  1. I agree. World PvP can be improved..I mean at least offer a title for killing so many..credits.LS points..exp. Have factions control zones for rewards and the like Right now..you get NOTHING..it serves no purpose but to grief others. Adding in pre end game content is kind of difficult now because so many people are already end game. Like I said..they made it way to easy to reach. Very few people are going crazy on them..most are just saying..Hey..we are bored here. If a lack of end game content was the issue on release..make getting there take longer..give them time to develop it, while we feel like we accomplish something as we work our way there..no a sense grind that can easily be achieved in 2 weeks casually. Problem is..people were saying this in beta..and BW wasn't listening..and they really aren't now. Their current goal is to "expand" their playerbase. Retaining the bored crowed doesn't really hurt them atm. Basically it can easily be boiled down too..the content is to easy and can can be finished quickly. When it is this way..keeping up with content to keep the people happy is goign to be difficult..this is entirely BW fault also.
  2. why is it that bad. It is a good thing to allow use to even try it before we buy it. It doesn't say anything about them struggling..its good practice. Offer a product for free and maybe entice people who may not of bought it.
  3. Why does it only have to have "end game" content added to be enjoyable? I played FFXI for 4 years..never hit level cap on the 2 characters I had. They introduced CoP which was new..and guess what..wasn't end game content either. It was level capped content..and it worked pretty well. As it stands..the biggest problem is it is probably just to easy to get to end game. You can burn through so much because it is so easy..that your left at 50 with nothing but repeatable quests. People have made a bunch of suggestions..just no one listens. Make World PvP viable, introduce more Warzones, make content that is rewarding instead of a hassle. why does 16 man content need to be the hardest. Give us a hard 4 man/8 man content to tackle. SWTOR problem is it relies on repetitive playing of content that only offers players the ability to do this same content quicker. Give us something to work towards..not content that we will do..just to do because its there. Only people enjoying this are those who are gearing up for gearing up sakes. This is nice..if it was useful. But it isn't enjoyable to have almost all your endgame content..repetitive daily quests.
  4. 1/2 are the same thing. Your idea of fun is the repetitive quests that you will do..every day..to which you can earn rewards to make that same content..just that much easier? Can really only enjoy those 10 lines of dialogue so many times..by that I mean no more then once.. 3) Again..more *repeatable* quests. It doesn't change. For credits? Nothing to buy at 50 that you dont guy with tokens. For fun..again..your idea of fun is the same exact thing over..and over..and over..and over..and over..sorry I think your the great minority there. 4) Look..more repeatable..repetitive boring content to do. You say group quests..but mention getting gear for Companion. PvP, FP, Raids, HM are all done without companions..unless your soloing the same content again..that is pointless. I havent used my companion since level 10..its completely unneeded and will be unused. 5)Craft.. crafting may be fun in other games..you go out..find our own materials..go here..craft what you want..you interact. You don't craft in this game..your companions do..the entire crafting system is based on letting your companions do this for you..there is nothing fun here..you just hit start..and watch the paint dry..also almost all crafted items are worthless at 50. 6) PvP..always fun..but can only stand so much of the same 3 warzones after a while. Little break is needed. World PvP is pointless and unused. But this option only really applies to PvPers..but yes..this one is ok. 7) Most people playing are on vent with their friends already..we are already doing this. Also BW made this game very non-social in many aspects. If I want to just talk..I can do this much easier with other chat programs and be much happier. 8) Look..more repetitive daily content. 9-12) do I really need to say it again?? So you thought of 12 things you say to do at 50? 9 out of those 12 is the same idea..lets do the repetitive content again and again..day after day..it is never going to change..but it will get slightly easier!. As we gear up..we can do this same exact stuff again..but quicker! 1 Involves no real interaction with you at all. 75% of what you suggested we do at 50 for fun, is repeating the same exact thing day in and day out..with no change what so ever. Another requires you to do nothing...sorry but I think your wrong good sir.
  5. That goes for either side, because anyone who has anything negative to say, constructive or not, is met with a like slur. So by that standard, even anyone spamming positivity in a like fashion is just as much guilty of being uninterested in building a better game.
  6. High quality..is that what you call the same canned responses every 3 conversations? or some random noises with your mouth? A bigger budget allows the ability to hire more/better programmers. It allows to hire for artists to work on the graphic design. Not every employee needs to go to every meeting. Im sure at your work your not invited to meetings that only your supervisor or manager goes too. More programmers can work on specific aspects of the game (AI, battle, social, story, ect) that would allow the game to come out polished. If companies can create a game on par as another..with less then 1/4 of the cost, then the latter seems to already be inefficient. VO are nice..but once is all you really get out of it. Yes, VO is an insane cost, and if a parts of the game were neglected because a majority of it went into VO's..well that is a mistake made by bioware..and it is a pretty big one.
  7. yes, but a blind fanboy isn't great for the game overall. They will accept anything with the highest standard and defend actions even if they are wrong. It promotes mediocrity and that isn't good. It is possible to be a fan and still think things can be better. Why would a company go out of it's way to create good/great content and progress when these fans will accept the lowest form of it with the highest gratitude. That isn't good.
