  1. Agreed! I haven't subbed in years, but I'm back now and for the foreseeable future. I love almost everything about 4.0 and KotFE. At last the grindy, dull, out dated MMO staples are finally getting out of my way so I can enjoy this wonderful game and story! I've always thought, if they just let me play the game then I'd stick around, instead of trying to artificially drag things out or put them behind grindy barriers. Keep up the great work, BW! I'm looking forward to the future!
  2. does this mean, hope beyond hope, that our lightsaber type/style will no longer be bound to our class or AC? it would be great if we could pick our style from the Utility points.
  3. GW2 RIFT TSW EVE CoH (soon to be replaced by SWTOR, since it is being closed)
  4. honestly, i just don't have the drive to do all that anymore. =/ unfortunately the game just isn't worth it. GW2 looks, plays, and performs better. i'm just going to go over there. it's been fun, guys. May the Force be with you.
  5. this *kind of* helped a little, but it's still not a solution. doesn't hurt to try though. http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=5211607&postcount=30 *edit* just did some tweaking. game runs better on my wife's AMD Laptop (5800m) than on my Nvidia Desktop (GTX 570). this is silly. =)
  6. turning off name-plates did help me with the juttery camera.
  7. same here. camera stutter and junky FPS. GTX 570, i5-2500k, 120hz monitor. i'm starting to think it's time to move on. my other games don't have the problems i put up with from TOR. (TSW, GW2.) unfortunate...
  8. you're not alone. game is now unplayable for me, even with everything turned to lowest settings. this is a bit silly. =/ on a GTX 570 & i5-2500k, 306.23 drivers.
  9. unfortunately the game has taken a major hit in performance for me. everything is jittery and movement has no smoothness to it. even reducing everything to lowest setting does not rectify problem. as is, game is unplayable. i'm currently on a GTX 570 & i5-2500k, using 306.23 drivers.
  10. it's on adaptive. i've tested it on, off and adaptive. the problem was with the game. seems to be better now after messing around with all my settings a bunch. maybe some settings were messed with after the server merger. i remember my UI was also reverted to default and i had to correct it. not sure, it's my best guess. after messing with everything a ton and resetting my settings i'm back up to 70-80 avg. thanks for replying!
  11. *edit* problem seems to have gone away. information below is left for archival sake. so, no one? the game is definitely seeing some frame limiting, as when i drop the game to very low settings it still won't go over 60 fps. can i get a dev response please? there was no word about this change and it's negatively affecting my play experience. *edit* update. when i set the ingame refresh rate to 100, now my frames hover around 80-100 like they should. but when i put the refresh rate back to 120, it cuts back down to 60. is this bugged? also, if i set the shader complexity to anything above Very Low, my fps drops down to the 50s and hovers there. *edit 2* ok, so in order to approach my old frame rate, i need to make the following adjustments: Refresh Rate: 100 Shader Complexity: Very Low Texture Aniostropy: Low Shadow Quality: Off Bloom: Off Conversation DoF: Off i used to run with everything maxed and at refresh 120hz. so something had changed behind the scenes on these systems.
  12. agreed. that's by and large what i've been doing, but even that is starting to tire me out on the game. i just figured i'd let BW know.
  13. i don't think it is, because as i said in my first post, i enjoy making alts. i enjoy the class storyline. planet quests are getting dull. Legacy reward system as it stands is inadequate at allowing me to achieve goal of progressing through game faster (avoiding tedium) by requiring me to engage in tedious activities. thanks for chiming in, but i think this already clear enough in the thread.
  14. no. what i'm saying is, the game system as it stands right now is (for many) dull and uninspired. it's not about not working for it, it's about what one must do at this time that constitutes "working for it" is tedious. BW can either work at developing an interesting system that feels epic and heroic and stands apart from the MMO crowd, or they can keep doing what they've been doing all along.
