  1. I wish that a single player's skill could carry a warzone, through everything you suggested, but you just can't. It depends entirely on who is premade, how many healers are on your team, and the skill of your teammates.
  2. Is this the last we'll see of the Dread Masters? They're cool and all, but I'm hoping we get some new villains soon!
  3. Eh, not really. It's more about how cool items are when they come out. The first wave of the cartel pack "sets" always seems to be the most profitable because it has entirely new items. The other packs of that set that come out over the next few months have new items still, but also have a lot of recolors or re-tweaked weapons. (For example, the primordial blaster this time around got a holo target added to it to make it more "tech-like") There's still going to be some big sellers this go around. Mira's armor, the new robes, and especially the sarlac pit (I've seen one obtained in 3 hypercrates that have been open among friends/etc.) are going to go for quite a bit.
  4. Since level 10 seems to be the, "I have questions" period, why not let that be the cap? Cuts out on spammers quite a bit since it takes at least 2 hours+change to get there.
  5. I can't believe they delayed it JUST BECAUSE of the 4th! How lazy is Bioware? BIOWARE, YOU ARE NOT PEOPLE! You do not get days off! You should especially work during weekends and at LEAST 20 hours a day! Remember, WORK FIRST, FAMILY SECOND, and REST THIRD. If I can stay up 18 hours a day you can too! Lazy holligans!
  6. Here's a few suggestions I have: -Upon reaching legacy level 50, a new toggle skill that allows double experience all the time. -FREE or GREATLY REDUCED cost of taking out armorings/mods/enhancements. I have a lot of alts and the majority of my credits goes straight to this. I would also buy a lot more of the cartel store outfits if it didn't cost so much to rip stuff out of current gear. -"Subscribers bag" every month. The bag would include: 10 fleet passes, 1,000 warzone coms, etc. Just something to show that it's unique.
  7. I suggest adding a voice-over in-game to go with some of the text pop ups. A lot of new players see these as spam and don't read them. If there was a non-optional, one-sentence voice telling you at level 10 "You should visit your fleet to choose your advanced class!" every level until they did so, it would help a lot.
  8. I liken it more to an anniversary gift. To celebrate how faithful your wife has been to you, she expects a special gift in return for all those wonderful years of marriage. You get her a Visa gift card. Is it thoughtful? Heck no. It's lazy. Is it still a gift? Yes, sure, but there's no reason why you should wonder why your wife is a little sad you didn't get her something thoughtful or take her out to eat on the big day. Also, I think a lot of us expected a PERMANENT, consistent reward. If you just throw 500 CC at us every once in awhile to appease us, that's not very encouraging. The only reason I recommend subbing to people is that it's the "best" option for having full access to the game until they stock up weekly passes. There's no... "AND" or "BUT YOU ALSO GET" that is particularly exciting to mention.
  9. You're in the minority because if CC wasn't working, it wouldn't exist. There's no reason to be upset, because an argument isn't there. I'm not complaining at all, I'm just telling it like it is. I didn't know that would bother you so much. Guess I'll /abandonthread now.
  10. You're in the extreme minority, so calling me crazy is a bit strange. I've been a sub since the launch of the game, and I spend cartel coins. I'm not rich enough to pay 10 million credits for the last cargo bay unlock, or 2 million for the ship GTN unlock, and NOBODY is. This is why the CC system is working for Bioware. "Damn it I want a GTN on my ship but the unlock is TWO MILLION CREDITS? That's stupid! Hey wait... I can just pay CC! That's a ton "easier"!" The global/character unlocks are just another part of the Cartel Store. You can use credits, but why would you want to when using real money is "easier"? I'm not saying it's a scam, because the purpose of legacy is transparent. It offers a real choice, sure, but the alternative to CC is so expensive that there's no reason to do anything else unless you happen to have a slew of credits laying around.
  11. Just an FYI, you're talking about aimed shot there. And it's actually more like 16k because of followthrough being used right afterwards. It's fantastically balanced.
  12. In all fairness they work the same way. Legacy levels and requiring a butt-load of credits or just using $2 worth of CC. The legacy system QUICKLY changed from something unique to a way to gate convenience in such a way that buying CC seems much more attractive than paying 10 million credits for that last cargo bay unlock. It's all overpriced so that you feel obligated that using CC is a "good deal" and buy more of them instead of the "valueless" credits.
  13. Well of course they want you to buy it with CC. Bioware is a business first in all situations.
  14. Even if your melee skills were "buffed", (Your TWO melee skills) you'd never use them. I can literally think of no spec that would want to use double-strike/auto attack over anything else. If you really want to get out of melee range then you aren't abusing the metric ton of CC sages have. If you really want to get into the "lore" then realize that your sage IS trained to use a saber, it's just that he's so proficient with the force he doesn't need to.
