  1. Personally, having no auto-attack is something I actually kind of enjoy. It's a nice change. Also, you usually dont have to spam 1 more than 2 or 3 times before pulling off a few other moves. However, I wouldn't be against a future patch that added an auto attack. End of the day, it's not a deal breaker.
  2. Well good then that makes me feel a bit better. I just don't get all the hate about it on the forums.
  3. When you buy a car do you compare it with what is currently on the market or do you compare it with a model T? Ya know, where cars were at their release...... Just saying. Its expected to have so much polish and so many features because that's where gaming as pushed the MMO envelope. You don't make a product with the aim for it to be as good as (insert name here) was at launch. You make it to surpass where it is now.
  4. I am interested to see if Bioware will give us an idea of what they are planning for future (hopefully not too distant) patches of the game. The ones I am personally interested in are the allowance of mods, UI enhancement, a server (NOT cross server) type tool, and dual spec. Dual spec is one that hits home and I have a great desire for. I've heard a lot of pro;s and con's on these forums and for me the pro's heavily outweigh the cons. Con's: (my own and others I've read) Lessens the impact of you choice Kills immersion Ruins RP um? Pro's: (Again, my own and others I've read) More Tanks More Healers Greater Variety Exposed to more roles of gameplay without having to devote a huge amount of time to lvl up again. LFD groups build up easier For me personally I've always been a dps/damage dealer at heart so thats what tends to be my "main." But, I've also enjoyed healing and even tanking if the situation presents itself. With the current system it will get incredibly expensive incredibly fast to keep changing specs. To me, I feel this is a penalty that really doesn't need to be there. How is it a bad thing for me to switch to a tank so that my guild can run a heroic together? Or, if my main tank gets tired of tanking everything under the sun and wants a break/change of role it costs me credits? To all the pepole complaining that it will kill immersion, rp, etc etc then don't respec yourself. I don't see how a person choosing to re-spec or dual spec impacts you? I mean really what are the cons? There are more healers and tanks and we spend less time trying to build a group? You're able to do more with a single character? Man, terrible. I hear a lot of people saying that its an MMO, its supposed to take a long time/be a grind etc etc. I'm sorry, but personally I play games for fun. Being forced to farm out credits/and or level another character is ridiculous to me. Just make the endgame fun and you will have no issue keeping people around. In fact, if this game wishes to have a large subscription base for any length of time endgame content is the only thing that will keep it alive. Re-leveling and story only takes up so much time. /endrant and wall-o' text crits you for 6000 dmg.
  5. For those of you with knowledge/experience I would like assemble a thread with full custom setups geared for SWToR. The format should be as follows: Total Cost: Expected performance: (What settings and FPS you would estimate it to run ToR at) The hardware: Pretty self explanatory. You can go as crazy as you want $ wise but keep in mind that a good blend of performance and budget are always appreciated. Try to keep other chatter to a minimum and remember these systems are to be geared at running ToR. GO!
  6. I agree as well. Macros would be nice as well.
  7. Alright, thanks. I was afraid of that. Hopefully both will be improvements they are working on for the UI. I seriously hope they allow add-on support. A lot of WoW's (and other mmo's) greatest UI features were first in the game as add-ons.
  8. Is there a system in game that can be used to mark a target for your party to focus fire on? Is there a way to view your targets target? Currently these are my only real annoyances with the game. Hopefully I'm just overlooking the options somewhere in the menu but I've checked multiple times and have been unable to find it.
  9. I hardly see it making a huge dent in WoW until more endgame content (then what is rumored) is released. That being said I am an ex-wow player that has zero intentions of going back. Been off for a little over a year and have been searching for a new mmo since.
  10. Hiljo Pajef.......WE HAVE A WINNER hahahaha
  11. Haven't laughed this hard at something I read on a forum in a long time. Thank you for this sarcastic rant! Really a nice change from the serious QQ's.
  12. No. In the world of MMORPG what has been done recently in the "most successful" one (WoW)? They have made a few minor changes here and there that I believe will really improve the pre-endgame content and make it feel less like a grind. New games don't have to completely re-write the formula to be successful at ALL. Look at all the CoD's since the first modern warfare. Same basic concept with a few changes here and there but all wildly successful.
  13. In theory it sounds good but in practice it would fail. Simply put, when you're behind a computer screen age ceases to become a factor. I know more adults (25+) that were "trade chat trolls" and spammers then I do 13 year olds. I'd say 75%> of people I couldn't stand in WoW were over the age of 20.
