  1. Yes, I criticized you, because you’re an absolute idiot for demanding Bioware to add stealth, mitigation, and healing to the sniper class. You chose to cry, moan and throw a wobbler, because you cannot compete in PVP. Yes, I know which companion I am currently using for farming and I have no trouble accomplishing tasks using any companion, but if you took more than 2 seconds to read the entire post you would realize that I want opinions from other people who may have discovered a more efficient method of farming using a diff companion. Its common sense. I now understand why you are so frustrated. A lot of this is beyond you.
  2. I want to be able to farm dailies on Makeb, Oricon, and CZ-198 as fast and successful as possible. What companion class role would be best suited for this? Doc Healer? SCROPIO TANK? Maybe Treek as a healer or a tank?
  3. @ OP, So you suck at playing a sniper and you want the devs to make snipers idiot proof. How wonderful for you. Healing, stealth capability…why not just add flying, extra damage, and extra mitigation with that. I don’t think SWTOR is for you. Your skill set is more geared towards Tic-Tac-Toe or maybe Candyland.
  4. @ OP, Horrible, Horrible post. This is not said lightly: you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about. You don’t feel like playing the sniper? Fine, don’t. While you’re at it you can possibly stop spamming posts like this.
  5. Which type of gear has the set bonus w/ 69 Armorings? Do you mean the lvl 50 classic comms gear? How does a set bonus work? You can rip out all, but the armoring and you can still keep the set bonus stats? Or can the armorings from set piece gear be ripped out and put into other pieces to effectively get the set bonus?
  6. I want to start Tanking SM Operations, but I don’t want to start until I’m prepared. What is a decent benchmark of gear that I will need to start Tanking SMs? The average item level of my current gear is probably 162. I purchased all of the Elite com pieces that don’t have Alacrity in them. The rest of my gear is made up of ½ drops from HM FPs and ½ basic comms purchases. To improve my gear and start earning Ultimate comms, what is the best course of action? Should I farm more Elite Comms and rip out alacrity mods for the basic comm mods? Should I farm credits and buy mods and implants/Ear/Relics? Should I PUG the easiest SMs? Also – Is there a site that is good for learning the strats for Operation Bosses?
  7. Whats the most effective way to gear up for OPs then?
  8. I have a full set of the tanking gear purchased with Basic comms. I’m just now starting to break into the gear purchased with Elite comms. To my surprise both sets have Alacrity on them. Why does the Elite comms tanking gear have alacrity? Am I missing something? How can I get the gear needed to start running Ops if I purchase the Elite set? Do I have to pull out item mods and swap them with play made ones? Are the player made mods at the same item level as the Elite?
  9. What is the best method to grind Legacy experience? My buddy has a higher legacy level than me, but I have more characters that are higher level. I have done way more Ops, but he has done more dailies. I’m trying to figure out the formula for maximum legacy experience gain.
  10. Snipers are not the only ones that have access to Orbital Strike. The intent of the nerf was to reduce the DPS output of Healing specced Operatives, normalize DPS specced Operatives (with the addition of buffs to that spec line), and slightly reduce Sniper DPS or force spec points to spent elsewhere. I don’t think this was achieved, but that was the intent.
  11. I think it might be interesting and dynamic if SWTOR broke away from the standard trinity (Tank, Heal, DPS) and added a 4th role. A Buffing/Debuffing/Crowd Control/Hybred support role. This new AC could spec pure DPS (like all other ACs can) or spec in the support role where their personal DPS would be stronger than tanks and healers, but less than DPSers. Their benefits would be group/raid wide through strong temporary buffs as well as debuffs and CC on adds. Obviously the content now would render them useless, but future content of the new Expansion could be designed around having this 4th role. I also would like to see a pure DPS AC added to the Inquisitor/Consular and Bounty Hunter/Trooper classes. So the breakdown of added ACs for the upcoming xpac might look something like this: IA / Smuggler Support AC with a DPS tree, heavy buff/survivability tree, and a CC / debuff tree. This AC would be stronger at buffing, off heals and general survivability than the other support AC. Special perks would include Group stealth, Health transfer (in an emergency sacrifice own health to dying teammate), AE instant battle res, long term Stat boosts, in combat group teleport, Threat boost/decrease, group in-combat turbo speed boosts. Warrior / Kinght Support AC with a DPS tree, Strong debuff tree, and a CC/buffing tree. This AC would be stronger at debuffing Bosses than the other support AC. Special perks would be slowing the attack speed, multiple fast refreshing interrupts, stat debuffs, Boss usable knockdown/stuns, temporary group/raid wide DPS boosts, long lasting “mes” cc. Inquisitor / Consular Pure DPS AC BH / Trooper Pure DPS AC
  12. What is the fastest method of gaining experience? Solo planet quests, Space missions, or Flashpoint grinding?
  13. I’m a returning player and I’m excited to roll a fresh tank class. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to try each class. I’m hoping the answers to the questions below will help my decision process. 1) Which Tank can generate the highest threat on a single target? 2) Which Tank can generate the highest threat on multiple targets? 3) Which Tank class is easier to keep alive by healer(s)? 4) Which Tank is most commonly preferred for MT of Raids? 5) Which Tank has the highest DPS potential when specced for DPS? 6) Are any of the 3 disproportionally gimped at Tanking? Disclaimer: I understand that it’s about the skill of the player more so than the class choice. I also understand the concept of “play what you like”.
  14. You weren't "told" anything remotely related to this topic. I can see where you are gonig with this. In WOW (yes, its obvious you're a WOW fanboi), it was an advantage to use 2h over dual wield. The mechanics of this game is completely different in terms of burst. So you thought that you would just blame some random person for telling you this lame theory rather than admit you are trying to compare this to WOW.
  15. For a heal specced Operative which is a better item? http://www.torhead.com/item/gMZJYGo/the-cloaked-eliminator or http://www.torhead.com/item/hxO18vn/project-claw
