  1. I logged in yesterday on my imp toon Sorvali and there was someone who sent me about 900k~1mil worth of items. I'm guessing it was a mistake, there was no message attached, and I have no idea who they were. I took it out of mailbox to send it back but cause there was no message, it just deleted the whole mail including the guys name and I'm an idiot who didn't think about that before taking it out of the mail lol. -_- I'll probably recognise your name when I see it but that doesn't do me a lot of good right now.

Idk how my name came up to accidentally have stuff sent to me lol, but if someone out there possibly mailed this stuff to me by accident, tell me your toon name and what the stuff was in a PM or mail me in game or w/e and hopefully I find you and you can have your stuff back. :p <3

The world needs more people like you in it.

  2. I suppose that would be a good idea. What areas would you say produce the greatest lag? I suspect that the starter planets like Dromund Kass, Korriban, Corscucant, Tython etc. and the Imperial/republic fleet would have the greatest lag hits no?

Are the technical issues because the population is just so big or is the server just bugged?

You'll find the fleet, and some areas like Coruscant laggy, and slow to load in and out of. That may be common elsewhere.

Unscheduled downtime on this server has been a real issue in the past, but has improved as of late. The server tends to start bugging, mail issues crop up, then chat channel issues, pvp ques, etc. and then it crashes. I believe it has been a couple of weeks since we've last seen it though.

It's not uncommon to see 5 instances of the republic fleet during peak times for this server. It is well-populated and active, just be aware of the history of technical problems we have experienced.

  3. Out of curiosity, is the lag there really that bad there all the time? I got enough for one server transfer and i would hate for it to be a hit and a miss.

Why not roll a lowbie toon here and see for yourself before you make the commitment?

This is a well-populated server and I love my friends here, but if I did not know anyone here and were starting fresh, the technical issues with this particular server would give me pause before I choose to move or start off here.

  4. I have taken a sentinel to 54 purely on the class quest and PvP, plus a few Black Hole dailies.

(I believe you must do your class quest to get your class buff, plus companions for crafting)

I’m going to finish 54-55 only on war zones so that I can maximize coms before hitting 55.

I have also taken advantage of double XP weekends, the legacy boost, guild boost, major xp boosts and I am always rested.

It’s really not that bad, in fact, if war zones gave a lot more xp, you would miss out on a lot of coms before hitting 55. That’s not ideal.

  5. Top Gun is working to reform our A ranked team and we are also interested in helping to form kickball ranked as well.

I believe what may be needed is more coordination on what days/times are best for kickball and which are best for A teams to duke it out.

These concepts do not mix well and leads to frustration for kickball teams facing A teams, and frankly it should be boring for an A team to smash a kickball team.

We hosted some kickball with PUGs from the fleet a couple of weeks back. The two teams never got to face each other due to this scheduling issue.

I think a healthy ranked population can exist on this server if we can use kickball nights to get more people in the door to try it.

Let’s keep this conversation going to help work out the best times for both kinds of ranked matches.

  6. <Top Gun> is hosting kickball ranked matches tonight starting at 6:00 p.m. server time.

(Kickball means we just choose teams as you would on the sand lot and then work to even them out between matches)

We’ll be on the fleet spamming the PvP channel and may move the teams to Coruscant for some fun dueling in between matches.

Any level 55 player is welcome, but please do not show up in recruit or old battlemaster gear. Due to bolster, PvE gear will work fine.

Please have Ventrillo downloaded and ready to use. We can host up to 3 teams at once and would appreciate any help from anyone else who has room on another channel.

More people should get a chance to try some ranked matches, and we will do our best to put together fair teams in regard to skill and composition. You may get passed around at times to help keep things even.

We understand that “A” ranked teams may choose to que during this event and we will just have to play them as we are.

If this works out, we will try to make it a regular Friday night thing moving forward.

    Join us for some fun!

  7. <Top Gun> is recruiting Republic players level 30+ for PvP and PvE content. We have particular need for melee DPS and shadow tanks for our ranked team and are accepting all classes for regular PvP and PvE.

    More about us:

Our main focus is on PvP content, but we do also support weekly operation PvE content. We’re a fairly large guild with 80+ active player accounts and more than 300 characters as members.

We support a ranked PvP team, host server-wide “kickball” PvP events and we have players in war zones pretty much 24/7.

We host a 25-person Ventrillo channel for in-game communications and friendly, casual chat. We also have a guild bank, and offer master crafters of every kind to help you gear out your character.

Our members are business professionals, college students, parents, etc from all corners of the world. You will meet members from Russia, Canada, Australia, Finland, Mexico, the Carribean and the USA. We are not “professional” gamers in any sense, but we take the game seriously during the hours we chose to play it. It is, obviously, a game and the point of a game should be to have fun. Above all else, we want to have fun and hope you do as well. Our most active members stay up-to-date with the game and are very active on our forums. We strive to be friendly and inclusive to all of our members and hope to make it feel like an extended online family of friends.

    Recruitment process:

Our recruitment process requires that you apply through our website. It’s a fairly simple process, and we only disqualify players who are under 18, or are not full subscribers to the game. Exceptions to those rules can also be made on a case-by-case basis. We also require at least 1 week of membership to gauge your current skill and gear level, and we ask that you play some matches with an officer before becoming a full member. Please have at least 1 character of level 30 to add to the guild to start out. Alts can be added once you have passed the recruit membership phase.

