  1. About a 1 in 1500 chance on a Cartel Contraband Slot Machine (ask in fleet chat if you can visit someone's Stronghold to use one) to get a Cartel Certificate as a jackpot prize. Worst i've experienced myself is about 5000 spins without a certificate and the fastest was within 250 spins. The old cartel packs (2+ years old? not 100% sure on the specifics) have a 10% chance per pack to reward a cartel certificate. On average it takes about 500k credits worth of gambling chips and 2 hours of gambling to get a single certificate. Gambling chips are sold by the basic decoration npc Felusia Stato @ 750 credits per token (most people having the Contraband machine decoration have her placed close by).
  2. My suggestion is a greenhouse decoration. This would be a very large structure that fits a centerpiece decoration hook. In this greenhouse you can "plant" any plant or tree and after a certain amount of time a bound on legacy duplicate grows. (could add multiple sizes at various cartel price levels where each size has a size limit for the tree or plant you can grow in it) Let's say a small hook tree or plant takes a day to grow, a medium hook takes a week to grow, a large hook takes 2 weeks to grow and a centerpiece hook takes 3 weeks to grow. Then add a multiplier for rarity, 1x for bronze, 2x for silver and 3x for gold. So for example a small bronze rarity tree takes only a day to grow, while a centerpiece gold rarity tree takes 9 weeks to grow. Make it so you can buy expensive fertilizer for credits to speed up the process so it can act as a credit sink at the same time. And being able to assign a companion to the greenhouse to add an extra speed bonus and a chance on an extra plant or tree, where the chance on extras depends on the companion influence level. This companion will be unavailable to use for the entire duration. Companion can be removed from the greenhouse at the cost of not being able to get said bonus until the tree or plant is grown or the entire operation is cancelled and reset. Similar suggestions: - Mushroom farm decoration. Gives more rewards than the greenhouse (rewards x 1.5), can only grow various fungi decorations. - Crystal growth farm decoration. Takes longer than the greenhouse (time x 1.5), can only grow various crystal decorations.
  3. Removing the level scaling would make the majority of Heroics, Conquest and any generic missions irrelevant. And having a toggle would only make it so half the people will spawncamp and oneshot wb's while the other half just stands there watching some a-hole jump in out of nowhere and kill it because they're still trying to get a full group together. Basically farmers and bots will rule the servers and anyone else will be having a bad time. So no, they shouldn't remove the level scaling.
  4. Cartel A cartel is a group of formally independent producers whose goal is to increase their collective profits by means of price fixing, limiting supply, or other restrictive practices. Basically Bioware/EA made something that is illegal to do irl legal in game (or is it?). Of course it's daylight robbery, that's the whole definition and purpose of a Cartel.
  5. Well there are actually places in the world where ground cables are impossible due to solid bedrock or whatnot, preventing a proper internet connection other than via mobile or satellite. I do agree that, unless you have an unlimited data bundle, you shouldn't use a hotspot for online gaming. I've done it a few times with WoW at a friend's place who lived at a remote farm back then and it took about 40-50mb per hour of gaming. With the average 1gb data limit (europe) for basic mobile subscriptions that's only 20 hours a month without room for anything else really.
  6. http://dulfy.net/2016/04/05/swtor-chapter-12-story-and-alliance-recruitment-guide/#Reclaimed_Treasure_Alliance_Recruitment If that doesn't work all you can do is make an ingame ticket to customer service and they'll usually help within 3-4 days, or call them which is usually quite expensive if you don't live in a country where they have one of the CS offices.
  7. Hmm only 650 item cap? I already have problems getting everything i want in a max Tatooine with 900 item cap and now i've got 250 less hooks to play with? Suddenly my urge to login and buy it has vanished.
