    Just pointing out that there are several other melee classes. None of them have anything close to the defenses marauders have in numbers of CDs or magnitude of those. So by your logic what saves them than, being glass cannons (by your logic) more often? Just pointing out the flaws in your argumentation

I enjoy reading your posts But since I need to stay on topic here: You are bad! @OP, while I agree with the point that insults alone are only the arguments of those who have none, the L2P on the forums is often used when people demonstrate that they have not spend any time with trying to find construcive ways to deal with their problem (usually being killed by someone). Nonconstructive posts like "nerf xyz, they are so op" are just tiresome and the majority of the forums warms up old "arguments" without making the effort to read what was already posted in that matter, often not even informing themselves about the class/spec they want nerfed. In those cases being bad stands not necessarily for the skill level alone but also for failing to inform oneself about the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent. You can probably substitute "You are too lazy" for you are bad. Also what evidence? Beside scripts that have parsed the server logs from BW you can seldom get evidence on the topics (example is the thread KBISP mentioned). Anecdotal evidence like "Pyros dealing 10k rs crits" etc? You should probably also refrain from insulting people like you did in the first line. As what you said means more or less the same as what you said we shouldn't say? Just you are taking your statement into real life. You have no evidence about the people you are insulting, no claim to your stakes and a few latin words are not exactly rocket science level either
  3. We can fulfill the tank ROLE or the dps ROLE. We are not a tank CLASS. The sorc is not a healer CLASS either. If we spec in the tank TREE to fullfill our tank ROLE we do not deal the DAMAGE you are complaining about.

    Its not a tank class. Same as OPs are not a heal class. They have a tank spec, and a dps spec. You might want to read the "roles" in the advanced class selection. Its even listed there. Class Role: Tank, Damage. But what shall I talk to someone who doesn't even know what a class is.

    Someone who calls Pyro pts tanks shouldn't call anyone a noob. Someone who says marauders can't dish out AoE damage (hint: try focus equivalent) shouldn't tell anyone l2p.
  6. No class in this game is hard to play. Concealment ops and healing sorcs would be harder than the rest but still not something that requires a degree in rocket science.
  7. The OP mentioned TD in the first post. That means he went against a pyro. So yes your mentioning of tactics hits is in the wrong place What you listed are two GCDs. And someone must put up a dot on him so one of the two pyros needs 3 GCDs. 3 GCDs in a 2on1 against 2 burst classes sounds not that weird for me.

Next we complain that force users have force attacks? Beside listing heavy armor as an advantage this thread has a high entertainment value. KBISP tried it with logic, that failed as always when faced with uninformed ranters.
  9. Yes it is hard to see what is changed if he lives double or trice as long as he originally stated. And adds bits of information about the fight as he seems to "remember" them. To discuss something you need a base. There is no base provided by the OP but gross exxageration and missleading informations. Oh and in your language: lol... Yes everyone knows it... that pyros have great offense and no defense to speak of. lol... Thanks for providing another prime example of the people who think pyros are OP and base it around... many lols and not a single fact or argument. Tiresome.

Btw as several people have already said, you contradicted yourself countless times in this thread (regard the post quoted and the opener alone, in the OP you saw 2 pyros, later the 2nd one became visible only later). To sum it up since you said you expefcted to die- well you did. And not in the 1 GCD you claimed but like you admitted in probably 3. So what is the point of this thread? Sorry but your way of presenting the subjact has made you very unbelievable. Adding informations on the fly and contradicting yourself. Now lets see, if you'd titled the thread "2 pyros killed me in 7 seconds"- what you admitted in the quoted post. Yes thats not much of a catcher. Yellow press mentality.

  12. The aoe stun triggers a gcd... So again you get more time to act during the animation of kb, even if he leaps back, than the pt gets. I also never said the kb does stun. Read what I write pls. Also why do you compare stun with stun, like I said the single target stun is the same, and the kb is actually more powerful if used correctly in almost all situations. Whatever.
  13. Yah and being forced into them without any chance to avoid them is great tactic? Every army tries to avoid bottlenecks- for the reason you mentioned. Unforntinately there now is no alternative.
  14. 100% snare if they spam IP. Snare has like you said 2s duration. Merc has the same long duration stun and his knockback for the 2 sec stun (which triggers a GCD as well). Which generates you more time, the 2sec stun or the kb? And for what does a range class need a gap closer? Also both your ap numbers are wrong. Its not simple additive.The merc also can reset his RS from 30m. The classes have two different concepts, pt is melee-mid range and commando ist at range.

  17. *shrug* stockstrike (highest % to reset hip) and our interrupt require melee range. Most of the time pyros are between 4-10m. If they are on a caster (not a slinger) they are in melee for the interrupts. Also PTs and AoE? Not really, DFA was nerfed with the change last patch, if you stand in the PC of a pyro... well same as if I stand in a ravage though that one hurts more. Explosive surge is good for interrupting caps, but the 1,3k crits won't scratch anything. But not derailing the thread anymore.
  18. 31% heavy armor, 25-26% medium armor. Check your own defense tab maybe? We are talking about pyros not running ion cell.
  19. Afaik guarded damage is not migrated a 2nd time. Thats what I always thought atleast. I'm willing to learn otherwise
  20. Like posted before 5-6% on 2 damage types *edit* Before someone starts it, I don't think marauders should be nerfed. I'm just pointing out the fact they have different strengths than - for example- pyros who have their strong offense but a lack of defense to make up for it.

  22. I agree with you but I want that bunnytroll please? Heavy armor? I mean c'mon those 5-6% more mig on 2 damage types (compared to med armor) are really a game breaker. On my server we still have a felt quadrillion of marauders (its weird, on rep side we have an abundance of... guardians) running amok. Though snipers/slingers are gaining in numbers. Pyros/vanguards are mostly running shield builds (aka pvelers who just drop in from time to time) and not in big numbers. *edit* Pure pyro spec is not a hybrid spec. They can fullfill different roles if different traited, but if you compare a dps spec with a dps spec you don't compare apples with oranges. Otherwise you couldn't compare a single class with another. Not a single one. (example, op healer with sorc healer? Naaah, one is a stealth melee class with heals, the other is a ranged class with heals).
  23. PvP, Assault spec. 1. Others think it is OP. 2. The strength of the spec is the burst damage, the weakness the defense. In ranked it gets focussed pretty quickly so its a fair trade. Though I'd like a bit more varity in the "burst rotation".
  24. I pop my guard onto good players who make the most of it. That is usually not the healer in PUG games. Like someone said guard is a two way deal. If we guard you and get killed all the time without recieving any heals we probably won't do it a second time. Also not only the tank has to pay attention to where the healer is, but the healer has to position himself smartly as well. Guard is a teamwork ability that requires the healer and the tank to work together. That is seldom the case in PUG games. Also it is not static, good tanks switch guards according to the situation actively.
  25. For ops and shadows it certainly is not overpowered- it is one of their few defensive CDs. Specially ops need it as stealth is their only gap closer so the ability to enter it in combat is vital. For marauders/sents its arguable as they already have a gap closer and tons of defensive CDs.
