  1. Bioware is wrong and brainless about customer service. They got no excuse to act the way they do. Bioware is not the only company that act like this, most of them actually do. And it's players' fault if this keeps going on. To many fanboys and/or no brain players flame those that complain just for the fun of it. I know it's the internet, i know we all are human being and as such animals. But, come on... I can understand we like a game and if someone attacks it because of something ridiculous (as all the bugs claimed as game breaking which i never experienced or never found that bad...) or because some idiot bought the game not knowing what kind of game this is, they get flamed and they deserve it. But, when it comes to lack of customer service (there is none actually), then i can't understand those that keep defending Bioware. WE ALL pay, even if not that much, to play this game and as for anything else in this world we want and pretend some sort of customer service. What would you say if after having bought an appliance you got a problem with it and the seller nor the maker is willing to tell you what's wrong and/or how to fix it? Or if the shop where you bought it is closed until further notice with no explanation whatsoever? Ok, that appliance costed you only 15$, not much, so what do you want now? Go somewhere else and buy a new one, possibly another maker; they are all the same anyway I bought DDE and 2 further months of game time to play it. I PRETEND AS CUSTOMER to have some customer service, be notified in time when the servers will go down and why if possible. Plus, i'ld like to be threated as anyother customer, which isn't happening as i live in Europe and maintenance times are not when most of European are in bed.... Now feel free to quote my post and bla bla bla with your immature selfish non sense, i don't care as i'll be playing (yes, i'm one of those who come on these forums once in a while and spend most of their free time playing the game).
  2. I fully agree on everything you wrote, it's the same way i feel. I love the game as it is, even with the bugs, the rest is what i would expect by a cheap and fraudulent company.
  3. In someway it could be correct that you can hit a player of opposite faction if he/she is pvp flagged. That would give you a little advantage if you want to give the first hit. But, bad pvp players (or just plain idiots) got used to play on pve server and wander around looking for lower level players just for the fun of it (their own fun) and exploit this feature. That's bannable, problem is that it's hard to prove they made it on purpose and usually GMs don't care much about harrassing and exploiting. The solution is easy, imo: to start any kind of pvp we must manually flag ourselves for pvp (battlegrounds and enemy territories flag us for pvp anyway and that's right).
  4. Left The Progenitor RP server at level 15. I remember very well how was on on an RP server in wow at the beginning and until the end of TBC. With wotlk a new flow of players, the so called new generation, flooded the game in each and every server. They didn't understand what RP was and as almost every human being they hate or disrepect what they don't understand. Those that are there to roleplay , simply because they play in a different way and enjoy different things are a kind of alien to them. I don't want to start a flame now, but, seriously, think about this. Imagine you are a teenager: you go in room where you meet gays; if you are alone, you most probably keep quite and a low profile. You are in group with friends and then you feel much stronger; you start making jokes and having fun of the gays, just because they are different... I know that not everyone would act lke that, but, most teenagers would, just because they are teenagers. Well, i've been a teenager and i know what i'm talking about. I'm not being racist now, mine was just an example and you all know it.... Months ago there was already a war on these very forums about roleplaying servers, with many angry about the creation of dedicated RP servers. Bioware gave to roleplayers their servers and made a mistake not enforcing some rules. I can guarantee you that general chat on The Progenitor is a disgusting one, you really feel the need to leave the general chat because of the immature people that fill ti with nonsense and spam. I'm playing on 2 different servers now, normal pve ones, one for Republic characters and one for Empire characters. Don't know why, but i never felt the need to close the general chat. Usually, players, are much more mature and there is no spam at all neither. My guess is that RP servers have been flooded by people trat know what they are doing, their goal is to disrupt the enjoyment of roleplayers. Probably i'm being paranoic now, but that's what i feel, sorry about it and i apologise if i hurted someone feelings.
  5. Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2,4 ghz, 5 gb ram; Nvidia Geforce GTX 260 1gb dram. I play the game at 1600x1050 on high settings but shadows which i keep low (same as i was forced to do with wow, not worth lowering the fps to have better shadows...). My system is a bit old, still i can play anything up to now with good fps. I never go down 30 fps and often i'm over 60. I never noticed any difference playing other games at 100 and even in swtor sometimes fps goes up to 90 without giving me any apparent better appearance. I'm sure Bioware is taking this matter seriously, it's beyond any doubt that many got this problem because there many complaints about it. What i'm afraid of is the fact that, most probably ( from the posts that i read here ), the machines affected by this are those newer and more powerful. It would mean that the game, in its long years it has been developed, has not been well tested on the latest pcs generation... Or/and most of you got a pc which has not been built properly, do not forget that we are talking about PC IBM "compatible" machines. We can't be 100% sure that even 2 machines wholly built by the same manufacturer can be compatible with the same program.
