  1. I got a blue weapon out of my legacy item that was level 16 if I remember right. It lasted me until around lvl 23 when I finished up Balmoraa. It was vastly better than I could get in DK. It would be nice if it leveled up with you.
  2. Thanks! As I don't really enjoy PvP, I think i'll just wait for 1.3 whenever that launches.
  3. I am PVE player. How long would it take to go from Valor 0 to Valor 60 to make the gloves and boots?
  4. 400 is the max currently for all crew skills.
  5. Several of your companions do not care for light side choices is the only fall out I saw.
  6. I have a lvl 50 Sorc and Agent, plus a lvl 31 Merc. Having played all three healers, I think the Sorc is pretty easy due to the bubble and extra utility (e.g., force speed, extricate, CC any mobs, etc.) over my Agent. The Agent is all about micromanagement with having to watch your surgical probe, TA proc, energy levels, etc. The 1.2 patch is going to mess with Sorc resource management from what I've read, so that may make them a bit less easy to play.
  7. Ditto what John said on my server. In addition, slicing is good from a world node harvesting standpoint. Nothing like running around picking up free money; however, at 50 I find very little I need to actually spend credits to buy.
  8. The 1.1.4 patch notes indicate "Medical Therapy: Kolto Probe and Recuperative nanotech will now properly benefit from this skill." I'm glad to see healing Operatives getting some love! It will be interesting to see how this helps my healing. I'm just doing Hard Modes at this point, and I haven't had any issues to date.
  9. I'm Light V on my Operative Healer. How does Scorpio respond to light side choices? Temple Ensign loves it, which is why I quickly maxed her out on affection. Kaliyo, on the other hand, not so much.
  10. I got one on Nar Shadaa, which is the only lvl 21 implant drop I saw across three characters now. I rarely see them on the GTN either. I found good, RE'd level 21 implant sells quite well though once you get the schematic.
  11. I used to play Everquest, and there was a site http://www.magelo.com where you could display your character's picture, armor, alternate advancement points, etc. Is there an equivalent for SWTOR yet?
  12. I was in a pick-up group yesterday to do a Heroic 4-Man on Taris, and the tank asked, "Who keeps laughing all the time?" I was surprised others could hear my toon giggling.
  13. Agreed on Alderan. I found it there, although it wasn't plentiful. Mostly I found unknown microrganism and hallucinogenic compound stuff seemed like.
  14. Thanks for the tip on buying multiples from a vendor! If you shift + right click, it won't link the item in your chat window.
  15. Lvl 40 Main is 400 Biochem/389 Bioanalysis/400 slicing Lvl 35 Alt is 285 Biochem/320ish Diplomacy/285 slicing I have a bank toon that I play the GTN resell game with (i.e., buy low, sell higher), and he also sells any bioanalysis, slicing, and diplomacy things I don't need. I have over ~650k credits on the bank toon, and another 100k across the other two toons, but I just dropped 235k for the lvl 40 speeder training and scooter!
  16. Not that I've found at the lower levels. The only place I've gotten them is from Bioanalysis and Diplomacy gathering missions. Be prepared to runs lots of missions to get purple items!
  17. Either option will cost you time (farming DK) or credits (running missions and/or buying mats in the GTN). It will depend on which one you have more of to spend. You will want to get your Bioanalysis skill up through gathering and/or missions ASAP so you can gather stuff when you kill mobs and run around while leveling. I don't think it would take too much time and/or credits to at least get your Bioanalysis skill up. Getting your Diplomacy up will help you acquire mats to make stuff.
  18. Great post! I am in the same boat with playing an "evil" character due to real-life friends all choosing to roll Empire toons. In my role-play mind, I made female characters and consider them slaves to the Empire. They use their powers to heal, which is the closest they can come to being "good" people. At one point in a quest line, the story even hinted about defecting, which I'm sure wouldn't actually work in-game, but it made for an interesting option. My companions typically hate my light side choices. My record with Khem Val was -160 affection for letting somebody live.
