  1. There's a new bug where falling into the energy chasm in Voidstar will not instantly kill you, requiring you to use the /ctuck command. I've also been glitched into geometry in many WZ's as the result of an enemy knock-back. Mostly, it's been getting stuck inside Voidstar doors on the side where the bomb has detonated and the door breach geometry is present. But I have also been stuck inside the geometry, as the result of enemy knock backs, in Civil War and Huttball, as well. These are things that occur on a weekly basis. I play 25+ hours a week, and 99% of that play time is WZ's - so I see a lot of this type of glitching occur.
  2. Actually, BW has addressed the question of cross-server queueing. It is BW's stance that keeping queues inside of servers generates a more productive, competitive and tight-knit community. Now, take from that what you will, but that's their official stance. That opinion could very well be a guise for BW not having the available resources to implement cross-server queueing.
  3. I'm not sure what you want BW to do about the issue you're having. I'm not trying to white knight for BW, but the game is doing exactly what it was meant to - drawing from the WZ queue pool on a first-come basis and generating a match. You've already addressed the issue at hand with saying you're solo-queueing continuously, and you refuse to join a guild. Honestly, unless you're playing on Jung Ma, there's not a single server in the game that does not have at least one guild with the capability to field a team at any point during the day. Not every single guild is a hardcore PVP guild with strict scheduling guidelines and VOIP requirements. There's plenty of "casual" pvp guilds on ALL servers to join that will at least get you inside of a premade. Since BW has refused to appreciate the utility of cross-server queueing (citing that keeping queues inside of a server keept he community more tight-knit), there's nothing else you can do. Join a guild, or stop queueing for WZ's if you're that frustrated - simple.

    OP-owertechs

Obviously the OP was not playing when Carolina Parakeet was viable. The OP was also not playing when PPA had no internal CD. The OP was, again, not playing when a PT could use IM > TD > RS from 30m, doing over half the target's HP in damage before even closing in to 10m just to proc PPA and get another RS in immediately afterwards. Sorry to all the haters - If you're pressing any less than 5 buttons regularly to do damage, as a PT Pyro, you're a bad and doing it completely wrong. I know you non-PT Pyro bads like to pretend we only need to press 3, maybe 4, but it's way more involved than that. Our objective damage is 99% single-target, which can easily be out-shone by a competent Lethality Sniper. And that's just the damage dealing side of it...A good PT Pyro also needs to worry about survivability and all the intrinsic complexities involved with actually staying alive in this glass-cannon spec. Sure, PT's are Heavy Armor and get ~32% DmgReduc...But that's ONLY for Kinetic and Energy damage types. Other than than, PT's only get a piddly 10sec self-HOT and a 25% OA DmgReduc for 12 seconds. Our pull (Grapple) CANNOT be used if our target is resolved out, and we only get 6.5 seconds of total available CC time, which pales in comparison to almost every other AC. A really good player can use all these tools and rock the house, but nearly every player in an MMO is not going to be on that level. Stop crying just because some noob can deliver a 4.5k attack once every few seconds. If you're dying to non-optimized scrubs playing a glass-cannon, maybe you should reanalyze your own personal skill level instead of trying to place the blame elsewhere.
  5. A lot of new Pyros stress over their RS having a chance to miss, but the truth is that you have a chance to miss, even with 100% Accuracy. I've said it many, many times before - You do not need accuracy for this build in PVP. Yes, RS will, on occasion, miss. Missing with RS is not common at all, however. I only miss about 1-in-10 RS, and very rarely do I miss twice in a row. Also, there is no amount of Accuracy you can stack to make up for the raw damage output of stacking Power and Surge. Stacking Accuracy means your crits go limp. When your crits go limp, your OAD suffers terribly. You're not just taking away Surge from RS, you're also taking it away from every other ability in your arsenal. That means your CGC, FB, IM and TD doesn't crit as hard. That means your TTK is climbing. When your TTK climbs, your survivability decreases, as a Pyro.
  6. You can look at the mods an item has in it to see what you need to buy before you buy it. Look for the cheapest piece of gear that has a +40 Power Mod and +42 Power/+52 Surge Enhancement. You won't be able to find both mods in one piece of gear, I can tell you that now. You'll be looking at buying one piece of gear for each Mod, and then another piece of gear for each Enhancement. In this build, RS+TD (RS and TD are Kinetic damage) burst is our most effective damage setup. Even though we use far more fire effects, RS still counts for the largest potion of total damage done in fully optimized gear. You can track this for yourself by using a DPS tracker to parse your combat logs after a WZ. You want to buff your highest damaging attacks for the burst. Having sustained damage in PVP doesn't count for much if you can't live long enough to put it out there (Pyros are semi-glass cannons). If you want sustained damage with higher survivability, it's better to go AP. However, I wouldn't recommend that if you plan on engaging in competitive PVP (RWZ).

