  2. I took a look at their healing abilities today and noticed a dramatic difference, even though both of these companions are a much higher influence than others. Progressive Kolto Scan Rank 28 Yuun: 2967 over 3 seconds Rank 40 Qyzen: 3145 over 3 seconds Rank 22 M1-4X: 11932 over 3 seconds Rank 17 K'Krohl: 11564 over 3 seconds Their other healing skills are the same way and it even makes a difference for damage. At first I believed that they might be bugged because they no longer had their original weapon, but I had some friends check their companions and find the same results. It sucks that I dumped so many gifts into Qyzen only for him to be a ton weaker than other companions.

  4. This video may be joking around but come on, Concealment is borderline OP right now. In my last warzone I got 150k damage and only died 11 times. Show me another class that rivals those numbers. And in arena... most of the time half my team leaves when they see me because they KNOW I give them an unfair advantage. I don't know about you guys, but while I'm farming level 25 republic players on Tatooine, I can't find any competition. Concealment is great.
  5. If I were a new player I might make the same mistake. Not sure why everyone hates this guy. I can see his logic since every other thing you buy in the Cartel Store besides packs is a permanent unlock unless it's labeled a "pass" or "boost" or something. Crates aren't exactly clear.
  6. I've been noticing it the last few cartel store releases. Here's how Bioware has designed the majority of "new" armor: -Take an existing armor set -Take out the mid-section (because Bioware now has an obsession with showing off the chest?) -occasionally re-color it -Name it "casual", "unburdened", "relaxed", etc. I know Bioware wants scantily clad "sexy" armor available for their customers, but am I the only one that thinks they look ridiculous at this point? The Hotshot Starfighter pack has FOUR such armor sets that everyone is getting stuck with looting as they desperately try to get the actual cool-looking Mando armor. I'm not sure if every new pack has to meet some outfit quota, but I don't know a single person happy about the "relaxed"/"casual"/"unburdened" sets anymore.
  7. Why is it not possible to talk about what "a lot of folks" (probably most of the team) are working on"? Is it something Bioware is saving for E3? Please, give me a reason to be excited Bioware. Give me something other than fluff and recycling content that's already there.
  8. I tried creating a character on the Harbinger for double xp weekend since Pot5 is dead (except for one large guild) but I'm suffering from a lot of lag on that server. I mostly PUG pvp at level cap with a few friends and do the occasional operation/flashpoint. Do PvP war-zones pop constantly? How is the population in general? I'm guessing ranked is also dead here like on all servers?

