so I want to thank everyone for their input on building a better tank. As suggested I dropped my over all HP to around 37K and increased defense chance to 21% Shield to 33% and ABS to 34% still mostly 69 with some 72 (tank shadow) we'll see how it pans out, looking forward to seeing you out there!!

lol, that's ok it may not work but its giving me 32 STR and 20 END with the augs currently i believe i'n at 1182-1464 damage and 840 bonus damage (this is by memory) i could do all defense augs and see how that shakes out

yeah, im playing around, i craft the augs so it's not a big credit drain or anything, I have all augments available at 66 so I'll trade stuff out if it's not working. I've just done it so I'll run a couple of missions and OPS see how it goes

original post With 14 slots, you could try 6 Defense rating, 6 Absorption Rating, & 2 Endurance, since Shield Chance is much easier to boost with mods & skill tree perks than its ability to absorb. But even then, you may want to just do STR Augs instead of Endurance. You get more damage, which helps generate threat as a Tank, & they still give you +20 Endurance each. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- actually this is what i did, I put in all might augs, so my damage dealt certainly increased, i'd be interested to know if the additional damage done off sets any defense deficits.

Have you played DAO? I suspect that you haven't or at least didn't understand it. This is an example of BW at it's best in the story telling mode regardless if you like or dislike the genere. As for NW i would also disagree and remember that game goes back a few years so there is an evolution that needs to be taken into account. I've played all BW games going back to Baldur's Gate and i can sate subjectively that yes there are good games and great games. But I can't say that there are any bad games (even DA2 which did have some merits)

I see, thanks, this gives a good cross reference of what's out there and to what audiences these play too. I'll never leave SWTOR and I will blindly give them my money, but it has whet my appetite and i would like to explore other options just to get a feel and appreciate the game that I am playing

But just casually reading some posts i see these phrases come up so it got me wondering what's a AAA MMO if this is not one then what is?

Out of curiosity and perhaps naiveté I'm not sure why phrases like 'a solid B' or 'middle of the road MMO' are bantered about. What and who are the AAA MMOs out there. I've tried the F2P versions of WOW RIFT and Star Trek and honestly couldn't continue as i found it pretty boring with really no story aspects (but then again isn't that kinda makes an MMO) so if someone could direct me to a AAA MMO that i could experience the difference to be sure I'm spending my entertainment $$ wisely would be greatly appreciated !

Absolutely! this is exactly the way i feel, i'm not an MMoer, as this is my first one,(though i did the free trial of RIFT and WOW) the 2 things that got me were the Story and the SW universe, I've had a great time playing, almost at end game, will give it a break for a while then play the empire

So do I, but it's like going to the movies or watching the TV but you can make the decisions that affect the outcome. For me this is what I paid for.
