  1. I use the BBB matrix cube and the 220 crit / surge pvp relic. I also have the power one and i swap between them while the other is on cooldown but i would take the crit / surge one first.

They all tick separately as different debuffs (which is good against cleansers, although you would never use flame thrower anyways just because of how you want to keep distance between you and your target. often times fights will go like this incendiary -> thermal -> rail -> power surge + TSO fusion missile -> kite with rapid shots this is how i usually fight EVERY operative after i break their opener and jet boost them away
  3. Yes lets nerf the inferior mercenary spec because people who dont know how to interupt or LOS are getting killed by it.
  4. Actually, any class can still get the 2.5k and 5k healing medals along with the 75k healing medal. Because i dont want this to get nerfed however, im not going to say how, if you dig deep though you can probably find out.

  6. Actually, it gives them longevity and promotes an actual reason to acquire all this pvp gear. I agree with everything said in the OP but i do think maps should be random, a team that just stacks knockbacks for example could just refuse to play on any map without multiple floors. I just hope there are no hazards in the maps though, no cheesy fire pit killing strats please
  7. I cant believe so many people cry about arsenal when its such a garbage and easy to counter spec. Pyrotech is better in every single way except sustained damage if you are allowed to chain cast and turret (never), but hey if people want to outcry and get the worse spec nerfed fine by me.
  8. thermal detonator, without the higher up talents in arsenal tracer just becomes a weaker power shot that applies a -armor debuff (which doesnt stack with other classes afaik so it wouldnt even matter in a raid)

  11. I can still get 3 out of the 4 healing medals as a dps specd merc every game, i feel sorry for healers.
  12. most classes (if not all) have an ability like this where it only works on disabled mobs but will not work at all in pvp, i think this is intended but i do agree its pretty lame. I'd love to shoulder slam some noobs with my merc
  13. +1 for arenas, the only thing that kept me in wow for most of lich king and early cata. Honestly, this game is pretty balanced as is, some people might whine about sorcerers or scoundrels but im still not convinced there is any godmode loliwineverytime class in this game.

  15. Possibly to someone who most likely cant function if he ever needs to press more than 3 abilities, to someone who has never lost a fair fight to any mercenary / commando on the server though no, it is not irony.
  16. i dont recall this ever happening, but if it did it was with your premade butt buddies riding me or me at half health. Glad you can make up stories to defend your horrible spec though.

The typical rotation to burst down a target before they can react (a healer, or a class with vanish) would be incendiary missile (always first) -> thermal detonator -> power shot -> rail shot. with thermal detonators 3 second delay and the 1.5 second global cooldown into 1.5 second cast time on power shot, you can get all 3 of these abilities to do their damage at the exact same time. The rotation to take down a target that doesnt have such an instant escape or heals though would be incendiary missile -> thermal detonator -> rail shot -> unload -> possible rail shot.

When im lining up a huge burst on someone with TD -> power shot -> rail shot i like power shot because you can get them all to hit at the same time, and in a free casting scenario power shot will do more damage because you can get off 2 power shots in the time you would get off 1 unload. In a situation where you are chasing someone down quickly using unload to try and refresh rail shot is a useful tactic and when you are fighting a melee at close quarters using unload is better because even if they interupt it you already did some damage and possibly reset your rail shot. then again, i spec for muzzle fluting, if for some reason you do not spec muzzle fluting i would definitely prioritize unload every time.

Personally i find degauss to be a waste of points, in a 3/7/31 build i only have enough points for 1 of these "fluff" talents and personally i am a fan of energy rebounder, most of the slows in this game that own you are channeled or no cooldown, plus i would much rather be using my energy shield when i need to tank damage rather than use it to try and escape from someone, and the amount of additional shields you can get off during a warzone with it is pretty good. I really dont have any issues finding stealthers without infrared sensors so i really dont see the point in the talent.
  21. Stop playing mindless garbage arsenal spec and switch to pyrotech, pyro outdoes arsenal in EVERYTHING but sustained damage in level 50 pvp and thats if the enemies let you turret (hint, they wont).

  23. No idea if degauss is broken or not, i just dont take the talent (2% crit and reduced heat cost on power shot is better imo). As for operatives they move 15% faster from talents, so you need to kite them with rapid shots and gas cylinder after you break the opener and jet boost them away, just throw up your instants (power surge fusion missile too) and then start runnin, if they ever get on you then pop energy shield and just try to get rail shot resets with unload. Honestly operatives are the easiest melee to fight for me, the ones that rip me up hard are geared maurauders.
  24. Ur right, there is no way a 500 expertise tank will ever get 4 shot by an operative. Class is fine, please leave
  25. Arsenal is definitely the better spec while leveling, you just dont have the gear to support pyro and the heat management is rough. However once you are 50 and have some expertise pyrotech just blows arsenal out of the water, the burst is better, the survivability is better, and the mobility is WAY better.
