  1. understandable, BW can choose the right looking at their game statistics, that's not the problem. My concern is to avoid zombies.
  2. if i didn't play for 6 months i'm perfectly ok with an other one having it. 6 months is, IMHO, a reasonable timeframe to suppose that I didn't care alot of that character. The alternative is that people starts activating all possible names with no cost when f2p comes, activating 4 characters simply because it is allowed then leaving the game. It is possible to look for differnt situations like: subscribed players do not lose any character anyway because it is supposed that they aren't zombies, f2p players will have to reach coruscant/dromund kass (or an other planet/certain level) in X months to lock the name.
  3. ok, let's say that this is true (really it isn't because you accept a contract before start playing but let's says so). This doesn't change nothing, call them implicit and expliti agreement, what changes?
  4. I agrre, but if BW send one mail each month without seeing any activity for 6 months on that character can you agree with me that can that character is a zombie? I'm obviously talking about character in range lvl 1-10. character lvl 20, 30 or 50 should be never cancelled.
  5. ATM nothing, but rules can change if there is need. And going F2P with merged servers can have huge impact if an high percentage of names is simply "parked".
  6. Atm you can't, because no rule requires that created character are used... so no character can be deleted because of unuse.
  7. They can use swtor world events, 100 hundred years since one or other important event. But a christmas or halloween event will simply ruin the atmosphere, maybe they a re good in a medieval rpg, not in swtor. IMHO.
  8. It is possible but when they can, with a reasonable forewarning, tell something like "All the characters that do not reach level 10 in 2 months are going to be cancelled". You have a right to level up your character, other people have a right to not see a name reserved indefiniely by a zombie character... Otherwise with F2P will start to see impossible names because of lack of possibilities.
  9. Many people asked for this possibility, look here foe example: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=439102 I hope BW will put this in the game!
  10. Probably he was saying that for F"P players HK will not be available until they unlock it on cartel shop and also after unlocking they will have to do the quests on imp and rep side etc.
  11. It 's possibile that it will happen as you say but at this moment they are simply supposition. Their words are different and it is better to trust them IMHO, also considering that some delay is always possible...
  12. The diffence is that in swtor pvp has a greater importance and ping times are far more important in pvp than in pve. The game you talk about is pve focused.
  13. The main reason is that connecting to an USA server from europe and vice versa increase the possibility to experience high ping response times. BTW you can already login to an american server...
  14. They said (and confirmed in the live the other day) that patch 1.4 is coming very soon, the new planet and the level cap increase are, instead, in the works for november. They can't be splitted (in 2-3 releases) up for 2 reasons: - Level cap increase must be delivered at the same time of the new planet because the new planet is designed to be completed levelling from 50 to the new level cap. - Delivering major patches every 2 weeks is a waste of resources because major patches require extensive testing and affects the whole game, not only parts of it (as minor patches) Maybe the new race can be released in a minor patch, surely not the planet, and 6 weeks between major patches is a very good timeframe. THis seems to be the timeframe: patch 1.4: very soon (maybe this week) F2P: next month or early november Makeb a new cap: november i Think that there is enough of it... Also Makeb will not be a simple patch but an expansion, they only simply didn't tell us if it will be free for subscribers (or purchasable with the CC already earned) or we'll be requested to pay
  15. This is pretty obvious, but here we are taliking abount levelling alts, and this requires time. I'm simply telling that when you reach your first 50 you have probably enpough crafting materials to sell them in GTN and earn enough credits to buy the perks you need for your next alt... if you don't pvp you have also more thean 300k from the recruit gear token... They said yesterday in the streaming that there'll be the possibility to use Cartel Coins to buy xp boosts. I hope that you can buy the xp perks for that price. We'll know in 2 months... I have nothing against ppleach one of us has a RL, has his interests outside the game (luckly), and would like to play the game as he chooses, the important thing IMHO is that BW have to mantain money sinks in the game and increase their number, because there is too much money in the game (as you can see in some high end items GTN prices) and changing economy system will cause only alot of complains, money sink are the only alternative solution atm.
