  1. There are several breakdowns on the Jugg forums about how Vengenace is a sub-par spec for PvP. PvP is about one of two things, either you are a burster or a controller. Venge is neither burst nor control. Now, that doesn't mean you can't do well with it, but it is a sub-par spec when compared to a spec that can burst for 5 to 7 k AoE, and a spec with an extra stun, super rage gen and good defense. Though the trick to Immortal is to wear Damage PvP gear while playing Immortal.
  2. PvE content will always expire. But well designed PvP content never does. People have been playing Dust on CS for a decade or more. I'm never going to touch GW2's PvE content, so I don't care how fast it gets eaten. I don't do PvE.
  3. I'm valour rank 35 and 50, and I run 10 medals a game with, at most 3 to 4 deaths. And we told you why he hit hard, he's a Rage Juggernaut. He has a 3 skill combo that leads to the 3rd skill auto-critting and doing 200% damage, on top of the crit. This leads to Smashes around 5 to 6k If you disrupt any part of the combo, he can't hit you that hard. So, disrupt the combo.
  4. Not if you're allergic to weeaboos. I break out in hives whenever a weeaboo gets within 20 feet, be it in real life or digitally.
  5. I don't think anyone has mocked you here for your lack of knowledge on Star Wars lore. We've been pointing out that you don't seem to understand how PvP works very well for someone who's allegedly valor rank 80. I've valor rank 35 and I know the basic combos and mechanics of every class and spec in the game.
  6. People excitement for GW2 is based on the fact it's a game that takes PvP as seriously as PvE. Something the MMO world hasn't seen in a long time. As a pure-PvP player, I'm excited at the idea of a game that hands me a fully leveled character when I want to do Conquest (their Warzones).
  7. Not to mention, why would a Rage Juggernaut, who gets GUARANTEED CRITS on his Smash, stack Crit? He'd want to stack Surge, and after the Surge nerf he'd probably want Power. If he's stacking crit he's not that bright as a Rage Jugg.
  8. 0/0 matches are awesome. That means both teams are playing their *** off and it's going to come down to ball possession. I LOVE 0/0 matches.
  9. It's not trolling. Everyone and their mother generally agrees that Juggernauts aren't OP. We're also not UP. We're probably the most balanced class in the game. We have a good chance against any class and any class has a good chance against us. Yes, if a Rage spec Jugg gets his full combo off on you, you're going to hurt. That's the point of Rage spec, it's a 3 point combo (Charge/Obliterate > Force Crush/Force Choke > Smash) and they hit like a brick. Here's the trick though, the buffs that allow them to hit like a brick don't last overly long AND Smash is a NON TARGETTED ability, meaning if you juke him he may miss you with it and now he's gotta wait almost 20 seconds to be able to pull of his combo again. Much like a Sniper, who are universally agreed to be probably the worst class in the game, if you stand there and let them line up their combo, they'll kill you. My Sniper can 3 to 4 shot people, but only if they're too stupid to counter it with simple Line of Sight. Juggernauts are not broken, you're just allowing an easy to counter combo to land on you. Disrupt the combo, defeat the Jugg.
  10. I'm a Jugg and I agree with him. I also have a Sniper, arguably the worst Huttball class, and I still love HB on him.

    Told to leave

People tell me to do stuff all the time. I generally tell them to go (fornicate) themselves. In real life and video games.
  12. I guess you have a point. When I do spec Rage, I don't look at it as a DoT, I look at it as "must hit this to make Smash hit hard".
  13. Even without doing the premade trick, before Xrealm BGs people on your server would actually listen to a leader. I won several AVs while sitting in our base with the map open just commanding people. Sure, my stats were terrible, but I found it really enjoyable playing WoW as a semi-RTS.
  14. I have no problem with 4 v 4 Warzones, but not single elimination death match. Death match is too noob friendly, it requires a lot less strategy than forcing 8 people to battle over an objective.
  15. Um, AV did change. Old AV had NPCs, and lots of them, all over the place. Elite NPCs. Old AV could take 4+ hours to win because of the NPCs. Once they removed all the NPCs other than the important ones, AV died. The first AV match on Shadow Council ever lasted over 8 hours.
  16. A Juggernaut who can put DoTs on you is not the same spec who can crit chunks of your health. Two different specs. The DoT spec is a terrible PvP spec.
  17. I disagree, the content got worse. The classes became more unbalanced, they put in stupid noob friendly systems like diminishing returns (in WoW) or things like punishment systems in AoC. High tier PvP in WAR had bad instances, bad RvR lakes and bad class balance (the entire game became protect or kill the bright wizard) WoW added what after Vanilla? Arenas (gag), a handful of stupid new BGs (WSG is still the best BG in WoW and the only one worth playing), they ruined Alterac Valley. It's mostly because the original designers of WoW and WAR jumped ship from their respective companies after release. Do you know where the majority of original WoW and WAR designers now work? A company called ArenaNet.
  18. See, Alderaan is the one I think is designed like balls. The instant reinforcement speeders and the "click to capture" mechanic are terrible. And most MMOs I've played got worse with age. WoW's PvP was awesome in Vanilla and started sucking more with every expansion. WAR's PvP was best in T1, second best in T2 and then became horrible in T3 and T4. AoC's PvP got better, slightly, but was still terrible. DAoC's best PvP was in there from almsot the start, the stuff they added later wasn't nearly as good as the original stuff. I honestly can't think of an MMO where PvP got better with time.
  19. Roots and snares are soft CC, and not that annoying. I specifically said hard CC. Hard CC is complete loss of character control, such as Stuns, Mezzes, Fears and, arguably, knockbacks/pulls/knockdowns (there's a debate with these ones.) The resolve bar is caused and related only to hard CC. Roots only last 2 to 5 seconds in this game. 2 guaranteed, 5 if you take no damage. You still can hit anyone near by and used any ranged attacks you have, making roots annoying but not that big of a deal.
  20. Two common definitions when dealing with forums. One using the fishing definition of trolling. Much like a fisherman trolls for fish, you're trolling for a fight. The other definition is related to the actual fantasy creature, which is considered ugly, petty and cruel. Not all trolls are both. I consider myself a "trolling for an argument" troll, but I'm not a petty and cruel troll who just tries to insult people to cause harm. Unless, of course, they deserve the insults and harm, then I can get pretty nasty.
  21. The game makers still have to give us the variety and systems to make PvP enjoyable. Right now we have 3 Warzones, one of which is terribly designed and an open world PvP zone that is, bar none, the worst open world PvP zone I've ever experienced. This is another PvE game with PvP tacked on, and I hoped it wouldn't be, I really did. For someone like me who is literally incapable of enjoying PvE, this game doesn't have much for me at this point.
  22. I like the "feel" of PvP in this game, but this is quickly turning into another game where PvP is the bastard step child. I'm waiting for some MMO to finally put PvP as it's first priority, as I can't even PvE for 15 minutes before I'm bored.
  23. That's not true, once the bar turns white you are immune until the bar is completely empty. This game has the most noob friendly CC system I've ever seen.
  24. At least in the Wintergrasp era, Alliance SOMETIMES pulled it off. Vanilla Alliance on ShC were the most pitiful thing you've ever seen in PvP. Here's a good example. This was a video that an Alliance guild was shooting of their guild leader doing his hunter quest. The Hordie you see walk up is LEVEL 50. He ran all the way to Silithus as level 50 JUST to gank the hunter (our guilds had a long running world PvP feud), and as you can see, he succeeds. The guy is 60, he's surrounded by other 60s, and this 50 mage comes in and takes him out.