  8. with blind avid fanboys on the other side arguing against it. It's a fair battle.
  9. yes..it is called a review..in fact some people even do this for a living! Any product has a place you can leave feedback. It is a normal thing to do. Good or bad, people will will tell others their opinion and experience. This is a normal thing. Stop attacking people for this.
  10. because MMO's are an evolving genre. Just because there is a lot we dont like, doens't mean we dont want to try to make it better. When we get a president we dont like..I dont leave the country.
  11. Well..this is what happens when a majority of games are the same..just wrapped in different box. Those that go outside the norm..dont get much publicity..or is created in the wrong market. Look at DCUO..we get action combat style..and honestly I think it could of done much better if it wasn't based on well.. DC. It appealed to a minority of people this way. I still find it's combat really fun. Will Tera do any better? I dont know..I was honestly interested until I heard of repeated reports of how easy the game was..was a real killer for them there :/. Dragon's next also had good combat..but it's style also appealed to very few..and not really marketed. WAKFU could of been great too..if it just improved it's systems a bit. Right now..you just level HP..and really all you need. But a SRPG MMO could of been pretty good. Now I haven't played many..but I would rank mine FFXI DCUO Rift SWTOR WAFKU Dragons Nest People will always complain..some are for unrealistic reasons (no software is going to be bug free..so stupid to think it should be)..but not attempting to fix simple issues. To this day I still can not customize equipment. It comes up as a big mess of words and unclickable slots where things should be. I am not the only one with this problem either. I have seen a few others. Yet..all I ever got from my numerous tickets was.."we need more info..please refer to patch notes for this fix" I did play WoW in Beta..hated it. D3 looks to be a disappointment now too. So no..Blizzard doesn't just create great games, but is is a benchmark for MMO's.
  12. one could easily imply from this then..that there isn't very much good content in the game..so we invented a system that will entice you to do the content all over again..multiple times..so you can finally create that race with this class..which you have to go through the content again to use. It's a gimmick..all it is unfortunately.
  13. And im happy for you. MMO's are vast and appeal to more then 1 type of player. So people will have different expectations on features and content.
  14. i wasn't trying to compare it to WoW. My point was people say this game needs this amount of time to become good. That just isn't true. It shouldn't take this amount of time and investment to get to a point where it can been deemed something people are "content" with. Honestly, im sure there are people who thought that..but you probably wont because VA isn't a major deal to most players in a MMO. Most people just dont care about teh story, they care about the interaction and the gameplay. Not saying story isn't important..but once you heard it once..and you know it..that VA loses most of its appeal and purpose. This was an exceptional huge project and to expect great things from it isn't unreasonable. To be given a underwhelming game, and in most aspects, are just copies of other games is disappointed. There is no innovation to the genre. They did what others have done..with exceptional less money and created something that is just as good (VA aside) Just..dont expect people to not be disappointed and not sub or be overly excited for features and content that is a gimmick..or that we have seen in the other 100+ mmo's that have been released. So to answer your question..No, I wouldn't expect this game to come out with the amount of content that another game that has had content for years. That is like saying Fallout NV was bad because it didn't have the content of FA3 had (the nexsus and community it had). But do I expect all other featuers, the content itself to be at least on par with games that are almost a generation old? Do I expect at least a decent new feature to keep me hooked? Of course I would. I played FFXI for 4 years..never hit level cap..never got bored. Combat was pretty turned based yes..but with Skill Chains and Magic bursts and variety of combat options made it fun. It was some stupid boring rotation that didn't rely just on yourself. It even showed that you can add new content..and it didn't even have to be endgame (CoP). It's not just about the amount of content it has..its whether it is fun and enjoyable..and when you dont offer anything new to what people have been doing for years..they will tire of it quickly.
  15. it isn't self entitlement to expect something in return that is equivalent to what you pay. Fact is, some people don't feel that way. People are just using this new flavor of the month expression because they can't think for themselves..so people just throw up every ignorant thing they hear to justify their fanboysim. It may have potential, but dont expect people to continuing to contribute to that development when it offers nothing in return for them. If it is going to take the "7" years to catch up, then people will not wait seven years. Not everyone..but to expect people to sub to something they are disappointed in, and then call them "self entitled" for it..is idiocy. It is normal people with a rational mind (well most of them at least) to not pay for something they feel isn't worth it. Legacy to me..is a simple joke. A very hyped up system..that was suppose to offer unique rewards and innovation. But it isn't..it simply allows you to do what a majority of other games..allow..without all the jumping through hoops to do. It's current form is a simple gimmick, a soloable ability to be used occasionally for the mere fact that you "can". It is no different then summoning useless pets in other MMO's. So I can unlock other classes..if I wanted to play that class..I would of..I just this class I because I wanted this class. Different races..ok..thats fine..but 90% of all the characters are almost covered head to foot..you can't even tell a majority of the time. Expecting people to think this is an exceptional system is definitely overestimating its worth. Some will like this..and use it no doubt..but throw anything into a game..and you will have this same outcome.