  16. So you just closed chapter 1 on your first char, right? i give you a simple information: in the last our i gained 3 millions credits simply putting old materials on gtn. This materials come from harvesting nodes while levelling my 8 alts and they were simply stored in my vault. So, in 1 hour i gained enough to add all xp boosts on 5 characters... really making credits in swtor is not a big deal...
  17. In the post you quoted I was simply giving one information. And i Suggest to NOT do dailys as i already posted: YOu don't need to grind them, many ppl prefers to grind and they can, i hate grinding credits and i earn them as i prefer (via crew skills+GTN).
  18. Probably he remembered the previous amount, before black hole it was 250k, now it is 375k as you say. if you do also the daily HM and the daily WZ you can reach around 500k.
  19. Suggest it using the suggestion forum. It is not a bad idea!
  20. I understand that, but as i wrote, it creates an huge number of problems in a game designed like this because not only abilities but also skills are level based. Other games works differently, but here i don't think that it will be developed.
  21. Noone on BW side will never say that one thing is a money sink for obvious reasons. But is is very very clear that they are. Majority of legacy perks are sinks. Look at the price of "legacy rocket boost" i already have it so i can't check the right price but it is something over 3 millions. It is clearly a money sink. On the other hand many perks are useful, so when they say that legacy character perks help levelling alts or crafting or gaining affection, this is simply true. Rocket boost is 3 million worth? Probably not, but i liked it, i wanted it, i bought it. XP perks are 300k worth? i'd say "yes", you can chhose which ones actyivate but, for example, if you like pvping while levelling, 25% boost is huge boost (now with 12 wzs you can gain a level instead of 15, it iisn't a little boost). I don't like the space boost because you receive a good amount xp only the first time you do a space mission, but the pvp is an "every time" perk.
  22. Absolutely not right: i did only one time the dailies to see them, i didn't like the system and i didn't do them again, you can earn money in so many ways in this game (at end game this is overall clear) that you have only to choose: my favourite is crafting + GTN but you can invest money in a ship droid and be payed from people that want to buy the droid crafting item without buying the ship droid, or you can do space missions, or FPs and OP.
  23. I don't like dailies too, and they are not the best way to gain money, the best way is crafting and selling (and this is far more easy now after server merges). Or simply ignore the perks and buy them when you ahve the credits, you have no need of them, i have all of them because i had money but i regret my choice because i overlevelled my quests so often than i had to skip directly part of belsavis, all voss and all corellia quests simply because they were grey... You are right but that is not the only reason because they are here also to be money sinks, this is not pleasant to hear, but money sinks are needed, and they must be optional and useful items at the same time to do their work...
  24. I'm far from the richest on my server, i have 25 millions credits and now that i started selling materials also i gained 8 millions in one week, made crafting, doing crew skill missions, selling on gtn. 1,000,000 creds to have a repair droid on my ship? You're smoking something. People buy them so the price doesn't go down... this is the reason for which thre are money sinks, and they have to cost alot, if there is too much money in-game the prices remain high. Have you tried crafting? You have 4 50 so it would be a fast way to make credits.... You complain about 2 things that are opposite in their target: you want to reduce the price of items of legacy perks but doing so there'd be alot of money in the game so the gtn prices (like armorings) will never go down. The price doesn't go down until who wants it can't afford it, and so money sinks are needed...
  25. I agree about datacron sharing, but the perks prices seem right to me and this because one of their function is to be money sink to avoid credits inflation. Many ppl have more than 20 millions credits. if every optional item the game offers has a low price BW would kill the economy. And the legacy perks, all the legacy stuffs are very optional, noone needs them, but if one likes them has to put an effort in gaining them. 250k credits are 2 hours of dailies (or 4 augments sold on my server), not a so big effort, maybe the opposite, too little...
