Upgrade Video Card....Still Low FPS...Trolol?
warrenTU replied to AaronPenick's topic in General Discussion
Not true at all. I run a Core I7 920 at 3.6 GHZ with a GTX580 and the game runs at 60 FPS all the time. Thats only limited because of Vsinc. -
I don't know what cries fanboy to you in this post other then the word Bioware. Its simple common sense. I know that can tend to be not so common these days. I have a system that puts out its share of heat, but I was able to think to myself I might need some good airflow to support all this. Then I thought to myself, I might need to clean my filters and my hardware once in awhile, and presto, I have a cool system that works all the time. See how that works now?

Thats cool. I imagine you did. I was with Aco, 326 engineers. We were usually attached to 327 infantry when we were out in the field. It sure is a small world sometimes.

What are you computers specs? do you have an overclocked processor? Did you try to reinstall the game? What are your temps on the processor and your graphics card? Is your power supply to weak? Do you meet the min. req. for the game? could be any number of these things.

I have a Sager gaming laptop with a 560M card, and thats about the bare minimum to run this game on the high settings. I would just lower your settings and you will run it fine.

I really have no clue how you can already be bored with the game. Even if you don't have a job, don't sleep, have a g/f , b/f, wife, husband, and live in your parents basement with nothing better to do, I doubt you could have finished all of the class stories. With a job, a g/f who still likes me, and important real life responsibilities, I have allot of fun with this game. Again though, I have only had time to get one character to level 31. That's about a 2 hour a day average. If you are that bored, here is a solution, go get an actual life in real life, and tone down your time in game a bit.

You shouldn't need to uninstall any previous NVIDIA drivers. NVIDIA's install program will take care of that for you. You are also going to want to install the hardware first, and then worry about the driver installation. All in all that's a general rule of thumb to remember with a couple of exceptions here and there. Also download the latest beta drivers, they seem to work the best with SWTOR. Any more questions let me know.

If yours is using that much RAM on idle you have allot going on in the background, mine uses 1 GB at most. Might want to run a Malware scan. -
Well I'm sure your not older by much. I posted some pictures of myself a few pages back, I don't know if you checked them out or not.

I was actually surprised by the amount of people here around my age (32). You look like your maybe a bit younger then me so you shouldn't feel old at all. By the way I also love scuba. I have only been a couple times, and I'm not certified, but it is allot of fun.

I love how the current young generation has to have everything now now now. Most of you don't realize the complex logistics that have to go into something of this size and complexity. The nice thing about an MMO is that it can change over time. Just because mommy and daddy gave you everything right when you screamed for it doesn't mean Bioware or anyone else is going to. -
I have this problem also. Its not a heat issue, and it only appeared after the latest patch. I think its more of a driver issue. I'm pretty sure it will be covered in NVIDIA's next driver release. I don't find it game breaking, so I'm not too worried about it.
