of which who tell me the same thing random people in fleet say. Skip grouping till you hit max level and just do hards, solo the rest. Sorry..but this is really a pathetic excuse for an MMO community wise. Now mind you I never played WoW. I have played FFXI and Rift..and honestly I had a better time finding parties in FFXI when it was harder years ago.
  23. im sorry...I thought I paid for a finished product..not invested in a work in progress...guess I got that wrong
  24. correct. That is exactly right. And no..im not being sarcastic. If you want to group up..you pretty much have to roll sith.
