  1. Is it April Fool's day already because you got to be joking....
  2. Yes, me and several of my guildmates have that problem as well. And since it's ops night it would be sweet for team Bioware to fix this in, let's say, the next 5 minutes, that would be sweet. Thanks.
  3. Héh I do actually run around in the game in a pink speedo on my toon (doesn't come with purple polka dots though). I guess it does look better on a human male than on a Hutt
  4. Yes, please! Copy/Paste Warsong Gulch into this game and I'll be happy for a very long time :]
  5. It's not self entitlement, it's people that care about what the game could and should be but the developers aren't delivering on. This is a missed chance to improve the quality of their product and players are just pointing that out to the manufacturer. Sure, you could just quit the game and spend your money elsewhere. However, complaining about it first is form of feedback that tells the product developers that you do care about said product, but it needs (specific) improvements if they want you to remain invested in it. It's perfectly normal for anyone that spends money on something to want that something to meet their expectations and when these expectations were a new warzone, then they obviously weren't met with this jungle infested Alderaan Civil War.
  6. Well, since you mentioned looking to order CD-keys from websites, I assumed you had a credit card. I mean, how do you get around on the internet without one? Luckily for you, the shop on the SWTOR website also offers the option to pay with your bank account through iDEAL. Just because there's an impotent Amazon.nl website doesn't mean you have to limit yourself to it. You can shop on Amazon.com just fine from the Netherlands.
  7. In the store from this very site, duh. http://www.swtor.com/buy The one-time 60 days subscription works the same as those game cards/digital keys you mentioned.
  8. o_O!!!!! SWOTR often makes me think Bioware has their servers powered by hamsters, but did the hamster powering the brains of whoever thought resetting the DvL event achievements is a good idea just died? YOU.DO.NOT.RESET.ACHIEVEMENTS.! At the very least archive them. It's a form of game play that keeps part of your player base engaged/active/busy playing your game. This isn't a slap in the face of every OCD achievement hunter... you practically beheaded them! No, no... just, no! This image so much http://imgur.com/gallery/iWKad22
  9. You're welcome, as that is exactly what I got out of your post considering it moronic to change the original companion's sexuality or forcing them to suddenly be Bi upon returning.
  10. Did you notice that when you consistently flirt a couple of times with a currently romanceable same-sex companion, the romance interactions get fleshed out more, and aren't keeping them 'open ended', or limited to flirt options only. Did you also notice that not all companions have flirt options/are romanceable (it's mostly the humans or human-like ones) so there's plenty of companions where this won't even be an issue. However, the ones who do have these options, should have them available to whatever gender pairing each player prefers - which in no way means that Bioware has to "put fleshing out characters in detail back". If anything those companions would be more fleshed out along one of two sexually oriented choices made by the players. About 50 levels worth during three story chapters across 8 classes of rejection is a bit much in a game where you're also supposed to have fun, and where other (hetero) players apparently have all the success.
  11. Nothing about that is moronic. Let's say in some weird alternate universe you're playing a game you really really like, so much so that you're even paying money for it on a monthly basis, you can really immerse yourself into it,,, except for one thing. The game provides romance options, but they're all same-sex... and that's really really not something you can get into. Wouldn't you want hetero-sex options for you? After all, nearly everything else about you character is customizeable in the game, why wouldn't you be able to choose a romance option you personally prefer? And shouldn't those options then be available to you consistently throughout the game on a equal basis as they are to players with same-sex options? Would you be happy with later or less frequent romance options than all those players with same-sex options have? Again, alternate universe; you probably wouldn't even play a game like that if it were real, but the reverse is unfortunately reality for many players who just want to play an exciting game they way they like. On a side note, I do share your concern about Bioware unintentionally breaking the game while the try and, well, do anything really... But in their defense, they also try to fix things... which just take to long... break something else... or over-nerfs something... okay, okay, I'm not helping them here
  12. They wouldn't be 'bisexual', they'd be sexually neutral and become whatever any player wants depending on their use of flirt options. This gives each player their choice of preferred romanceable companion instead of being stuck with a pre-written (possibly token) love interest that probably fails to appease anyone at all. Just imagine Bioware didn't add this (limited) post-original story sexual neutrality we have now for some companions and instead choose to designate two existing companions as homosexuals to appease the players asking for same sex romance, let's say Tharan Cedrix for m/m relations and Kaliyo Djannis for f/f relations... that would be a big fail, at least to me personally. I wouldn't trust any (Bioware) writer to tailor a single companion for players preferring same-sex romance while providing an abundance of choices for people with a hetero-sex preference. One of the most important aspects of MMOs is customization, so you can play as who you want to be and how you want to look in the game you are playing. And if that game provides romance options... who you want to romance. It's only natural for players to ask for same-sex flirting/romance to be available to them right from the start just like hetero-sex flirting/romance is.
  13. I'm running around with a Juggernaut (male) now for this DvL event. I'm not much of an Imp player so everything story-wise about this Jug toon is new for me, including the companions. And the contrast here is huge. I shock the beegees out of Vette every chance I get and still get flirt options from her, while Quin is sucking up to me every chance he gets without me getting any flirt options for him... so disappointing, I just know he wants me .
