cleverly worded. its ok, i already cancelled my sub. GW2 will come out at some point.. hopefully that won't be as big of a dissapointment. One day, blizz will come out with a new, truly revolutionary mmo that will, once again, set the bar for years to come
until that day... guess i'll go buy uncharted 3 or something

You already bought the game, if you dislike it so much then cut your losses and go - making this thread is going to do nothing but attract negative attention to yourself.
actually i'm kind of hoping the massive amount of negative threads will do a couple things:
- cause bioware to get off their asses and do something about it
- cause potential subscribers to turn-tail and run upon viewing the forums

i wish there was other types of multiplayer games that werent cod4... sigh. none of them are really that fun
edit: above poster... COOL! lets ship it without the space combat! Can we put that on the backburner while you work on ... i dunnoo.. functional UI's? Server lag in warzones? Animations causing skills to not work?
ya know, piddly stuff. But nahhh its cool that your skills dont work and the server lags! Go play a tunnel-shooter single player minigame! That'll be fun right??

this game took X amount of money to create
they made Y selling the actual game itself
they are going to make Z on subs
Y being where the huge chunk of profit is, means they can take server maintenance and other employees down to a skeleton crew and hemorrhage subs due to being an awful game, and still have made a disgusting profit. They will see a drop-off in Z profits, but that will be off-set by cutting back on game support and development. Face it fellas: this game was abandoned by the devs before it started.

Because its the only one where it is profitable to do so while you pay $15 for every month you spend waiting for the game to actually be playable.

other 2 posters: games have bugs, sure but come on. you are part of the problem, you expect the bugs, and don't expect any better. it's sad
the GTM is NOT fine. drop-down menus are LAME. wow, a game that came out in 2004 has a SEARCH bar... magical! But not in sw:tor! That'd just be too much to ask of a "next-gen" mmo
oh yea.. in my OP i meant large scale PvP as in like 40v40 crashes servers in SW:TOR. that's pretty crummy.

it's not that great to be honest. my character says several stock answers depending upon the choice i choose:
"i dont need to hear this!"
"havoc squad gets the job done!"
"time for you to see how a professional gets things done!"
ad nauseum.
Oh, and every single quest that isnt a main quest boils down to "those damn space-boars stole my {insert future technology here} i need you to go get 'em back!!!"
quest: kill 10 space-boars, and bring 5 space-boar tusks back. Bonus: kill 100 billion space-boar champions.
BLAH! New MMO please!

Why is this? I didn't buy batman: arkham city and he was missing his grappling hook, but "nah its ok, it'll be playable in about a year.. just give it time!!"
What is with that? Yeah yeah, class balance issues... that's fine. But come on, large scale pvp crashing servers? Unusable GTM? Constant server lag and sharding? This is the kind of stuff that'd make any other genre of game get universally panned by critics and gamers alike. But in MMO's? Its expected.

Pls remind me what is so epic about zerging around with immense lag, spamming your two best aoe abilities for maximum effect reducing your char to spambot ignoring 90% of your abilities?

If anything I hope this game will never be able to handle that kind of playstyle.equates to: "i don't like driving fast, so they should install a 60mph gov on EVERYONE's car"

Where is the place where duellers hang out? I can't think of any good and convenient place where people who are actually willing to duel will be hangin out.

yeah, i guess you're right. also explains why 90% of people decline my duel requests.
anyways, where is the "dueling area" where all the duelers will hang out? i dont think there is one!

who cares? laggy controls, horrible UI makes the pvp unplayable no matter how unbalanced X class is or how bad the bracket system is

bioware... please i beg of you! i'm so tired of wow and i dont want to play call of duty or something while waiting for blizzard's next mmo!
fix it... just make your game perform as if it came out in the year 2011. I am sure we'd all greatly appreciate it
and even though these carebears can't see the forest for the trees, they would feel the increased performance of their controls and UI. THEN we can start working on class balance.

they know about alot of the problems. when there is multiple 5000-reply threads, it kind of gets the point across.
if devs ignore the forums and the community, then this game will fail. simple as that.

i know.. in the back of my mind i just know bioware probably won't fix it. they'll just throw some more frosting on the crap-cake that pvp currently is.
dang it i REALLY want this to be a successful game but i kinda just don't see it..

On the imperial side, you should only be playing a human. Consider yourself lucky you got access to red skinned humanoids at all.

bounty hunter's arent technically alligned with the imperial military, they just kind of work on their side. sith force-users are in the same boat, they are sith first and empire second, so they SHOULD be able to be any number of force sensitive races
imperial agents are the only ones that are IN the empire's military and in the storyline... they are all human. So that, i would understand.
I want Ithorians as a playable race, NOW!

To summarize: *** there's so many cool races and I only get to be a human with facial makeup? *** is this, star trek: the old republic??!
