  1. Get some gear, play pvp, you'll get a feeling soon enough. Its mostly fun, sometimes a bit frustrating tho. Play with some skilled friends if possible. Edit: Sentinel is very nice dps class, cant' go wrong much there whatever build you choose to play, it had some buffs and nerfs, but its mostly fine.

  5. To be honest, sorc healers are easiest to kill of all, they don't need nerf. Healing mechanics need some change - heals are too big and too quick and HP generally too high, or the stuns are too long etc. Whatever, all of this is leading to stalemates and annoying gameplay.
  6. Now this is ignorant comment. We DO focus healers. If you don't you will have 0 kills at the end and lose the game. If you do you will have 5 kills and get stalemate. As dps coordinate, healers also coordinate. Tanks are defending healers. Healers are defending healers.Once you get stunned they heal good portion of the damage you fought so hard to inflict. And there's plenty of stuns in this game. DPS just can't inflict enough damage to kill team with healers. Even if you kill one healer somehow, by the time you manage to do it, the other guy has respawned and came back to fight. Hence stalemate.. Bet you are a healer also..

  8. PVP healing has really gone totally out of control, its ridiculous and annoying and not fun, and then again ridiculous and annoying. Voidstar is nightmare to play, I make 900k dmg and have like 3 or 5 kills total. Nobody can open the door whole game and game ends with scores 0-0 mostly. Somewhere in the half of the game I just wish to leave and play a Hutball or something else. It feels like rolling the stone uphill for 15 minutes.. Focusing helps ofcourse but it has almost come to the point that you need at least 3 people on a healer. Operative healers are EXTREMELY hard to kill for some reason to add to the problem. And this is happening more often now, as every Bob and Jo are switching to healing spec. Now what we need something is some healing limitation in PVP: something like - the more you heal the same player the more are heals reduced. Cap it on 50%. Example: if you heal a player for his full hp heals are reduced 25%, if you heal him 2x for full hp (say 50k heal) reduce heal 50%. Heals are 50% until he dies. Then reset after death. Numbers are arbitrary here thats balance issue.
  9. I dont know really, smash is nerfed already, nerfing a bit more might kill the spec completely. Smash is the only thing that makes Focus spec playable. SPec got zero usefull aoe except smash. Twin throw saber is low dmg. Smashers cant hold target in place, only thing they can do is jump and smash. Rest of the spec is crap. If jump and smash do not work good theres no reason to play focus. I don't think smasher can smash at all BH heavy armor for 10k with half decent gear ?! 7-8k is more realistic. 10k smashes are possible on light targets - sorcs being favorite victims. 5-6k smashes are most common. For exampe trying to smash tanks is waste of smash - 2-3k smash :cry:

  11. Actually to add a bit spice here, after 2.0 it happens that you simply cant kill anyone more often than not. Smasher cant smash often enough to burst target. You end up smashing and smashing and smashing for 15 mins and...zzzzzz 300 - 600 k dmg, total 7 kills, while darn healers have 1m+ heals. Its frustrating. And those 7 kills is when pug team managed to focus the target and smash was ready and hit and managed to break thru last 5-7k hp before healer reacted.
  12. Smashers can't smash all the time for 9k .Smash has build up issues. Targets with high armor and cds reduce dmg a lot. Smashed a tank plenty of time for only 2.5k - it comes to that that I avoid attacking anything with heavy armor. Go make a smasher and try playing pfffs
  13. OK nerf Revan : - ) Some interesting storries here, would really like new KOTOR game.
  14. BH takes like 15-20 min with heroic - really easy to find 4 random ppl, and i check the money.. get mostly around 80k $$ , with nice drops you can get a bit more. Easy money, smallest area, use legacy travel to BH, do quests, qt back to console, fleet pass to go back to fleet. Ilum is nice also, good rewards. Section X takes just too long, best to skip some quests.

    I thought it was nerfed, it seemed so. Don't play pvp for leveling its way too slow. Go and do quests and kill lots of elite monsters fast.
  16. OK another side of the story. i feel my smasher is now weak. He dies easily, since you need him to be in melee range. There are zillions of roots, stuns and knocbacks. Not to mention stealth and force speed and bubbles. He can smash anywhere between 2.5k - 8.5k (optimized smashers do a bit more even on light targets), try smashing a tank, you need a minute to kill him. You cant smash 8k on armored targets. He cant smash often enough to kill easily anyone with 25k+ hp (and now most people are getting 25k+ hp). Killing decent healer is very hard. Two healers, you will never kill them forget it.. Guarded target - forget it. I was thinking about changing my spec after the patch.. My brothers sorcerers has aoe that does 3k-6k criticals, and its ranged skill. So that 500% advantage talk is bull. Assasins can hit for 10k, snipers close etc...

In your case you should bump defense at the expense of shield/apsorb points.
  18. 1. Improve your gear, try to do ops atleast first 2 bosses for weekly, do corelia and section x weeklies and GF HM and you will be full black hole. If you can make loads of money (or have mats) buy armoring 27 and mod 27 (or send mats someone to craft it for you) and make yourself orange belt and bracer. Take WH or EWH PvP relics with 113/120 power - these are beast for dps in PvE and are easy to get. 2. go look for some parses for dps for your class/build to check rotations - see if you can improve dps. 3. analyze you skill build again, did you put talent points in some skills you very rarely use? gl
  19. 1. Because you make life miserable for us: if focused with slows, cripples, stuns we have no choice but to attack you or crawl and die miserably 2. Good sorcs just melt sentinels/maras (and everyone else) - give them few seconds to shoot at you and you are dead. 3. You have light armor and we like bit crits - sorcs are good for farming medals Summary: You are annoying and powerful, but fragile. Logic: Eliminate strong but fragile targets first.
  20. I've done it yesterday with my guildmates in 30ish minutes. I had tionese Guardian tank, they were all well geared - mostly BH. I died once at robot boss at the end - but they did manage to finish him off. Died one more time stupidly at trash mobs. One of the members was Jedi Sentinel so I got 2-3 columi items and Rakata Chest at the end. Quite fast run, got lots of good gear = LI HM is great HM.
