  1. *** is this servers going down in 15mins b u l l s h i t with minimal notice - you guys suck BW!
  2. And why are you not doing it at your normal time (2a CDT) to inconvenience all the west coast, hawaii and australian players in prime time? See you can do it at 4am CDT instead of 2am CDT ... then why not push it back to 10am CDT so all the west coast and asia side players can enjoy their playtime w/o being impacted? BW, you guys must be the biggest laughing stock in the industry w/ constant fail patches and more downtime to fix the fail patches ... iRRC, this has been going on for a year now w/ no change in sight.
  3. Nope, i farm that area a lot and certain champ mobs on the upper levels (elevator) always *read* always give blues and never gave me greens ever ... and today only greens ... its just more BS that BW does when they sneak in code changes to the game that are completely not needed. It would be funny if they messed w/ your character, then you'd all be up raising hell in here ... its easy to take that smug attitude when you aren't affected. Every patch comes w/ something new broken for over nearly a year now ... idk about you guys, but im pissed off because they dont care. Mundane things that should be left alone are messed with and more things end up broken than fixed. I just wanted to mention that we, the players are aware of even the little things that they try to sneak by us w/o mentioning.
  4. I may have missed this in the patch notes, but BW why did you change the loot drop of the champion mobs? I normally run through Castle Panteer on Alderaan on the upper levels and there are champion mobs that always drop blue stuff w/ the occasional orange and purple drops if you're lucky. To my dismay, i get there tonite and find GREEN drops for the champion mobs - why all the lame changes and problems? Do you really want to lose all your remaining subs? Was there a problem w/ the drops? I dont ever recall anyone ever complaining? Gawd you guys are lame.
  5. Those chests still drop the old recruit gear, not the new one as i just got an old shield generator 5 mins ago. I was pretty disappointed to see this oversight by the devs, or maybe it was on purpose so we burn off more of our credits. I noticed that the new gear has all different stats (ex. power switched w/ crit) so you could possibly mix and match old and new recruit gear to get stuff u want via pvp vendor and outlaw's den chests.
  6. New recruit gear w/ boosted stats is being sold at the fleet, but the same old original recruit gear is popping in chests at Outlaw's Den ... just picked up a shield generator that matches my original one ... i wonder if this is an oversight by the devs or on purpose? just fyi for anyone hoping to get the new gear via chests instead of spending the credits ~
  7. Damn, I did a wz before my roadrunner went down and felt like I got melted alot faster than normally by some juggy maras. Owch, welcome to.1.4 I guess. Good thing I have a rage juggy myself, hope to melt faces until bw nerfs everything. For the record, have the ever really had a successful patch that balanced pvp?
  8. Dont suggest customer service for technical help as we all know what a joke that is
  9. I can't believe 1.4 is being released w/o things all being worked out - was it really ready? Does BW really care about their customer feedback? I dont think its ready at all ... and im guessing its guaranteed to be super buggy as usual. *sigh* more downtime and more lost subs.
  10. I run a hybrid 24/0/17 spec for WZ utility and survivability and like the tools I have like pull, instant lift, AOE force in balance and the high survivabiliity ... this hybrid looks interesting as it seems like its focus is force management and movement speed and its ability to strike non-stop and proc big rock hits and backstabs. It looks interesting for more dps while in a sturdy tanky stance ... probably wont do too big burst, but can sustain constant dps to put pressure on healers somewhat.
  11. Yup in huttball, if you win fast, then you're gonna have low numbers and medals. All you have to do is control the middle, grab ball, sorc pull, leap and intercede and score ... cc and slow the enemies and repeat 5 more times. It only takes a few good players to make it happen too. If the game drags out for the whole time limit and turns into a deathmatch where everyone is more interested in dueling and showing off and no one knows how to team score, then you're gonna get big numbers and lots of medals.
  12. It sucks now, but once things settle down, at least you'll have a pretty busy server w/ lots of WZ pops and groups to do missions w/. I'm glad i got off Ajunta Pall (USA) to The Bastion ... it was like night and day.
  13. At least they were being honest when they said they were uncertain when the servers were coming up. That way you could go off and do something else w/o being mad. I actually for once, am not mad and just watched pvp vids and did some work at home in the meantime. Im concerned about the renaming threads and the long queue time threads that are popping up. After a patch/update, i tend not to log in right away and sit back to observe what issues pop up.