  6. Wow at the beginning was epic, even with all the bugs and glitches. It was my first mmorpg after the asian ones and i fell in love with it. Swtor is another epic mmorpg for me. It's very different from WoW because it's a story driven mmo, plus it gives players the choice and the chance to play as they wish. Wanna play alone? Easy, everyone can solo this game, we just need someone else for the flashpoints and some heroic quest, but that's not hard to find. Even if you don't want to group, then you can still progress as solo. And if you love being part of a community or if what you like are an endless serie of flashpoints and raids then there are several guilds in each server only for that purpose. All the rest? A few bugs? Some delay with the skills? Well, i'm not affected and the few things i noticed have not been game breaking at all. Are over 10 years now that i play mmorpgs and not saying how many more that i play pc games (first online games i played were the Muds, does any of you know those?), so maybe i'm a real noob not able to play because i can't see the delay. Please, be patient, try to see the good things this game can offer and if you really don't like this kind of games, then there is a pletora out there that can be what you are looking for. No need to bash this very game just because you thought it was different or because it's not yet moddable or whatelse you don't like about it. When i play i never hear complaints about the game. I have to hide the general chat sometimes, because of several immature players, but that's what i was used to do in WoW too, is not that immature players are just in Swtor... I'm sure 100% that those who come on the forums complaining, are not even 1% of subscribers. Each server got thousands of players and i still got to hear these complaints on the servers i created my characters (7 different servers, PVE,RP,PVP...). That makes it a very good game in my opinion....
  7. Sorry, went back a page and got my previous answer posted on here again, just deleting it...
  8. No, no and then NO again! Please, Bioware, please don't do this. There is no need for anybody to know what another players is doing and/or the way is doing. If you really want to make it, then please, make it that we can choose to be inspected or not. And that's worth for an eventual armory as well. I want to keep my privacy, i think it's my right. If someone likes to show off i got nothing against it, but i want to be able to choose it by myself...
  9. My sub will end on the 21st of March, so i'll be here next month. I strongly hope they will add more content as i WANT to keep playing this game. I love SWTOR, the storylines and genrally the way it is. There are few flaws, nothing gamebreaking and nothing i've not seen already at the launch ( and even past the launch) of many others mmo, no one exempt... Many and many years playing mmorpgs made me wanting one that keeps me busy and entertained for long, because i haven't got time to spread between several games. Found two during last 10 years. One died for me once i played wow beta, the other one is dieing right now and for what concern myself it died once i tried Swtor beta ;-). Long life to SWTOR and my thanks to Bioware's team for delivery of yet another great game. I work, i got a family, i've no much spare time just for myself and the little i got i want to spend having fun. SWTOR gives me that: fun and great time!
  10. This game's forums remind me of WoW's ones. But there is a difference, a big one. On WoW's there are people which spend all their time answering to almost each and every post, always the same people. They attack whoever says anything wrong about WoW, i would call them fanboys if they actually played that game, which they don't as their whole time is spent on the forums. I think that the same people is switching between WoW and Swtor forums. They just denigrated with no reason Swtor over here and defend, again with no reason, WoW which is gone down the hill (not dead, it will take years for it to die and that will only be Blizzard's fault). Swtor will be here for many years to come and will still be here when WoW will be dead, replaced by the new Blizzard's MMORPG. This game is different in many aspects, is a new kind of MMORPG. You cannot compare it to WoW nor to any other mmporg out there. I really would like Bioware to allow only subscribers in these forums, the same as Blizzard does about WoW. I bet that most of you would not be able to come here trolling. This game is exactly as i knew it was going to be, that's why i bought it and that's why i got 3 months subscribed already plus my security key on its way. Few bugs are not stopping me to enjoy it and i'm having a great time, almost the same (if not more) than when i started WoW when it launched. I know is useless to ask the Mods to ban trolls' accounts as they would make new ones. Posting on forums should be for subscribers only...