    PVP Names to fear

There's a few people I respect for their ability and for the challenge they give me in WZ's. TheJanitor, Gbro, Zek-Anlai, Ven, Galactuzz, Rios, Ysabel, Deviuz, Polysporenski, Crystal, Rakeshzeal
  8. Sorry, but I'm not just sitting there telling you a story. There's a lot "show-and-tell" occurring the video via demonstration. It's actually more practical to have a visual walk-through, rather than simple text, when it comes to relating complex information. If you have an issue with information retention, that's not my problem - Although, you are more than welcome to make your own text guide using the information provided in my video.
  9. Yes, all Powertech elemental damage (other than IGC) is considered a Fire Effect. This means that FB, CGC, IM, FT all benefit from Intimidation. If you only put 1 point into Intimidation, there would not be a substantial gain in DPS over short periods of damage - which is what Pyro PVP DPS is. Intimidation with your CGC and IM dot applied to targets under 30% almost doubles that potential 2% FB damage lost from not spec'ing into Hot Iron. Also, remember that you don't just FB until PPA proc - You're using other abilities to either manage heat, set up burst, get your PPA proc, or CC. During that time, your CGC should always be ticking on your opponent. The harder CGC ticks, the more damage you're able to do while using fillers.
  10. None that I personally know of. There's other video guides, but fromt he ones I've seen, they don't give a lot of detail in one aspect or another.
  11. Thanks! I appreciate that! Sorry for the delay, I've been working hard trying to get RL stuff done and my EWH grind finished.
  12. Yeah, from what I've see, the EWH Implants and Ear aren't as good as the WH versions for the build I run, and the primary stat gains are pretty worthless for secondary stats that are replaced. It's still going to be a better idea to buy the set pieces first for the Armoring 27's, since the Armoring pieces offer a way higher stat gain than the Power mod and enhancement pieces from the gloves and boots.
  13. This 8/8/25 spec is great for leveling in pve content. It maximizes the use of Flame Burst, Rail Shot, Rocket Punch and your Combustible Gas Cylinder DOT. It also gives you a slight boost to your Endurance value, which can help significantly if you start out-leveling content and get behind in gear. Make sure you have Combustible Gas Cylinder active! Start in the Pyro tree, and put your points into your skills in this order: Bursting Flame, Iron Fist, Superheated Gas, Superheated Rail, Integrated Cardio Package, Incendiary Missile, Prototype Particle Accelerator, Rapid Venting, Firebug, Rain of Fire Then at level 35, start int he AP tree and take the Skills in this order: Puncture, Prototype Burn Enhancers, Hot Iron, Prototype Cylinders Then at level 43, start into the Shield Tech tree, and go the following route: Rail Loaders, Intimidation, Steely Resolve This will work until you can start collecting some gear. It's not going to be very good for running Warzones, but you should have no trouble at all with planetary missions and Flashpoints. Once you start collecting some gear at level 50, you will want to change your spec up just a little (like moving points from Integrated Cardio Package to somewhere else). Just make sure to pay attention to the link I gave you so you don't spend too many points into the Skills I listed above! Not all the Skills are point maxed for what I listed!
  14. I'm going to be making a key binding video very soon with tips and tricks. It will also include interface editor tips. Of course, it will all be centered around pvp, but I can't imagine that it wouldn't be applicable to pve, as well.
  15. lol. Just because I'm not a fat slob doesn't mean I don't eat... Also, when you swap armor pieces around in cosmetic shells all the time, and you have as many gear guts in your bag as I do (seeing I've collected and stripped a full set of WH Eliminator, full set of WH Combat Tech, 16 WH Gloves, 2 WH OH, 2 EWH OH, 1 WH MH, and 1 EWH MH), it can be easy to misplace ONE SINGLE MOD. It's not like every piece of my gear had the wrong guts in it - just one piece with one mod. Hell, the mod was still a Power mod, it was just an Agile 26A instead of an Agile 26. Also, if you can't take the information I provide in my instructional videos and apply it to real-world scenarios, then I don't think you're ready for "advanced gameplay." Besides, I have videos of me in actual WZ's that you can watch to see how I apply my knowledge.
  16. I'd like to use a Blaster Rifle just so I can equip my sweet Bowcasters I got during the GAR event. lol
  17. The end-game weapons and relics do not have a LS/DS requirement, like they do when you're leveling. It's pretty much whatever you want to do.
  18. "We" didn't have any duels after we wiped you 5v5 that night. After we waited a few minutes for your group to come back, which you didn't, everyone went their separate ways to do their dailies. You killed Romiel and I twice - you didn't kill us "multiple times," as though indicating we were wiped over and over, nor were you attacked by the Champion NPCs. Your group was tucked safely against an empty wall. The only thing you had to fight after making your way into the base was Malkiv, Romiel and Eisys. I love how Alpha Company even spins fables on the forums to "enhance" their in-game RP.
