So by this logic wow will always be more advanced, more developed and thus we can say likely to always be ahead. Because you can't expect swtor to be on par due to the lack of headstart.

In a world where computer hardware companies release competing products year in year out, driven by games that push the boundaries of what is possible. Backed by there years of development. What if a new company entered the video card market, oh oh lets compare it to the old 3dfx from 1996.

 

You think if Blizzard released a mmo with voice acting in 7 years time they will release it with the quality of todays swtor? or will they be marketing it as a competitor to what swtor develops into. Or heck, why not release there voice acting focused mmo with the quality of warcraft 1 or older games.

Yes, they are currently behind in content and features because they are 7 years behind what WoW currently have on the market. Does that make them better or worse? Possibly a case on either side.

 

I for one enjoy playing along in a game that I haven't experienced before, I get to follow patch updates, content updates, balancing updates etc.

 

Same can be said for WoW. The only difference is that it allows people to see a product from its infancy to potentially develop in to something down the road. I no longer get that from WoW.

I bought a product that was marketed to us. Products compete against other products that are currently available. The MMO market is no different (except to the fanboys)

Besides how long was swtor in development before release? How long was wow in development before release? How long was duke nukem forever in development before release? After all that should all be classes as development right? It is not relevant because all that matters is the product.

That's a pretty poor observation. Take sports as a example, baseball for one step further. You have dynasties that have been around a long time. The expectation is they make the post season every year, do you have the same expectations for the expansion team?

 

No, they need to build, scout, draft, etc and build up their team (product).

 

Since an MMO at launch isn't a final product (always being developed) how can you expect a final product that all the sudden time warped an extra 7 years.

This is a called a churn. Every company has it and to meet their numbers they probably have an allowable percentage, which goes towards, personal choices and non saveable subs. Some people will just hate and cancel because they can.

WoW doesn't make you do anything. It doesn't even make you level. It's all choice. But it still gave you choices.

 

What choices do we have at 50 in SWTOR? FP's, Op's, WZ's... that's it.

 

Considering you haven't completed any of the end game content. IE: NM Ops. Then I don't see how you can be bored with it...

 

But then again, if you can't find a good group to run with, I could see that being boring.

 

I doubt you have all the achievements that are currently in game. You didn't get all your datacrons, you don't go for end game pvp. Seems like its a personal user problem, then a game problem.

 

Guess you got lucky with your HM FPs. Going on FE run number 30ish without getting my chest piece.

 

I think the real problem is you forgot to make friends along the way. Why is it that you rely on devs to make your gaming experience enjoyable. Really that part lies in your court, and take what they have and either make it enjoyable, or get bored and don't play. MMOs aren't going to change anytime soon.

Your typical rotation for PvE should include all of your skills.

 

Healing Scan > Rapid Scan > Emergency scan > Kolto Missile.

 

Repeat. Once you have your 4 pc you can smoothly rotate emergency scan out when its on CD.

 

Always remember to use your CDs in tight heat situations, thermals sensor overload and that other one.

 

That rotation should be able to out heal anything in the game and not overheat yourself.

I think the real problem is that as a society we no longer understand the reasoning behind the words need, greed and wants.

 

In sales the best deception is to convince people that their wants are actually their needs. Most people who just roll need on everything should get themselves a reality check. Being a jerk just because you can doesn't justify your attitude.

 

I think the peoples attitudes are very reflective of how people act in the real world. Probably the same people who let the door close behind them or doesn't hold the elevator door.
