  1. If you play Watchmen go Power. It increases all damage more including DoTs and with that spec you have 100% Crit up at all times.
  2. This is a great idea as well as possible reducing Resolute's CD to 1min rather than 2min.
  3. Just wait till the DPS meters come out, wait isn't the damage meter in WZ's a good indicator of this? I don't PvE at all and don't plan to ever but I will continue to use Watchmen over any of the others specs because my feelings say it is the best for PvP. If we put two equal skilled and geared players in a WZ's where they just went for damage I am willing to bet that Watchmen would win every time. You saying Watchmen isn't what everyone thinks it is yet every Sentinel that I see that does any good in WZ's uses this spec. Also to top that off Watchmen isn't doing the damage it suppose to right now so go ahead and add 30% extra damage to the DoTs that crit
  4. This is not true at all Watchmen you don't stand still any. Actually I rarely use Master Strike as Watchmen because I have my main rotation up at all times. Combat tree has Master Strike built into it, read the skill descriptions. To my experience from my server Combat Sentinels don't do very well in WZ's. In fact most Combat Sentinels have switched specs.
  5. It's amazing to me how people think one root is the answer to everything in PvP that root means nothing. Half the time it doesn't work this goes for Master Strikes root as well (have videos to prove both skills). If Combat actually worked like it was suppose to then it might be worth using. I personally hated the spec, put up bad numbers in WZ's and just flat out did terrible. Once I switched to Watchmen I'm hitting 400k-500k damage in most WZ's with or without a healer. You might be right Combat has a high burst but Watchmen will out damage it within 10secs of starting the fight.
  6. Disgusting with the propaganda? Really, what propaganda are you talking about? The ability to heal the entire party 10%, the interrupts, the massive bursts of damage, the sustained damage (yes it has both), camo being 100% damage reduction, and to top that off not all of the Watchmen Tree skills are working like they are suppose to so the DoTs that crit will be gaining an extra 30% damage increase!! Most Sentinels that I see that put up 400k damage are Watchmen and along with that damage are getting over 75k healed. I didn't like the looks of the spec didn't think I would like the playstyle either. I was to the point with the class that I didn't want to play it anymore until I tried Watchmen. Not sure why you are hating on a spec that really does awesome damage/heals/interrupts. I understand that not everyone will like it but that is no reason to down it. I agree that it is the hardest tree to manage but that doesn't mean it is a bad thing. Just means it takes more skill to play. What I mean by skill is you must know the rotation and the abilities very well so you can adjust to any situation.
  7. This is wrong, I can debate you and physically prove you wrong on this. Watchmen tree looks like a laid back tree with the longer the fight goes on the better damage but this isn't true at all. My DoTs when they crit and the initial ability damage will do more damage in 6secs than any other spec (except for the one hitter quiter of Focus). I hit 4.5k regularly with Merciless Slash that's included in the 6secs of DoTs. A Watchmen Sentinel can out damage any other spec within 6secs of starting the fight. Watchmen should be a glass cannon but we have the damage and the defensive buffs to go along with it as well as some heals. For instance Leap(600dmg),Overload in air(600 dmg that stacks 3 times), Zealous Strike(700dmg), Cauterize(700 dmg plus 875 dmg over 6secs), Merciless Strike (2500dmg which can also reset Cauterize CD). Not to mention 10% health regeneration from the DoTs. At a bare minimum that's almost 7200 dmg within the first 8secs of fighting. That's not counting buffs or crits. We add those in there and you can beef up the numbers almost double and that's insane. Especially once you add in Expertise, things get real. I felt this same way prior to switching to Watchmen but now I wouldn't go back to any other spec especially since the extra 30% of crit damage that we are suppose to get doesn't actually happen atm and is being fixed.
  8. I agree cause right now the offhand is just for stats. I did the 3 points into combat tree just to get the offhand damage boost but still this isn't enough. I don't know why we don't get full damage from it?