  8. Oh hey it's the gunslinger with 37k health....

You might be confusing me with Cathulan. I run around 32k in mostly partisan gear. He runs much higher in full PVE gear. Bolster, working as intended and all.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were whining. You aren't whining are you? There's no whining in pvp.

  9. I think me and the rest of the republic players are tired of losing match after match in lv 55 pvp. Even with the best premade pvp guild left on the republic (Top gun or Forsaken) we still get raped by imperial guilds. Why don’t you imp’s make some republic toons. We are tired of losing. You all have boss, yes, we has cookies, ascendency, lukewarm, nightmare, krusty krab, dread gods, multiverse and many more. Meanwhile on the pub side, we have nothing. We used to have the best pvp guild in Trilogy, but they left. We also lost immortalsz and goof troop. We also lost deadweight to the imperial side. So no point in mentioning them.

The pvp ratio for wins and losses seems to be one sided.

    Imperials = Win/Loss ration is 8-2

Republic = Win/Loss ratio is 2-8 (if you get lucky and fight against the worst imp toons)

There should also be a list of PVP imperial guilds and republic guilds. Not casual pvp guilds that pvp once in a while.

First off, who are you? A sig line with in-game name and maybe a guild tag would work wonders. Maybe you speak for the Republic side, but I doubt you do. If you need a list for some reason, make one. If you pvp and guilds are at the top of your mind, they matter. I can also guarantee that your win/loss ratio does not reflect that of all of us.

I'm actually enjoying the ranked and regular pvp matches more now than in the couple of months previous to 2.0. A lot of the childish segment of the server seems to have melted away. The ranked community is mostly respectful, and you simply don't see the trash talk and spam emoting that you likely did with 13-year-olds somehow making their way onto skilled teams; running their mouths and dropping names on the forums. Matches end with a "GG', and you can expect to see the other team again soon, and you hope you do. These days, teams act like they've won a match or two before and take care of their business like professionals.

While it is unfortunate that some pvp guilds have imploded or slit their own throats in a never-ending quest for leetness, not all have, and there are more than enough skilled Republic players around. They just need to get teamed up and organized. The imp side is running a very good team made up of allstars from various guilds. Personally, we have not beaten them yet, but we have given them all they could handle on more than one occasion. The pub side is not getting organized, for whatever reason. Once they do, I don't think this conversation will go the same way. Similarly, my team is still shuffling the rotation and trying to find a sweet spot.

I have a lot more confidence that the ranked community will get better in a short amount of time as more people get geared up and organized. It's still early into 2.0, and mostly the larger and more active guilds are fielding teams. I think the numbers will grow on both sides with time.

One other note. A big salute to <Show Us Your Crits> I have a lot of respect for those guys. They simply keep showing up and working at it. They have the willpower to improve. I have no doubt they will.

  10. We're looking for quality DPS for our Sunday, Monday and Friday ranked team. We have excellent healers, an outstanding tank and some heavy DPS hitters. A player or two bringing more big deeps needed.

    Apply at http://topgunswtor.enjin.com/

Join us Friday, May 3 at 5:30 p.m. server time for open ranked tryouts. All classes welcome, but there is particular need for a melee dps or two. Come show us what you've got!

  11. <Top Gun> is recruiting mature PvP enthusiasts playing on the Republic side.

    What we are:

With more than 300 characters, we’re one of the largest PvP guilds on the server. We run a scheduled “A” ranked team each Monday and some Sunday nights. We’re looking to expand our nights of operation for A team players. We also run scheduled kickball ranked matches on Friday nights and any player is welcome to take part. We have players from all over the globe, and there are PvP groups running literally 24/7. We have a 25-player vent channel, guild website and guild bank. Most importantly, we’re a community. Guild chat is lively, people are in vent all the time, our website forums are very active, and we help our guildmates with gear and advice. We play by a code of conduct that adheres to good sportsmanship. If you have imperial characters, you are welcome to add them to our partner guild, ShenaniganZ.

    What we are not:

There are quite a few petulant children playing this game. Look no further than these forums to see daily accounts of their childish exploits. We do not do any trash talking in the game or on these forums. We’re not elitist or exclusionary, but we do want to ensure that any new recruit is a good fit with us socially, and adheres to our rules of conduct. SWTOR is a game. We don’t require that you play any certain number of hours, but we do want you to play hard when you do. Our members are welcome to take part in end-game ops, but we do not organize or schedule any group PVE. It’s just not our thing, and there are more PVE guilds than can be counted already.

    What you are:

You are a mature 18+ player with at least a level 30 character. You have access to vent and a headset. You love PvP and it is the main focus of your play.

    What you are not:

Immature, emote-spamming forum trolls are not welcome with us.

    Recruitment policy:

Any recruit must apply on our website. You will spend about a week as a recruit just to make sure you’re a good social fit with us before becoming a full member.

Want to be a part of something great? Apply with us here.

  12. Top Gun queues our A-Team for ranked matches Monday nights at about 5:30 p.m. PST, for at least a few hours. We roll some Sunday nights as well.

We also schedule open kickball for any level 50 members on Friday nights. We queue 2 teams for kickball.

If teams are not seeing ranked pops weeknights, contact us to see if we have interest. We usually have more than enough online, if not the ideal group composition.
