  1. I haven't had a chance to check out the other crafting skills just yet, but, this can still serve as a point of reference for Biochem itself. If they all need to be fixed, and share the similar structure, then good.
  2. I'm sorry, a suggestion towards the statistically highest selling point of ANYTHING media related invoked your type of response?
  3. I thought that the cover was really cool in reference to taking NO damage from many basic ranged attacks. I actually sat behind cover once in Hard Mode FE and tanked 3 Elite Droids taking Zero damage while my entire group ran back to kill them. It makes me wonder if Snipers / Gunslingers are considered "range off-tanks." Other than that, though, the mobility issue does seem to throw a wrench in the mix.
  4. I actually had a lot of difficulty getting my subscription for the first month to go through. First my card was denied, then paypal didn't go through and charged it on my account, then the next day my card went through after bank calling / swtor calling and I had to wait a week to get the original charge to my account refunded. If it weren't for the fact that I was very patient about it, I would have just gave up and played something different.
  5. Do you have anything constructive to say about the thread topic?
  6. *First I want to acknowledge that Biochem is a very useful crafting skill and that the nerfs to it were very welcome because it did seem a bit overpowered. The main issue with Biochem at the moment is that the crafting needs are very unbalanced. I have found that at every tier past 1 (2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) there is always a sort of "trash mat" that isn't used enough in the crafting process. Particularly where it matters the most, 5 and 6, there are a LOT of Grade 5 Nutrient Gel, Grade 5 Parasitic Microrganism, and Grade 6 Immunity Cell Culture that aren't used enough for crafting. Also, Grade 5 Missions for Bioanalyses are littered with a lot of "Hypo-syrngs / Medkits" and "Implant parts," making it extremely difficult to gather the proper materials. (Also Grade 5 Bioanalyses Crafting Missions are very rare.) Grade 5 Red Goo, Grade 5 Quick-Growth Agent, Grade 6 Mutagenic Paste, and Grade 6 Neurochemical Extract are the main ingredients that are missing or sought after in the crafting process. I don't mind something being difficult to get because that inherently increases the value of an item or craft, however, the main issue is having giant stockpiles of unneeded materials for crafting that get used so little that they might as well be considered non-usable. If this is a design intention to deter farming only through crew skill missions without being in the field, then that is understandable, but there's still way too many of these "unneeded" nodes to the point where a player will skip them because its not worth the time to gather. My proposed solution to this could come in either one of three ways: 1. Better balance of material use of schematic. 2. Offer a sort of "trade-in" NPC vendor to make use of the mats by obtaining better ones. (Not recommended and/or temporary.) 3. Get rid of Implant Parts, Medkits, and Hypo-sryngs crafting missions for Grade 5 Bioanalyses. This may be my opinion, but more importantly, how does the SWTOR community feel about the current use of these materials?
  7. My key bindings are: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 q e z v ` g x F1 F2 F3 F4 So pretty much 18 key bindings, and the rest are 1.5min+ CD's or abilities I just don't use because they're designed for a different talent tree or pvp related.
  8. Couple points to start out with: This is not a game-flame post. This is my first MMO Launch gameplay. I'm aware that system spec compatibility can be a sort of lottery. Operating System: Windows Vista 64-bit CPU Type: AMD Phenom 9750 Quad-Core Processor CPU Speed: 2.7 GHz System Memory: 8GB Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series Drivers Updated: 12/13/2011 Video Card Memory: 1GB So we know that my computer is slightly above the recommended system specs, however, I am running Vista instead of Windows 7. CONS: As you can see, I'm using an ATI card. This automatically turns into "Run Graphics in Optimal Performance" > Run Game on Minimum Graphics With Everything Off > Run Game on Lowest Resolution to achieve 40 FPS in very low-texture areas and 5 FPS in a hub with more than 100 people. We already know that it's more of an issue with the card, not the game developers .. ? At least that's what I've heard. TLDR of above: The game operates much slower than what I'm used to and I get that it's not entirely Bioware's fault. Now that that's out of the way, a few other major issues: Skill Activation Delay (Possibly due to system spec compatibility) Entering Combat Delay (From Speeder and Etc) Loading Screen Time Sinks (Possibly due to system spec compatibility) Lack of Macro's for Skills (Relic's, ATK / DEF Cooldown's, Etc. This is more of a preference than a major issue) Zero % Ability to do PVP (Due to overall game slowdown and everything mentioned above.) General Post 50 Flashpoint&Ops Bugs (Considerable Boss Mechanic issues such as wiping once and getting no loot, entering a room and instantly dieing in Hutt Hospitality, Etc) TLDR of above: A lot of tiny things make one big problem in the ability to play the game. PROS: The game had enough content to satisfy me for 3 1/2 weeks as far as maxing a character pre-50. (This is more of a pro since a game like Skyrim only really occupied me for about 2 weeks.. Bad comparison maybe because this is an MMO, but if I speak for "games" in general it fits.) I have to say this in caps .. SPACE MISSIONS WERE THE BOMB. Felt like Star Fox but Not, But still Great. I would do every one of them for 2 weeks straight as I leveled and got new ones. Leveling from 1 to 50 was -very- enjoyable, albeit so far the best part of this game. The class missions certainly captivate its audience in a larger than life scenario and appeal to that feeling of epic. The crew skills and companion grind was entertaining and a great example of rewarding time investment. (Affection grind, mission/gather grind, Light/Dark grind, and RE Green > Blue > Purple grind.) The use of a 30mcd Quick Travel to quest hubs you've visited and a "Return to Fleet" was a gratifying convenience. Datacron hunting is a unique time sink unfamiliar to other MMO's that offers a "For One To Max Oneself" reward for time spent. TLDR of above: I've had fun for 3 1/2 weeks. Moving Forward: I'm left with little options at this point. Obviously there's credits to be made with crew skills, but I've already obtained an epic in every slot outside flashpoints&ops (the one's besides BT are too riddled with activation delay and bugs for me to do on this computer.) Also, I'm not a fan of vanity-based money-sinks. Making credits at this point would just be for future PVE or PVP expenditures. There's still datacrons out there to hunt. Yes, there is that, however, it's inevitable limit is the same as 1 to 50, and not quite as fun. Reroll to try out 7 of the other class missions and stories. See, I tried this and I was having a LOT of fun until I finished Korriban on my Sith Inquistor alt, and went to Dramund Kaas and was bored again. I don't fault a major release like this for not having different leveling routes outside of being a different faction, but it is what it is. Sry. Conclusion: What I really want to do is stop playing and cancel my subscription at the end of the month, and /wait/ until MANY of the cons have been resolved. However, this defeats the purpose of how an MMO succeeds because my attention needs to be captivated long enough for the subscriptions to endorse its fixes. So. Any constructive feedback is appreciated. If there's anyone who can show me how to enjoy this game more than my limits have taken me with its issues, it would be the SWTOR community. Thanks for reading.
  9. You realize that it doesn't cost anything to make an account on the forums right? I'm just saying.. But, we'll make sure to Good Job keep up making you laugh. "Lol." While carring.
  10. Cars can be test driven. Learn to deal with reality. "Just a game" that uses up my REAL money and REAL time. You sound like a 40 year old mom with a (What you think is a deadbeat) husband holding 3 babies in your arms complaining to him because he doesn't spend enough time with you after a 16hour shift at "insert town" industries. You're no different than anyone else complaining about the current situation because you are, in fact, COMPLAINING about people complaining. Good job at life.
