  1. Moderate -> Abundant -> Prosperous* -> Bountiful -> Rich -> Wealthy* * = Consumable Missions
  2. Right-o. I'm on Legacy 6 at the moment and it's 245,000 to Legacy 7. Hopefully there's a decent use for all this.
  3. Decided to test this bit out this evening for myself, using a Grade 1 (Skill Level 20) orange recipe on my Armormech slave. Yes, this was a complete waste no matter the outcome, because a) you can't RE oranges and b) this particular item is Republic classes only and I'm on Empire. I crafted 28 of them, and 8 times I got the critical success message from my companions... and no augment slots added. For now, I'd say it's simply not possible.. unless someone can provide actual proof to convince me otherwise. (And yes, I do have that good of luck with criticals... no idea why, gotta love RNG).
  4. It's working as intended in SWTOR. Shift clicking any item will link it to chat whether you have chat open or not. Shift right click + drag will allow you to do it without linking.
  5. Sticky's are useful. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=45866
  6. Purple is the highest level for that item... you can learn higher levels from your trainer (i.e. Guardian Armoring 3, 4, 5, etc). Each level has a base (green), prototype (blue) and artifact (purple) version with slightly higher stats going up in quality. See the sticky on reverse engineering if you want to know how it works.
  7. See the sticky at the top of the crew skills forum, the Reverse Engineering guide. It explains how RE works. There's a total of 17 versions of RE'd items.
  8. Biochem crits don't provide better versions, they give you multiples. So, critting on any medpack will just give you two instead of one. If you mean, is there a better version you can reverse engineer... then no, there isn't.
  9. Generally you come up much better running the mission than buying from a vendor. Conductive Flux is like 10Cr from a vendor, and you can run the mission for around 95-115Cr I don't exactly remember the numbers, and I usually get 15-20. The credit difference for higher grade materials is probably bigger. Just another choice of time vs credits.
  10. Aren't the epic relics supposed to have Augment mod slots? Even so, the highest +End Augment is only +34... However you can change endurance to whatever stat you want if you don't necessarily need it... +Absorption, Strength, Presence even... lol
  11. The Artifice crew skill can craft some lightsabers, but I believe it's only at high skill levels. http://www.torhead.com/schematics/catg/3/page/1
  12. I've never had a problem with being underleveled for a planet... but then again I'm a sucker for those bonus missions of Kill 30 Republic Soldiers, Kill 15 this, Collect 6 of these, etc... Especially the "staged" bonus missions... a 4 stage bonus usually net's me a good 20-30K xp on top of the actual mission. Also, make sure you're not avoiding mobs while questing... there's no reason to go around groups of enemies when you can plow right through them... the XP from kills adds up, as well as the vendor trash you pick up to help with credits. I just did the intro quests on Hoth and I'm 38, I barely do any PvP and I've only done 3 space missions.
  13. Exactly... there's next to no market for augments right now because people are still trying to figure out the best way to use them. In a perfect world I might be able to squeeze a good 10K credits out of a 22 Artifact augment, which would be awesome... but I don't see that happening right now.
  14. Of the 3 L340 Wealthy Yield missions I've done I've always gotten an artifact augment and a negative yield green box. Bad luck? Possibly, but I do well on most others. Here's a visual representation of my data so far... Click Here. So far I've logged... Total Missions: 68 (1 Class 3, 15 Class 4, 25 Class 5, 27 Class 6) Net Profit: 44,256Cr Bonus Items: 17 (2 Blue Missions, 11 Artifact Missions, 2 Cybertech Schematics, 2 Augments) Percent Bonus Item: 25% Percent Artifact Mission Yield: ~16% Crits: 5 (All on Class 5 Rich Yields) Crit %: ~7% One of the Artifact missions I yielded was the L340 Slicing mission, here's the result... Mission #: 51 Date: 20111229 Level: 49-50 Class: 6 Yield: Wealthy Mission Name: A Test of Intelligence Cost: 3115Cr Length: 2h 24m Return: 2040Cr Net: -1075Cr Bonus Items: L49 Advanced Resolve Augment 22 (Artifact) [+28 Willpower] Not exactly a thrilling yield...
  15. He has no affection because he's a damn droid. He's terrified of being turned into scrap metal and does whatever I tell him. God I hate that thing. Anyways, yes you can upgrade him with droid parts and he does heal... just doesn't do any damage from what I remember.
  16. Even if you're JUST doing companion missions with Slicing, it still nets a profit. Just not as large. I did 50 missions today, with a net profit of 30,279C, 8 Artifact missions and 2 blue missions. It's lower than what it was, but that's also with running quite a few class 6 missions for schematics... Over 21K of that was from class 5 missions (16 of the 50 were Class 5 Rich Yield, so 72% profit from 32% of the overall missions plus the missions I found). If you use the skill correctly, you can still make money. I made 92K credits today and that includes leveling twice and purchasing new skills, repair bills, medpacs, etc. Granted that's about half what I was making, but I wasn't very motivated today either.. and I haven't been selling on the GTN the past couple days.