  10. Considering you are healing while using a tank companion... of all companions... I highly doubt that. Honestly, despite the other stuff you've said, this has clued me in that you're probably trolling.
  11. I just think that M1 should be a tank in all situations. The best case scenario is that you are fighting all melee mobs. M1 cannot "tank" otherwise. (I say "tank" because a tank companion never holds single-target aggro besides Treek) Giving him a charge ability would let him tank in all situations as opposed to "Oh, thank God this is a melee champ that can be grappled and is surrounded by melee minions." Why do you even use 4X if you're turning off EMP blast? It just seems counter-productive that you change your "entire playstyle" to deal with M1's tanking options.
  12. Eh, SWTOR has been very accommodating to the entire trilogy thus far, and with no real description of where Droideka's came from, I don't think it's much of a stretch. With Luke's outfit and Treek being in the game, I don't think a Droideka customization would destroy immersion.
  13. The difference is that the use of tow cable is limited to a select few instances. A charge ability would be useful in every conceivable instance. This is why every tank companion except 4X has a charge ability. His AOE threat abilities like EMP pulse see limited use against groups of ranged targets because it's almost impossible to get 4X to their melee range.
  14. He is literally the only ranged tank companion with a hook instead of a leap. If an awesome jet boost animation is out of the works I'm sure a "speed" boost to close the gap into melee, like Tano Vik and Skadge, could easily be workable. It makes no sense that he has AOE threat abilities yet doesn't have a way to get into the fray.
  15. Everyone knows 4X is the biggest bro and greatest asset the Republic has to offer, and it's a crying shame that he is so under-represented by Bioware. I mean, come on guys, how could you miss this stuff: 1: Tow Cable is annoying for both Powertechs and Commandos. Remember when Corso Riggs had a grappling hook and it got changed to a rocket boost? Why not give 4X a similar treatment? 4X isn't a sissy: he prefers to look his enemies in the eyes as they die so they know that their defeat was achieved through valiant efforts of the Republic! 2: A Droideka customization. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Droideka_negtd0.jpg I will come to your offices and throw my wallet through the window if you put this skin into the game. The game's population will expand tenfold just so others can experience the glory of this customization. Grown men will weep as they ask themselves, "How?! How is it possible that this glorious machine could only get MORE beautiful?!" 3: Personal-space. We've established that 4X is the greatest machine that has been built and will ever be built, but even the greatest bro in the universe needs to give his allies personal space. 4X follows you far more closely than other companions, and increasing the space in which he follows you by just 12% will increase his combat efficiency by at least 60%. Republic-cans everywhere agree that 4X must be cherished and enjoyed by all... so Bioware, why don't you show just a fraction of this love by giving some improvements to this national treasure? FOR THE REPUBLIC!
  16. I could really make another 5 paragraph response to this but since I don't want to derail the thread too much, I think it's just safer to say that your idea of balance and my idea of balance widely varies and leave it at that.
  17. The only reason in PvP why Rage Mara/Juggs might get more DPS is the AOE in certain arenas like Voidstar where you stack up on doors. The numbers may be higher, but the overall single-target focus damage of a sniper is far greater. Unless your strategy in ranked involves stacking smash maras, (and it's mostly bringing just a combat mara at the moment for the speed buff) they would never beat snipers in a dual. Of course, if we were actually talking about ranged classes and not including melee, we blow the other two out of the water. As for advanced prototype, you're referring to the PTS server. On live it's a good spec (I have a 55 powertech alt that's been running it for months) that pulls out nice numbers, but on the PTS it's broken because of how tanky they are in a 4v4 environment with no limitations of using their tank stance. If it gets out of the PTS though, expect people to be asking for MM snipers since we actually do incredibly well against AP powertechs. (Marksman will be a great spec for arenas compared to the other two.) TL;DR: -Any bigger numbers that smash monkeys pull out is just because they have an AOE, not because they're good at singling down important targets -AP is broken in the PTS because it's stupid tanky and has no limitations on their stance, but since MM sniper destroys AP, we'll actually be desired against them -If you think the other two ranged classes don't look at sniper's kit and utility with longing and slight drooling you're a bit silly
  18. We simply don't need another offensive cooldown. We've already got ours, Target Acquired, and if people are really insistent upon thinking that it's not a good skill then probably never use it. Laze Target is actually very good for what it does. (If you don't keep either skill off cd, there's no other way of putting it - you aren't playing the class correctly.) Why does our class in particular want this skill to be less boring when there's already plenty of "boring" skills for other classes? Does every skill have to be "exciting"? The last thing we should be asking for is buffs and trying to change our already powerful abilities into more powerful abilities. It's ridiculous and petty to look down on the other DPS from our tier 1 pedestal trying to nitpick our way to the famed "Tier 0", where our class will be so overpowering that no dps will be allowed to exist in ranked or competitive play. This isn't tweaking an ability; it's completely changing it in a blatant attempt to get more buffs to what is already considered the strongest ranged dps class in the game.
  19. I simply think that the last thing our class needs is more buffs. I'm very much okay with our current state, and I even think we're a bit TOO powerful.
  20. I'm using Section Guardian gear and running into the same issue. I also request an emergency hotfix, as half of my characters are now unplayable.
  21. I can't sell them or trade them, but I have a lot of them taking cargo bay space. Is it ok to destroy them?

There's 6-7 off the top of my head that exist, but the two biggies are that the old dread guard weapons are better than the max level conqueror pistol and the matrix cube bolsters far better than other relics. Every single time they "fix" it there's yet more items that end up this way. I'd rather them give away partisan for free than bolster existing. Bolster really needs to be removed from 55 warzones. Recruit Mk-2 did absolutely fine for what it was intended to do. You could easily get several pieces of war hero a day, even though the gear "sucked" comparatively.
  24. Bolster has been bugged since it launched, despite Bioware claiming they fixed it. They have no idea how to fix it at this point and they've even made it somewhat of a joke in their responses to PvP concerns. It's high time to shelve it until they can actually do something with it.
  25. Along with a host of other items I've already learned about, I just found out that a level 63 Dread Guard weapon for my powertech is better than my new conqueror pistol. As bad as it was in recruit gear at the start, at the very least, it took about two weeks minimum to get a full set of war hero. While it did suck being useless to your team if you were actually going to play pvp at cap, you weren't going to suck for long. Bolster is far too easily abused and misused, and despite numerous attempts to fix it, it's not getting there. I think it's finally time to admit that bolster needs to be removed and screw the consequences.