  9. Alright you say its not possible to have the full set the same day you hit 50. Yes it is and I will show you how. I agree it is very unlikely and the statistics/RNG are against you but it is possible. Hit 50 with 1000/1000 and already one champion bag purchased. That's 6 bags. Do your new dailies/weeklies that's 8 bags. So you get a total of 14 bags for the day and you need 14 pieces of gear (counting relics and two weapons). You have 14 bags and if you are lucky you gut the full set. So yes it is possible just very unlikely.
  10. Well when someone likes to argue about the aesthetics of the "2" they obviously could care less of the issue at hand and just want to argue about issues that are pointless. There is no solution to the RNG, Bioware should of never did this. PvP gear is no longer worked for only looted which gives some people the best gear and others nothing. I agree the system is trash and needs to be changed but that isn't what the argument was over. With that being said the BM bags are fixed now where this doesn't cause any issues. Back on topic of the RNG, you can get gear with or without RNG. Get the tier 1 gear it isn't nearly as good but if you can play your class you can still beat people (this is the issue that most people are running into because they haven't learned their class and the others enough yet and are getting rolled). I bought almost every piece of the tier 1 before getting 90% of the tier 2 set. That is from moderate amount of playing time a week. I get my dailies done everyday and maybe a champion bag from the vender every other day. If you don't get the tier 2 gear like you want buy the tier 1. So yes the gear takes literally no time to get. People have the tier 3 gear not even a month after release and you are telling me gear is hard to get... Seriously think about that and you are arguing with me about this. Hitting max level on a game the second day of release and max gear not even a month after release makes me think something is wrong here. Heck if life was this easy we would all be billionaires but at that point it would mean nothing. Also I have started decking my companions out in PvP gear some tier 1 and others tier 2...
  11. There are healing debuffs (PvP Trauma and a Sentinel skill), chain stuns, long lasting CC's, resources are easy to run out of (that's not bad management on my part either considering I have to auto attack to build focus = no damage/GCD), and the interrupts are pretty good. Of course this is coming from a Sentinel point of view but I know I have all of these things except for the long lasting CC's which I know I'm in most of the time.
  12. Although the grind in Aion for gear was hard it was worth it, people didn't complain or want it to be reduced. People were actually there to PvP and have fun. Everything in Aion was a grind to be honest it was x15 times harder than this game and is an insult to even compare the two. If people from this game were made to play Aion for a bit then come back they would realize just how easy this game actually is.
  13. Disagree with everyone one of your points here. You are crying over gear that takes literally no time to get. Anyone that has PvP gear has not worked for it and that goes for myself. PvP in this game is a joke to get not sure why people are complaining about it. It is possible to hit 50 and the same day have every piece of the tier 2 gear... Enough said.
  14. Why do you want to play Sentinel if you don't want to dual wield? Play Guardian.
  15. This post is stupid, why would you get PVP gear if there is no bonus to it? Why else would PVP gear exist other than to give PVP bonuses? PVP isn't fair and shouldn't be fair, it's first come first sever in most situations. People grinded out PVP gear and deserve a bonus for that. In fact this gear is very easy to get so I don't see your problem here. I don't understand why casual PVPer's think they know everything and everything should be casual. PVP isn't casual, you can do it casually but you also suffer the fact that you will do bad due to skill/gear disadvantages. If there was no bonus for the gear people wouldn't get it. It is not a supplement to PVE raid gear, it is its own set of gear that has different purpose. It is so easy to get I don't know why you are complaining over this. Are you really trying to kill this game already? I mean seriously it is so messed up at the current time that the PVP crowd will likely quit after the first month. Now you are trying to slap them in the face again? Edit: If you really think this PVP boost given from the gear is a huge boost, you should try other games because honestly the boost given isn't that great. Sure it's a lot for this game but in general it's not.
  16. ToR PVP does suck, it is horrid and anyone that disagrees with this discuss with me how you think PVP at its current time is even "ok". I can understand if this is your first MMO but if you have played anything before you know darn well that this PVP system is an insult to MMO's.