  11. With LFD i would be forced to use it in some way. Many would use it just because of lazyness, many will use it as it remains the only way to get into a group and more and more players would use it because they will get, most times not politely, asked to join LFD that has been created just for that purpose. I remeber that was the case in WoW once LFD came out :S So, yes, if i have to choose between being forced to do it in a way which i don't like, then i prefer others to do it the way i like. Basically it doesn't change, someone would not be happy: Wait and see what Bioware thinks about this matter, everyone will have to do Bioware's way anyway.
  12. True, while now what you have to do is just watching on you tube one of the very few real gamers while defeating a boss for the first time and learn every trick. Then you use a bunch of addons which will tell you exactly what to do and when to do it. That's the reason you stopped playing wow, bored because it was not you playing, it was your addons and youtube. Since wotlk i played that game less than half of the time i payed for and subscribed less than six months a year ( and i started with the beta, too....). Oh, and lost almost all my friends (because they left the game) since wotlk and few that were still playing during wotlk, left with cata. New players don't know how it was at the beginning and can like it. Most old players didn't like the changes, which were made to attract the new generation and left (and are still leaving in a worrying and growing number). Only my opinion anyway. and i wish Bioware would give us only the tools to modify the UI and the character appearance while they progress... nothing else, no LFD nor Addons.
  13. I see LFD as something to avoid at all costs. It might be useful in some way only if used in the same server (which would be almost useless...). There are a lot of immature/arrogant players (people) around. That's true for this game as for any other out there and as for the whole internet community. Getting to know people is the key to have a pleaseant game time. Once you know someone and decide is nice, then you add him/her to your friend's list and hopely you will group togheter often. I had several bad groups already, people never talking and just needing on everything. People leaving the dungeon in the middle with no reason. People pretending to know everything and acting like elitists (game just started!!!) and the others do know nothing nor how to play their class... But, on the other hand, i found many that are really good and nice and i started to add them as friends on my list. Someone offered me to party for other dungeons after a day or 2 because they remember me as a tank, but mostly because i've been friendly and polite. With LFD in WoW's style all this would get lost, again... Community is already bad as it is because that's the way most people is. Tried to get in a guild and after 2 days i left it. I don't want to be forced to be in the same guild where 12 years old kids keep spamming the chat with non sense, vulgarities and with names that belong to other sci fy environments (someone can't understand the difference between Star Wars and Dune, as an example). Please, do not encourage to force nice and/or mature people to mix up with bad and/or immature ones. It's proved that this can only lead to the ruin of a community (take WoW as main example). We can build a list of like minded players to play with, only if we got to actively look for it. LFD would not allow that....
  14. If you find a bug and post about it, nobody would attack you. People would appreciate you doing that. Different matter is if you find a bug and post over these forum with rage. That way you act as a magnete to bad comments. Count up to 10 or 100 until you calm down before shouting your rage. These bugs are for everybody and not just one or one hundred unlucky guys, still there are only very few that complain. Give dev's team the time to fix the bugs (once they know about). I agree that a game, after years of testing, shouldn't have major bugs. But, hey, look at each and every game and tell me which one is bugs free. Even the simpliest single player game got its bugs. Devs are forced to rush by those that put their money in. If you want to shout your rage to someone just shout it to investors (probably the same ones that are ruining world's economy...). At Bioware, i would bet on it, people are not happy for the bugs and probably less than us. It's their job, their careers. I really think they would love to give us a game without bugs. They made a good job in my opinion, i love this game and i'm sure they will fix it. Until then i play it, changing server and making new characters so i can see each and every aspect of the game.
  15. When i get that error i just click anywhere with the right mouse button and the left one works again. At the beginning i did the same as you, still never complained about it. I UNDERSTAND that the game is new and there can be bugs. I found a lot of bugs when WoW started and found a lot of bugs in every game i played until now, single player or multiplayers doesn't matter, always bugs at the beginning. The only time when i complained was once in WoW, because they took offline the whole game for a day or so, and that happened more than once... I CAN'T UNDERSTAND why people have to complain every time about bugs when they know very well that the game has just been released. This is not the first game ever... Reading your complains i figure out you are not little kids as they type in a different way. You are just frustrated guys, or trolls...
