  1. I'll never understand why someone who has nothing helpful to add to a thread, and has no idea what their talking about, feel the need to belittle a CUSTOMER of Bioware's for the fun of it. I spent nearly 40 minutes trying to change settings and fiddle with things before posting. My main question is, why would BW's update screw with my graphics settings? Seems pretty stupid to me, but then again, I am just an "incapable" person, right?
  2. I've done some basic troubleshooting. And...things were fine, then this patch came through turning everything into total crap. I've tried every settings and different setups. Aside from uninstalling (which seems it would do nothing) i dunno. What got reset on the patch, and how to i fix it when it comes to graphics...
  3. They are absolutely HORRID! Same settings, same everything. Before, they were great/perfect. After the new patch...there's pixels around my head, lag left and right, horrid. Please tell me why, and how I can fix it. I would be very, very grateful. Why would the graphics settings be erased/changed in a patch? Game completely un-playble at this point. Will be forced to cancel (don't want to) if it stays this way.
  4. I've noticed Bioware has not updated their latest "Surge" update post. The article speaks about "over 1 million users playing SW:TOR over the holidays." Here's my question, is there really only 1 million people actually playing this game? I myself, love it. Seems like 1 million users is just slightly short of the mark they'd hoped for. Is there an updated number of actual users, and how many does BW actually need for SW:TOR to be considered a "sucess"? It's a success for me, but a little concerned by the lack of news articles. I feel this game can easily trump the staple called WoW. Your thoughts? Any news links? Thanks in advance...
  5. As someone who just basically "showed a noobie around" yes, you do need the patience of a saint, but I found it gratifying. He's doing very good now. I would suggest doing just as the other poster said, read a lot in these forums, ask questions in general chat. As far as character choice, read about the basic "classes" in MMOs, such as Tanks, Healers, and DPS. Then figure out what classes are considered what in SW:TOR, and pick what you want. As far as once you do start, you'll get a quest (someone will tell you what you need to do) and all you'll ready need is your map "M" on your keyboard. That will show you where you need to go. Use your map. Good luck!
  6. Dungeon Finder...Dungeon Finder...Dungeon Finder. I LOVE this game, love it. One complaint...and it's big. You guessed it, no Dungeon Finder.
  7. Although I don't use a Twi'lek, I could imagine the simple fix is to allow the Lekku to fall over the shoulders to the chest (hanging out of hood)....BOOM. Solved.
  8. They just opened 8 new servers, hopefully that helps. Been in queue for one hour and counting...
  9. I'm not sure what's going on here, as this makes no coherent sense to me. Here's what I'm experiencing. I created a BH this morning, and started off after my first conversation. I clicked both mouse buttons to turn around and begin walking and froze, 5 seconds later, I was in the corner wall. I tried numerous times to move around, and actually except quests, but was unable to even make it to a quest giver. I gave it a rest, and chalked it up to too many people being online, causing major lag. Fast forward time, and same result. I created other toons (empire) and had the same effect. So....I broke down and made a republic character, and....NO PROBLEMS! w...t...f? As of right now, I've created multiple toons on both sides, and my republic characters are the only ones I can play. Each empire character is so lagged out, it's unbearable. I'll literally tap an arrow key, and six seconds later, my toon turns. My republic characters play fine, and NO problems what so ever. How is this even possible? What gives? Is this not crazy?