  15. It's a suggestion, not a complaint. It isn't holding me back from the game but as I said, it does limit my companion choices.
  16. Gear trooper companions is vastly easier than any other class. The reason for this is that EVERY companion uses the same stat as the main character, Aim/Endurance. Why is this exclusive to troopers? Sure, it may not make "sense" for a ranged dps companion to use willpower, but it's very beneficial to gearing the companion you want. So often I choose one companion over the other just because they use the same stats as me which makes them easy to give my hand-me-downs to.
  17. I'm just curious as to the technical reasons why Ashara has no body detail. If she equips anything that might show the least bit of skin she has this incredibly ugly gray bodysuit instead of natural skin.
  18. No, Revan-drone! You are not doing this right at all! Only I can!
  19. According to this thread, I must disagree. Your slippery slope reveals you to be nothing more than an entitled herbavoire snowflake sandwich.
  20. Eh, as someone with legacy 50 and no credits to spare, I'll be using CC.
  21. Step 1: Pick a side and a title for your thread. Anti-Bioware: Key words: "SUCKS", "disappointment", "fix", "now", "unsubscribed", "quit", "stupid", "Bioware", "To Bioware", "Dare Bioware", "tuna fish sandwich". Pro Bioware: "Thanks!", "haters ______ but....", "great", "why does everyone hate", "fan", "don't understand why people...", "just wanted to say", "Nicholas Cage". There is no in-between. You cannot be both a fan and disappointed with a certain aspect in the game. You must choose one. Step 2: Defend your post like a rabid wolverine. You must defend whatever you post. Responses must be 1-3 paragraphs minimum, using large phrases you learned from PHL 151 class. It doesn't even matter if you said the correct argument, calling someone's post a "red herring" or "strawman" will sound so impressive that they will bend to your will. Nobody is right. Remember this. Only you are right. If they think they are in the right, they are trolling. Proceed to call them thus. Against Pro Bioware keywords: "Rich", "rabid fanboy", "fanboy", Revan fanboy", "Bioware fanboy", "fan fanboy", "troll", "dumb", "hand-holding", "jelly". Against anit-Bioware keywords: "Special snowflake", "entitled", "troll", "downer", "why are you playing", "idiot", "easily swayed", "drone", "mindless", "herbivore". Remember, you don't have to know what it even means, as long as the words you use sound offensive enough to win the argument. You don't have to make sense, you just have to make someone angry. Step 3: Ensure the thread accomplishes nothing. Just when it looks like someone may agree with your point or that people are starting to get along, you must dig your feet in. You must keep the thread going on as long as possible to get the "last word". Above all else, every general discussion thread you make must accomplish nothing. It must be as offensive as possible, and you must pick a side. I hope this helps people new to GD who may be confused, good luck out there!
  22. Bioware hyped up subscriber benefits for a good while, and it was long suspected (especially hyped today) that there would be a special 10 CC item in the store. We got 500 CC and a title. Now, don't get me wrong here... these are nice rewards, but I think people expected far too much. Whether you can say it's Bioware's fault for trying to create excitement over these two announcements or not, they certainly don't deliver on the epic scale people expected. Something for the team to consider in the future is just how much more effective/less ticked off people might have been if this came out by a "pleasant surprise". The whole thing got so hyped that people were expecting a extraordinarily special/unique reward rather than just a reward. If this had simply came to be people would have thought it was a great gesture by Bioware instead of being dissapointed after waiting so long.
  23. Keep in mind Bioware is a business. If they make more money from the Cartel Store, why do they want to encourage people to sub? They have NO IDEA what to do for subscribers. They don't give a rip about someone paying $15 a month when people are buying $40 worth of cartel coins a day. They want you to get HOOKED on cartel coins so you're paying more money. They have no interest in saving you money or giving you benefits that will make you use less cartel coins. It's all about money, not the player, and they are doing whatever they can to make you spend more of it. That's really the only plan they have. Give subs an slight "edge" that can't be curbed by the cartel store and they'll lose too much money to make it worth it.
  24. I made a very real assumption based on what you already said, you made a false assumption based on something I never said. Big difference. This thread is really going nowhere though... nobody is really going to agree on anything and I'm sure a developer post to clear things up is what is really needed.
  25. If the game is just going to end eventually, then why should I grind for gear at level cap then? I should just be handed off a full set of gear. Would you be disappointed if you already had level capped gear and Bioware changed it to where everyone could just buy it for free? Why should you be?! The time you spent getting it and your achievements do not matter. This is just a game and no one is going to take away those 3+ hour raids you did, am I right? Is getting gear meaningful to you? Just because you state Treek is fluff doesn't actually make it true. Please tell me why you just consider companions fluff and not content. Oh, and I ever once whined that I'd unsub, just that I'd hate it if Bioware made getting Treek meaningless. Putting words in my mouth isn't cool.