  14. While i know what you're saying, I do have to mention that big dps players also have a l2p issue to. I saw a recent juggy video where the guy is in WH gear and did 500k damage and ONLY GOT 10 KILLS! (2nd lowest) A healer on his team had the 2nd lowest dps numbers and got 2nd highest in kills all while being almost highest in healing. Point being is that number output is a useless measuring stick IF the team is not accomplishing objectives and isn't winning games. I will agree that really low output of numbers and lack of objectives and lots of game losses while in top level gear is total fail and a pure L2P issue. I just dinged 50 on my shadow last night and in my recruit gear i thought id be useless ... surprisingly i wasnt. Of course im not gonna win any 1v1 fights, but i helped by guarding the ball carrier, taunting, stunning people coming after him, pulling others away from him and using my interrupts and slows when appropriate. A few well timed knockbacks also helped us score more easily. A team of skilled team players in all recruit gear would beat a random WH geared pug group 9 out of 10 times im sure!
  15. Its their way of keeping us subbed longer while we grind out for min/max only to have to start all over again when they release the next higher tier of gear ... "carrot stick" trick ... it does get a bit insulting after a while, but then again what would we do w/o a grind?
  16. I did it on a recent Novare ... had a sorc running around the side/back of his house / node and i got him w/ the mind maze and was guessing he would panic bc he saw my friend slip in and start to cap. sure enough he used his cc breaker and i reapplied the mez and that was the end of it ... we then killed him and defended the node for quite some time. im sure he got yelled at by his team mates! hehe
  17. Oh I didnt know that - thanks for the heads up! Hopefully it will drop so i won't use as many comms. TY!
  18. Aloha guys n girls, I'm at 3085 ranked warzone comms and had my eye on that nice war hero vindicator saber but wanted to get some feedback and opinions before i made any moves as i know 1.4 is in the future and others have probably been in my shoes before. Here's my build: http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/character/ecce3be2-251b-46bf-a57f-efa4f9eb796a I run dps but use soresu in wz for the added survivability and ability to guard etc. Just wondering if the saber would be a good idea, or do you have another idea? ty
  19. How sneaky were you as infiltration spec? My friend that played your old spec told me that he was pretty squishy so he never picked a fair fight and looked for lighter armored targets and people down on HP from the start. He would use stealth as a weapon for surprise and burst to finish them off quickly and then retreat into the shadows ... his old rotation was irrc: Clairvoyant Strike x2 for the proc Low Slash? for stun Burst w/ Project + Force Breach Execute or restart rotation above.
  20. +1 Evolution from pug'ging ... i myself have gotten into a guild recently after pugging solo for a long time and am looking to improve constantly while helping others get better skills and gear ... I like how you think! Very good advice!
  21. Team play and getting the objectives are what really count ... medals will come naturally as you learn each WZ and play your role ... i too also started pvp at 50 and had a steep learning curve ... almost at 50 w/ my shadow and usually am high on the medal count because of the utility of the class (kinetic) but I play to win / objectives and think w/ the team mindset and the rest comes naturally
  22. Had a blast last night on The Bastion ... pug game ... all i said at the beginning was for one of our shadows to camp their goal line and anyone who got the ball to beeline for the pit ... even for a pug, we did well and w/ that little bit of instruction, we won 3-0 w/ 2 points coming from the stealther at the goal line strategy. Its difficult, but we can't give up on trying to make our team mates into better players ... its better than quitting imo. Its always a thrill to score or to make the winning pass ... the day it gets boring is the day i guess im gonna move on. so far, still fun!
  23. It comes down to the players taking things into their own hands at this point. On The Bastion, I have to say that open world pvp is SO alive on Tatooine ... huge pub zergfest last night at a couple imp bases, Outlaw's Den has lots of people thru the day and night, I always run into my nemesis, Omo in the Den (and lose) ... imps sneaking into Anchorhead and pubs getting back at us in our bases ... So much fun and I know better than to wait for BW to make things happen for us!
  24. Its a fun alternative to the lightsaber ... i have one for my juggy - a big final fantasy 7 looking sword
  25. OP, yes its super funny when you cap a node as i also play a shadow and although I've never done right under the defender's nose, I've done it w/ the help of my fellow pugs pulling people away from the node so i could slip in unseen. Its definitely a warning sign when your enemy keeps backpedaling and is willing to take a little damage bc they're purposefully trying to pull you away for their stealther to get in and cap. I was in a recent CW and we had a side node and i was guarding it w/ someone ... he was standing on the node which made me laugh, but i wasn't worried bc I was off to the side and stealthed w/ guard on him. Sure enough, a stealther got behind him and started capping and he was afk or something bc he didnt do anything for easily 10 seconds - luckily we had 2 of us and I always am keeping an eye on the node. Im wondering if perhaps some people who get ninja capped dont have their screens zoomed out far enough to see everything? Aside from being bad guards, its a possibility that they just dont see things AND are too lazy to swivel their camera around every few seconds?
