  1. Those items have faction specific looks. On Republic side it looks like this: http://tor.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/7695.jpg
  2. We should all hold hands and dance around a large fire, with flowers in our flowing hair... while we sing songs of peace and defiance, just to thwart his efforts.
  3. Dungeons and Dragons Online. It has a sort of duel system nowadays, where you can fight in taverns, but the game is almost exclusively PvE centered. The PvP gives no rewards either and isn't really balanced, so... I'd count that as a game with no PvP.
  4. Oh please... you know very, very well that this thread will result in the flinging of giant barrels of poop. Don't do this to me...
  5. I'm slowly starting to realize that I might be getting trolled here. If so, props to you, you're very convincing. If you're, by any chance, not trolling: Ahahaha.
  6. ... or the advertiser logs automatically (since it's a bot) onto a new, freshly created account and continues spamming from there. It's a f2p game. You can create as many accounts as you have email addresses ready...
  7. WoW does it like that. I'm not a 100% sure I like it though, since that system can easily be abused, especially by larger guilds. As an example, imagine you are selling item x and have another guy selling the same item. You happen to be in a large guild, so you ask your guildies to please report that guy for spamming and, after 20 reports, he is silenced and can't advertise his stuff anymore, allowing you to sell your items. Alternatively you just don't like person y, so you and your guild decide to 'troll' them by reporting them over and over. That'll show 'em! Meh. If only MMO communities weren't full of awful.
  8. You are aware that the spammers are bots, right? The accounts that actually run around and spam also don't hold the money. Those are pure spambots. They log in to spam, while the credits sit on some inconspicuous accounts that are paid for, so they can actually trade (which an f2p account can't). Your system wouldn't hurt spammers at all. Not a teeny, tiny bit.
  9. Depends on the time. If you want it to play in Thana Veshs time she would win, because Ventress isn't born yet. And if it plays out in Ventress' time she would win, because Vesh is long dead. Yes, I'm fun at parties.
  10. I'd like one of those being available as adaptive armor. However this belongs either here or here.
  11. Blizzards text filter mostly consists out of "lol, f2p accounts can't talk in anything aside from /s and /p". Hence why the goldfarmers spelled it out with their bodies - it's easier to get a bunch of test accounts and spell out a website, than gaining access to a number of fully paid accounts, that are capable of actually spamming. Back when I still played, which is now about a year ago, there were still occasional spammers in general chat, as well as a lot more spammers who spammed their messages in /s. WoWs main advantage over SWTOR is that it is a fully subscription based model, where trial accounts are barred from using most chat channels. For a goldspammer to actually spam in WoW they need to first acquire a working account, which either costs them money or requires them to steal an account via phising or similar tactics. There are probably ways (illegal ones) to get a working account for free too, but those require significantly more work than creating a new SWTOR account does. Meaning that Spammers in WoW can be quickly dealt with for good, because they actually have to work harder to gain access to the game. It is.
  12. There are still lots of ways to mask an URL while spamming. Hell, if I were a seller I'd just start spamming tinyurl links
  13. A day and 12 hours, if I'm not mistaken.
  14. Visit buycreditslol.com. Visit buycreditsloldotcom. Visit buy credits lol dot com. Visit buy credits lol . c o m Visit b u y c r e d i t s l o l . c o m /edit: Just in case: This is a hopefully fictional site. If a site of that name actually exists and sells credits, I'd like for my post to be deleted please.
  15. I'm pretty sure the store is the only way to do it, I'm afraid. But... since most items are tradeable after a two day waiting period you could just buy him the items and trade them to him. (edit: Meh, should've read more closely) Alternatively, buy him a gamecard. That way he gets a few months of subcription and 500 CC for every month he's subscribed.
  16. It would most likely be possible to 'port' stuff, but 'possible' doesn't necessarily equal 'viable'. Both games run on completely different engines and SWTOR is a lot more high fidelity than Jade Empire. Porting is therefore not really an option (I mean, you could probably port it, but that would be way too much work). Contrary to popular belief the Kotor outfits in SWTOR aren't ports as well, they are redesigns of the same armor, newly built in the SWTOR engine. That being said, it would easily be possible to model faces similar to the ones in Jade Empire in SWTORs engine.
  17. I doubt there is, for the simple reason that they are only obtainable once. Giving players an option to get rid of them would result in accidental deletions, sales or similar things, which in turn would cause people to write tickets and cry their heart out on this very forum. I'm afraid you'll have to live with them sitting in your missions tab. Considering that you never actually need to look into said tab... why not just ignore it?
  18. Thank you for the correction. See, we could have a nice discussion here, but every single time it kinda goes down that road you come and add another snide remark. You're really hurting yourself with that attitude, I'd recommend losing it if you want a discussion, otherwise you will continue to get hostile responses.
  19. Oh look, you use 'gay' as an equivalent for 'bad'. Aren't you a charmer.
  20. People were asking for long sleeved robes for ages now. Thats the main reason why the set is so expensive, there was a demand, so the price is set higher than usual to profit from that demand. I personally don't really like it that way, but... eh.
  21. Woo. Since my PC died yesterday I'll have to buy a new one. Meaning that SWTOR DOES have wildstar to fear, at least in case of my single, insignificant sub. So... yay? We'll see how well it runs on my new machine once I have it... but so far it seems to be terribly optimized. Even an hour of fiddling with settings didn't get the FPS above 20... then again, since my PC died a few hours later that may have had something to do with it ;X