  8. We're already paying a hefty sub for that. This whole CM crap needs to stop or they need to make the entire game F2P. Currently we get shafted with the worst of both worlds and many like myself are getting sick of it. All the bloody fanboys got Stockholm Syndrome so they can't think straight and defend whatever their idols present, even if it's gold-coated excrement, and all the whales don't care about wasting some extra "lunch money" because all they have to do is sneeze and make their losses back. Everyone else stuck in between has become collateral damage. EA/Bioware, Show us the numbers. Show us the development budget and costs in a nicely presented spreadsheet. Show us how much money you REALLY need instead of trying to grab every last penny like you're a dying business who knows his days are numbered. Give us facts if you want our money. Show us you're reliable, transparent and honest. Is that really too much to ask?
  9. Cool, so if you want the pvp color crystals you need to grind pvp on every toon that wants them.... Dear EA and Bioware, imagine a hand with the fingers all stretched out, now fold down the thumb, the index finger, the ring finger and your itty bitty lil' pinky. Now turn what's left 180 degrees facing yourself.
  10. Crafting mods would be the only reliable way. However this takes quite some time and resources to achieve. Get a cheap custom orange set from one of the fleet vendors and craft blue mods (or possibly reverse engineer them to purple if needed) when you feel underpowered for your level. Especially if you plan to make multiple alts, making some crafting toons can be a valid way to go (crafting is not restricted by character level, if you want in theory you can get a max level crafter at lvl 1. You will however lack a good list of companions to actually do missions as the maximum number of companions who can craft at once is based on your level/class story progression). Furthermore primary stats like base damage and health scale down to a planet's max level, all the secondary stats like crit, accuracy, alacrity etc. aren't scaled and are calculated at your current level. Since each planet's difficulty is designed for the stats you would have at that level, having higher level gear only makes the content extremely easy. If for some reason the content is too difficult with gear you got on the planet you might want to check and see if there is a way to more optimally use your skills (or simply not use certain skills because they're bad). Getting your companion influence up to a higher level or changing them from dps to tanking or healing can also greatly improve your survivability.
  11. I agree with you, however the majority of forum veterans have their heads so far up their rectum they have no idea anymore what sunshine looks like. They're already brainwashed after so many years of of EA Cartel Market abuse that they've got Stockholm Syndrome and try to defend this horrible consumer-unfriendly system by any means necessary, including being a douche to new players with honest questions like you. I've given up on trying to show them what sunshine looks like. Just bide your time and hope for a lucky 50% off on all unlocks like i did to make the losses bearable.
  12. Possibly next casino event, probably the one after that. The last 2 versions before the current one had identical rewards so don't expect new stuff every time. Wraith will most likely go for 15 golden and the piggy for 30 when it happens. I expect no new rewards until next year at least.
  13. Nothing in that entire sentence is EA's fault. It's all your own fault for not taking your account security serious 10 years ago. This system is designed specifically so things like what you want can't happen. That someone hijacks your account via email without CS ever confirming if that person is actually you. This is done for your own safety. Imagine if a bank would do the same, rewire your money to another account to the first person who emails them and claims to be you but says he has forgotten the password/key/security question and any means to identify he is actually you, that would be the worst bank on earth to put your money, now wouldn't it? I lost my account once and had to get a new one because of the same stupidity so you only have yourself to blame really.
  14. F2P, in its current state, needs to change or just go completely. This vid from Extra Credits sums up nearly everything wrong with the current model and why it is bad for the future of the game. Even if the vid is from 2014, the content is still relevant to the current state of the game.
  15. I would say a Dark Side Jedi Knight or Consular. Being able to corrupt the Jedi Order from within, slaying key figures, crushing the hopes and dreams of those who consider you a friend is what i consider to be true dark side. I mean sure a marauder might have a higher kill count in the end, but that's what everyone expects anyway so the shock factor is minimal. Planting the seeds of corruption and tending to your twisted garden, manipulating, lying, keeping up charades, like a surgeon making precise and well calculated cuts just there where it truly hurts, now that's being a proper advocate of the dark side!