  17. Good point. But this only helps with one tree and not all.
  18. Good point, but being an experienced PVPer I try and bait out their CC break. Therefore I leave them open for other skills that stun/CC them. Didn't realize other classes had more than one? Also when I say bait the skill I make sure they use it rather than just chain our CC skills so they can't break all at once.
  19. First off this guy is an idiot, sorry to be so blunt but I have seen multiple posts and he is ignorant and naive. The Sentinel class isn't so underpowered the problem is the game is broken. You can't deny this at least not at the current time. The sync and lag of the system in PVP is horrid. When you are 1m away and can't use abilities, because the system says one thing but means another. Like the person is actually 10m away rather than 1m. (I have a nice PC and good connection so its not on my end) When abilities and animations go off and set off the GCD yet no damage and no skill CD. This is huge! That wastes so much time, up to 6secs in total at times. I have video of this and if you haven't experienced it then you are lucky, that's all that can be said cause this messes up the entire rotation we are suppose to follow. We are suppose to use a strict DPS rotation that follows a chain of skills that can't really be chained together due to the prior issue. You might hit a chain of six skills and realize one or two didn't go off. Which could be bad, considering some skills set off buffs and other things. Heck that's bad all around. Something that is always gamebreaking at least to me is skills not doing what they are suppose to do. For example Combat Spec, Master Strike is suppose to immobilize the target, it doesn't! Also have videos of this. Force Stasis not stunning the target and them running around while the skill is being casted. Also more videos. These things are what is wrong with the class, not that the class is garbage. If these things can be fixed I would be a happy Sentinel just DPSing everything and everyone in sight, but until then it really exposes the bad job the developers did to create the game. One thing that is debatable about this class is why we don't have a constant run speed buff compared to other classes. We should be the fastest class in the game. We are melee DPS that is squishy, our job is to DPS but if we can't catch someone then its ease-mode for ranged. Yeah we have Leap/Camo but we shouldn't have to rely on skills. Most of you will probably disagree and that's understandable but still its something to think about. The system needs lots of work and is understandable considering its the first month after release. Once the system is fixed maybe the class can work.
  20. Focus is nice it gives the Sentinel some utility abilities but being a pure DPS class that shouldn't be our job. Seeing as other classes can do this much better.
  21. Combat could be an awesome spec if the game was set up different... The entire game built makes combat seem unless. I have tested out all three spec's and I like watchman the best. Seems to be the best in PVP (for ME). Focus was nice to with the utility abilities, but that isn't what our class is meant for. Combat has a awesome concept but the game itself does not allow for the spec to be played to potential. 1. The LAG 2. The Sync of the System 3. The UI 4. The GCD's are too long for a burst damage class The list can go on, Combat might be an awesome spec one day but for now it is trash. This is all my opinion of course and most won't agree it is just what I have found while playing the class.
  22. Master Strike root doesn't work, even combat specced, I have multiple videos to prove it Sure it is suppose to work....
  23. No, this isn't a L2P issue at all. I can play my Sent just fine, wreck in PVP, fully keybinded, and have no problems 1v1 or 2v1 even. The problem is that the class is weak, very weak. It's not burst damage as it is suppose to be on any spec. It's not the best damage dealer either. People will continue to deny this because it was nerfed during Beta testing. People complained so much and they nerfed the class. I understand this but when you do this it completely screws over the class. This happened to Assassins on Aion where they would wreck everything because the ability to stun lock targets to death (This games stuns are a joke.) They nerfed the class 6 months after release to where they are just squishy decent dps. That is what has happened here with this game, and its ridiculous. It will become the one of the most underplayed classes in the game while people will either reroll ranged or healing type classes because of how OP they can be. That's if they can still stand to play the game because being Sent we are able to see how horrible the PVP is do to the bad sync of the system. We depend on so much and when we can't trust what the system is telling us we are screwed. Also no healing class should be able to keep up the damage of straight DPS while still being able to heal, this should set off a lot of flags for people but no they would rather just play the ease mode OP class.
