  1. Logic fail. Those other gathering skills bring in mats that are sold for more than the cost of the mission. Lockbox missions bring in a lockbox that is worth less than the cost of the mission. That's while those other gathering missions are not worthless.
  2. Things are looking really bad. Slicing is no longer profitable if you're going after the "higher yield" missions. I just started recording mission data and I'm seeing a -13,396 loss after running 43 missions. I got 1 crafting mission from a crit that's near worthless on my server. Before 1.2 I would just sell it to the junk vendor for 600 creds. All companions are at 10,000 affection too. All that does is make me lose money faster due to the shorter mission times. I just started a spreadsheet to keep track of things over the next few days, but even without it I can see that the net for yesterday and what I've done so far today are losses. I couldn't care less about those "gathering skill" arguments because if that's what's intended for this skill to be profitable, then there is no reason to have lockbox missions as an option at all.
  3. If someone already has BM, is there any reason to carry Merc/WZ comms into 1.2? Can any of it be used to buy the new tier 4 pvp armor or can that only be bought with ranked comms?
  4. If I already have full BM is there any reason to try to cap up on merc/wz comms or is the new stuff purchased with ranked comms only?
  5. Doing this the questing way wasn't working because I prefer to use Talos, so I ended up raiding the GTN for purple gifts that got increasingly diminished returns. The vendors caught on and started quickly raising prices my last couple of days. I'm pretty sure that getting her to 10,000 cost me somewhere between 1-2 million credits... since the gifts were 7k-14k a pop. As other people mentioned, you can slowly grind this up with pve dailies, but I don't have enough time to do both pve and pvp dailies - I spend my time on the pvp ones.
  6. Don't really care about what you guys are arguing about, but just wanted to point out that no one involved in the crazy 900k Valor a day grind had any of it stripped.
  7. As the subject says, we need to be able to turn titles off in PvP. The ball carrier is getting ganked, I'm running in to extricate for the save and what happens next...? I have to read some long title like "Champion of the Multiverse Bob SmartyHatsAndPants" then search the Ops group for "Bob" so I can click on it. By the time I'm done doing this he's dead. To make matters worse, the titles aren't even consistent. In that case, it's added onto the front of his name. In others it's put on the back so we get, "Bob SmartyHatsAndPants the Awsomest Person Ever". Since the actual name I'm looking for can either be no the front or the middle-ish, I'm stuck reading most of the title each time. For the sake of PvP, why can't I just see a tag that says "Bob" that matches the Ops group which also says "Bob"? Does anyone have any tricks on working with this, other than: "read faster"?
  8. Is anyone else having this problem? I seem to run into an issue where the icon for my bubble stays shaded and I'm unable to press it. I check my status bar and I don't see an active bubble nor do I see the bubble de-buff that you would get if it pops too soon. If I wait, nothing seems to happen, but if I use other abilities, the icon eventually starts working again. Unfortunately, this is happening a lot - and usually at the most inopportune time - and without the bubble, I'm way too soft and squishy and usually end up dead.
  9. lol, the math fails here. If 30 Champ = 1 BM, then it'll actually be easier to get BM than Champ gear because the main BM pieces are 2 BM comms (60 Champs using your numbers) while the main Champ pieces cost 67 comms!
  10. This is ridiculous and really sounds like a L2P situation. As a puller (sorc), I'm squishy and often get killed when trying to get in position to pull the ball carrier. If a team knows what they're doing I can go an entire game without being able to do any good pulls. Pulls are easy to prevent. Kill the puller or displace the puller from their intended position (knockback, etc).
  11. This has existed before 1.1.5. I had it happen after the last patch, but until now I hadn't been able to figure out how it happened. In our case, I was the one to pull the ball carrier across the line for that final win. Usually when a game ends 6-x we're nowhere near the match timeout so I can't imagine this happening too often.
  12. Yep, thanks to extracation, a group of strangers asked me to help them out and took me to what apparently was the +10 to everything datacron.
  13. What exactly is kill trading? In my mind, I imagine a large groups of imps and a large group of pubs playing a game a sacrificial red-rover red-rover. Is that it? On my server, it's not uncommon to have a giant group of imps and a giant group of pubs killing the heck out of each other in one giant crazy slideshow battle. You can get your daily done in minutes when these crazy battles are going on. Trick is to be there when it happens because they're over shortly after they start.
  14. +1, that would be really useful. Currently, I just wave the mouse around the map until I find the waypoint of where I'm supposed to be going, then head in that general direction... lol
  15. Yeah, and nevermind the fact that they're light armor and the heal takes so long to go off (DPS spec) that it's practically useless unless you run far far away.