  14. There's a workaround for that for 4 DPSers: 1) have 3 players wait in the previous boss' room with the kolto dispensers. 2) have 1 player aggro the boss where he comes through the floor. That player then has to die there and not run to the other players because that would reset the boss. (It would be nice if the player who has to die does get in as much damage as possible on the boss before he/she dies though). 3) The other 3 player patiently wait in the 'kolto room' until boss arrives there - yes he will come to you, but he's a bit slow, and yes, he fits through that door. 4) Now the boss can be 3-manned while you have access to kolto dispensers (do not go back to combat-rezz the fourth player as that would likely reset the boss as well). However, keep the following in mind: You are now fighting a big boss in a small room, whoever has aggro on the boss won't have easy access to the kolto dispensers due to the boss' bounding box and will rely on the other 2 players to click the koltos. Therefore, the player with aggro will also have to 'kite' the boss in a way that the other players have free access to the kolto dispensers (i.e. don't have his bounding box sit on the koltos). Do try to time the use of the koltos (specifically after the boss does a leap, or ideally a second before he does) and try not to use more than 2 at a time,
  15. Uhm... nope --> We're men, we want men (unless you're some kind of hetero, which is nothing wrong with of course - I don't want to come off as sexist as you). So, want a Barbie doll, go play... well... Barbie. But then we all already do because that's exactly what our toons and OLD (yes, that's a jab @Bioware) companions are: virtual dress up dolls. I just want my virtual force wielding Ken doll!
  16. A new patch traditionally means lots of exciting bugs to frustrate the player base because no play testing beforehand. Don't start chapter XI with Theron Shan as your companion. Your character will be stuck on your screen with a text balloon with 3 yellow dots and with no interface except for chat. Reloading the game at this point is likely to load your character already having this problem giving you the idea that your character will forever be stuck in limbo. Press ESC to get out of the failed conversation. You might still need to reload your game as it will give you control over your toon again, but won't get the rest of your interface to reappear. When you've -finally- regained control back over your character/UI, switch out Theron for any other companion and all goes well... until you meet up with Aric Jorgan. If he appears in his underwear he will also later on in the chapter story not appear where he's supposed to appear and you will be unable to progress through the rest of the chapter. To solve this you have to unfortunately reset the entire chapter and redo everything you already did before. Happy chapter XI everyone Also, Bioware messed up the subscription reward in my opinion by giving players a HK-55 inspired Helmet instead of an Unstable Arbiter's Lightsaber.
  17. While I totally agree that PvP WZs are a good place to learn to heal, I would like to recommend, especially for anyone who's never done PvP, to roll a new toon and start PvP at the lowest level and work your way up to level cap. Starting to play PvP at level cap just to learn how to heal can be just as overwhelming as the OPs you want to practice for. Likewise, if you're playing a toon at level cap and you decide you want to play that toon with a different role for a change (say, you have always been a dps and suddenly you want to be a healer or tank - advance class permitting), then an OPs isn't the best place to try this out for the first time.
  18. I find your lack of self-confidence disturbing... You're not supposed to be the very best OPs player in the world on your first try. Did you never fell down when you learned to walk? Or ride a bike? Did you always scored A+ in school? Did your sports team always win the championships? Practice padawan... Go back in there and do it again. You'll notice it isn't as bad as you thought it was last time because you will find that you remember things from having been there before, it will be less overwhelming the more often you run an OPS. Also, operations are a team effort, you aren't solely responsible for the entire team. Except for level appropriate nightmare modes, any encounter in an OPs is designed to be overcome without everyone in the group needing to be alive. It's okay, learn from it, remember what went wrong, and do the encounter again until whatever mob/boss is dead. I think you can be a great OPs player, don't let one run discourage you.
  19. My first toon is a Mirialan male Jedi consular rolled during early access in 2011 and he's ready for chapter X. I only stopped playing him after the forced server merger and he lost his name. However, he's been my active main again since a name purge allowed me to get his original name back. This is the toon I use to do all new content 1st, do FPs, Ops, and PvP, everything actually except for GSF (I won't touch that even with a 10 foot pole).
  20. So much lol at this. Now, correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm sure one of you will), but isn't the point/reason of leveling to gain access to more content/maps/game features, to become more powerful to handle this new content that opens up to you as you progress through the game? And not to go back to lower level content for the express purpose of making your ego feel like you're superman while you're facerolling through everything because you couldn't handle said content at a game appropriate level or to farm for mats to craft stuff that will make you epically undergeard for your actual level?
  21. Yes... you can safely assume that people who like a game are also likely to (or at least would like to) play it...
  22. And you do realize that a lot of people tried GW2 and liked it, right? But whether people actually liked the game or not was not my point. I was suggesting for people to try out GW2 for the level sync in that game as a means to get used to it. As it feels very natural, doesn't make you feel weak, and is an overall good thing to have been implemented. And from what I have read about what Bioware intends to do in SWTOR, it seems to be very simular. Sadly I have never played City of Heroes (and will never be able to since that game has been shut down), so I'm unfamiliar with their "mentoring and level-less world boss systems". However, GW2 is still out there so anyone can check it out.
  23. Geez, what is it with people going ballistic over level sync. Go play GW2 and see for yourself that it's not actually a big deal.
  24. Oh wow, I just read your post and I suddenly realized that I wouldn't be playing this game either if it wasn't Star Wars. How bad is that? What does that actually say about this game? (or me )?