  17. No, not in the way you're thinking. It's a separate trade network from the one on the fleet. It allows you to post items that both factions can buy. The GTNs on the Imperial / Republic fleets are for that faction only, items you post on one will not show on the other. It's a way for people to buy / sell rare or hard to find items that they can't sell / buy on their own GTN, ideally. However you'll find a bunch of random things on there as well. If you played WoW, it's like the goblin "Neutral" auction house you could find in Booty Bay / Gadgetzan.
  18. The one on Nar Shaddaa is cross-faction, which is why it appears different than the one on the fleet.
  19. I've got Cybertech right now, and it's a mixed bag... Unless you intend to pour money into it to keep it current with your level then the mods you can make are next to worthless. Actually, they're still next to worthless as you can get better quality ones for 2 planetary commendations (Mods) and 8 planetary commendations for armoring. The only ones really worth using are the epic crafted ones and that takes quite a bit of money/time to get to each and every level. Now, don't get me wrong. CT has it's good points (sorta)... Here's the other things you can make... You can build reusable grenades.... at 400 skill level, oh and they're BoP, oh and they're on a 5 minute timer. You can build mounts! Except they're the same ones you can buy just re-colored, oh and they're BoP too so no money making there. You can make droid parts! Might be able to make some money there if anyone uses that annoying ship droid to heal. You can make ship upgrades, which is probably the only saving grace to this skill, but most (if not all) of the good upgrade schematics come from Slicing. You can make earpieces... which don't seem half-bad if you can RE the recipes for blue/artifact versions. Again, a time/money-sink to get the recipes. Just thought I'd throw out the counters to CT... I actually like it, and think it will be a good skill at 400/50. Up to you though.
  20. That's because most people don't know to look under Diplomacy for them... If Bioware would fix the GTN you'd probably be able to sell those, lol.
  21. Hwasung, I'd like to make a request of you as well. For the next few days could you keep track of all the Underworld Trading missions you run? I'd like to see the yield potential for UT for blue/purple materials, as I've also got Cybertech & Scavenging but I haven't invested much into CT as of yet. Have been waiting to see how the market is going to be for blue/artifact modifications... Would like to know if I should keep slicing and buy my materials or drop it for UT. An analysis of both skills will greatly benefit this decision. Also, as an insight to how this little endeavor is going... here are the current stats: Number of Missions: 20 Average Mission Length: 28m 40s Class Breakout: C4: 4, C5: 5, C6: 10 Yield Breakout: Moderate: 5, Abundant: 5, Bountiful: 4, Rich: 6 Total Spent: 31,310C Total Return: 42,270C Net Return: 10,960C Average Net Return: 548C Negative Returns: 6 (882C lost) Bonus Items: 5 (Blue: L230 Diplomacy, Artifact: L230 Investigation, L340 Investigation, L340 Treasure Hunting, L340 Bioanalysis) Time Testing: ~3 hours
  22. As Pryt mentioned above, a lot of people didn't run Class 6 missions... So I'd like to see the results broken down a bit like this... Level/Class | Yield | Mission Name | Cost | Length | Return | Bonuses (Missions, etc) This is how I've set up my mission logs. I'll be organizing mine by date and then creating a point chart for each date to see the general profitability of each mission. Then from there we (slicers) will see the best bang for the buck, and you (non-slicers) can see the yields for mission drops.
  23. I haven't started running missions tonight, but I'll probably get at least 5-6 hours worth of play time in tonight as I got off early. I'll keep a log of any missions I do run as I'm curious as to how my profit has been affected personally. I will say that in a normal day I was collecting 7-10 missions (mix blue/artifact... but mainly artifact at 400). I'll also take some screenshots of each mission yield as they come in if I remember to do so.
  24. 20-30K is a reasonable expectation. I was fine with letting L340 artifact missions go for 3.5-8K depending on the skill because it was just extra cash on top of the money I was making. Now it's going to be the MAIN source of money from slicing, and there's no way I'll let those go that cheaply. On another note, I've never seen an artifact quality lockbox come back... I wonder if they increased the chance for those. Anyone seen one yet?
  25. Right, I've mostly got Diplomacy, Underworld Trading and Treasure Hunting missions saved up. I assume you mean the L49-50 slicing missions... here's a comparison from a normal Class 6 and a rich Class 5. Level: 49-50 Mission: Data Race Length: 36m 00s Cost: 1485C Yield: Abundant Class: 6 Item: Lockboxes Level: 49-50 Mission: Plug the Leak Length: 31m 12s Cost: 1415C Yield: Moderate Class: 6 Item: Lockboxes These two are pretty much the only two C6 lockbox missions I see. Level: 41-48 Mission: Taking Back Control Length: 30m 24s Cost: 2025C Yield: Rich Class: 5 Item: Lockboxes I believe it's a chance on all mission yields, however the chance increases with each level of yield with rich being the best yield for mission items. Reasoning for this is that I haven't seen a bountiful or rich yield class 6 mission... only moderate/abundant. Oh... and just for geewhiz information... As of today, artifact quality L300 missions for UT/TH on my server have increased from 3,000C to 10,000C. There are no L340 missions on the GTN.
