Sorry but you'll probably find that Marauders are a lot weaker than Powertechs. Did you want a cookie for making this thread or something, I do agree the Pvp armour does look awful but i wouldnt quit my character because of it.

Hi so i've been running the 4-6-31 build and i reached level 50 a couple of days ago and really can't decide whether to stay as a DPS or change to a Tank. I need to make this decision because i need to spend my commendations wisely on my PvP gear. I love my Powertech for PvP with this spec but when it comes to pve like hm Flashpoints it seems Tanks are needed alot more and people will take other dps classes over you just because your a 'tank' class. So im thinking of Getting the PVE Rakata Supercommando gear and the PVP Combat tech gear and changing my spec whether im pvping or pveing but the problem is that might cost quite a lot...

If this is a reason people say they will stop playing then i may aswell start a thread saying 'Fix the Symbols that represent a quest giver that shape makes my eyes hurt'

I did this quest at level 49 so 1 level below reccomended with mako and didnt die once. So yes it is definately do able. Came out with only a couple of scratches.

Hi i'm not a new player but im just wondering how you get hold of the commendations for this gear, I think you get the dissassembled pieces from bosses in flashpoints but what about the commendations? Thanks

LOL Sorry but do you have a Geared level 50 powertech pyrotech specced and a level 50 mercenary arsenal specced? No you don't and if you do your doing something wrong with your pt. I top the damage charts all the time with merc's in the game pre level 50. Love the irony also, that most people say merc is better for pve and isnt made for pvp. 'You will learn very quickly that powertech is extremely limited in pvp compared to Merc.' Only _ _ _ _ Comes out of your mouth. So im guessing you learnt that yourself by levelling a pt to 50? Powertechs are one of the best all round classes out there and are brilliant at every warzone? I finish 1st or second basically every game with 7-10 medals pre 50. Let me guess your one of those people that blindly defends your class because deep down you don't want the truth to get to you? Also merc isnt limited? Bending over and firing a missile half the time is pretty limited to me, No interrupt? Also merc's are only good at the fringes of battle picking people out and if they get too close they are screwed. Yes i have a Merc and a PT and both are good classes but people who post things like you annoy me.

Like the irony of 'Merc is more evenly spread out between guns/railgun/missiles' Hmmm. I would say PT has a much more fun play style and a much larger variety of moves from grappling someone to jumping on someone to punching someone in the face to turning them into rock to electrocuting them to burning them to using a missile in their face oh i could go on. Merc: Mainly Missiles oh wait pretty much only missiles, no i won't say anything about tracer missile spamming because people will get mad

Normal Blue Razer Naga (Total of 17 buttons i think) It is great and really you can't go wrong with any of the ones you've listed the others are just cooler looking cosmetically and might have a couple of bonuses but i wouldnt spend a ridiculous amount. My naga cost like £45 or something. I wouldn't play this game without one it just makes using my abilities way easier to use although it might take a couple of days to get used to using your abilities like that which is why it comes with training stickers

Hi so some of you probably dont know what im talking about but some of you might. I've seen this helmet around and i think its a rakata/columi/? Helmet, It's a normal full face helmet a bit like a knight's and it has a kind of spike running along the top. Anyone know what im talking about? If so is there a reason people choose the bug and visor helmet over it?

It certainly is When people are jumping on me i use it and then they all just turn into a nice bit of rock.

You should really get the Elite powertech or mercenary upgrade gear from the bonus and heroic missions on taris, trust me it would look alot better than lv 20 pvp armour

Depends if you want to get your hands dirty or stay on the fringes of battle, Do you want an option to tank or an option to heal? You probably wont like the missiles you get for the merc they get alot of hate, well mainly tracer missile. Powertechs play style is more fun and neither is really better than the other. But i can say I love my level 48 Powertech, Always come in 1st or second place in warzones and do great damage and protection as a Pyrotech spec.

Your main abilities as a pyrotech PT are Rocket Punch and Flame Burst for the Rail Shot proc. I tend to start my fight from distance e.g. Electro Dart, Explosive dart, TD, IM or W/E and then i would grapple or approach my target and get my hands dirty with rocket punch and flame burst and rail shot whenever it procced. Unfortunately you wont be effective using it at 10m+ And it really is mainly a melee class with some ranged abilities to start the fight off.

So you can spell Tracer MISSILE but when it comes to nuclear missile you spell it nucleer MESSELE?? Are you the OP's twin brother this is like a trollathon. Although i have to admit its pretty funny 'Launches a missile at the target that deals 4591 kinetic damage' ROFL

I agree i think it looks awful and pre level 50pvp gear looks alot better, But i like the look of some of the rakata/columni stuff