  19. You never wiped our 5-man. The only time you wiped anyone is when Romiel and I zoned in from a WZ and were the only ones in the base. I actually killed one of your healers before you even killed me the first time, but you did wipe Romiel and I twice before Eisys, an Op heals, zoned in from the same WZ. We then wiped the rest of your team without dying again. Since we knew you would be back, we put together a 5-man of Malkiv, Romiel, Maezia, Eisys, and Krispos. Even though Krispos wasn't actually in our group, we told him what was going on, and we waited together. Sure enough, we saw you gathering just right at the edge of view-distance from the base. We then ran over to you and proceeded to make it look like you didn't even know how to use a keyboard. Only Krispos died, since he wasn't in our group, and I don't think Eisys or Maezia saw him get low on HP. After we wiped your team, I did a /sorry to Aeris (since I know Aeris on Imp side), and we waited a few minutes. You guys didn't come back, so we all went about our dailies again. That's what actually happened, and we all know Alpha Company is notorious for trying to re-write history in their favor when **** goes down in pvp.
  20. If we were not accepting those class-spec combos you listed, I would have included them in the "Not Accepting" list. The "Openings Available Immediately" list is simply a priority list. It should suffice to say, not all class-spec combos are viable in PVP at a competitive level. Anyone level 50 can apply to to our guild. Those that have the class-spec combo in the O.A.I. list have a much better chance of being accepted than those in the N.A. list.
  21. Our website is now fully functional and free of ad content. http://fearthemayhem.enjin.com
  22. 4/6/31 Is the best spec for DPS PT's now. Carolina Parakeet no longer works, because you now have to be in CGC to get the PPA proc. Iron Fist no longer works because of the way some of the ST skills have been revamped. Check out my Pyro PVP Guide for spec'ing and gearing.
  23. Why would anyone run AP? Even in PVE, AP is just sub-par when compared to the amount of actual DPS that Pyro can provide. To say, "I'm AP and my damage is always on the top of the chart," is to say that no one else on your team is doing very good. AP just cannot pull the damage that Pyro can - period. Using Advanced Reflex Armoring 27's in the Belt and Wrist along with Hawkeye crystals in the MH and OH provide a larger damage increase than stacking Expertise over 1200. This is simple math that can be done with using a calculator. Doing so, you only lose about 1.75% damage reduction, from ~1390 Expertise to ~1200 Expertise. Actually, the Crit Rating gained from stacking Aim does have its own DR table. That's been a known fact since near the start of the game, when people were gearing up in January. Also, pushing high Crit Rating does not make you deal more damage - It only gives you the potential to roll a critical hit. That's why DPS (even of other classes) goes Power heavy, along with Surge. Even for PVE, your crit rating should never exceed 300. Steely Resolve should only be used as a bolster for PVE damage mechanics. You should still always stack secondary stats heavier than primary stats, as any DPS. Having the 9% increase to total Aim only helps give that little extra, since it is used in place of TD builds (which burst is not necessary for pve). Like I said, no DPS PT should ever be stacking Aim.
  24. Who We Are We're a competitive PVP guild, and our guild was formed by some of the most experienced, active PVP'ers on the Empire side. Our founding members are here for the long run, and do not intend on unsubbing any time in the foreseeable future. What We Do We PVP all day - and just when you thought we were done PVP'ing, we PVP some more. While we're completing the building of a Ranked team, we're blowing up regular WZ's. We do plan on running Ops, but only as a way to get Armoring patterns - This will not be a defining point of our guild. We do not actively RP inside the guild, but we also do not look down on RP'ers - we understand what server we have rolled on, and we will never grief you for it. Who We're Looking For We want level 50 PVP'ers who are able to follow directions, as well as be able to react situationally. We want players dedicated to the game who will be able to show up most nights to group for PVP. We want players that are going to have an active subscription to the game for the foreseeable future. We're not so much worried about being full augmented WH at this point in time, since we're trying to build a solid team. The use of the TS3 client is required. Voice communication is absolutely necessary for our continued supremacy. We prefer if you have a microphone to use, but being able to hear us will suffice. How To Contact Us You may contact one of the officers of the guild (Askar, Jevex, Malkiv, Romiel) by whisper in-game. You may also apply on our website. You can also reply to this thread or send an officer an in-game mail, but since we do require a very small interview, it would be best to get a hold of us personally in whispers. How This Works After we either review your application on the site, or you contact us in whispers, we will then do a gear check on you (just to see where you stand), and then we will do some trial runs with you (make sure you're available for an hour or two). After you are accepted, you will enter a temporary probationary period in which we will monitor your progression in both skill and gear (you will be in the guild running with the Prototype tag). After your temporary probationary period (a max of two weeks), you will become a full-fledged Prototype member.
