  1. I'm still using the spec and love it. I pop CDs etc, open with Project, FB, FiB, and fill with DS. Drop TkT off your bar, no longer needed. I am rarely force starved. If I am 1v1 I will try to force pull/spinning kick someone to me and then use FiB to hit two people. It is a great utility spec with pretty high DPS and decent survivability. I am protecting upwards of 60k+, with well over 300k+ dmg (sometimes more depending on the match). It is also a high medal spec if you are defending nodes. It is not uncommon to hit 18+ medals.
  2. I've seen some people (Shin included) use this spec, but as far as I can see it appears to be a hidden gem still. It comes with KC Survivability and Balance DPS/Utility. In my opinion Force in Balance and Containment makes up for Harnessed Shadows/Slow time. I didn't pick up the 1 point in Infiltration Tactics, but I know it's probably a better choice than 3/3 Mental Fortitude. I am running with full BM DPS gear + 4/5 War Hero Stalker/War Hero Stalker Saber Staff and love it. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#601rIMozrskZZf0cRrM.1
  3. Thanks for the comic relief. I'm gonna go buy 20,000 floppy discs just in case.
  4. No it doesn't work. It starts over at 11gigs.
  5. I don't get how there isn't a work around for this? I already have the full game installed. I am re-downloading files I already have.
  6. I am down to 6 gigs out of 11 gigs, but the main bar (the bottom red one) has barely moved. I fear what is to come after I download this 11 gigs.
  7. Yeah I'll be honest, Lion was/is pretty annoying. But this is coming from someone who played against him and does not know him personally; I only know him by playing against him in War-zones on the opposite side. Always had respect for Shin even without talking to him. He knows his class to the T and doesn't brag or pick fights. Top-notch player all around.
  8. Hahah wow, I never put your name together until just now. I have a Sith Inquisitor (Sage) and an Imperial Agent (Operative) on The Corsair, I mostly PvP'ed with both. YOU are the sole reason I re-rolled a Shadow on a more populated server. Your pre-mades we're so annoyingly good and I feel like you guys were always playing. I got to 50 pretty quickly on The Corsair and the Imps dominated WZs for a little while. Then I rolled my IA alt and by the time I got to 50, we were losing nearly every game at all hours of the day/night. People would literally join WZs and say.. "Is Shin playing" and people would leave if the answer to that question was "Yes." Anyways, thanks for all your time with the guides and just wanted to share that quick story. Thanks for making me want to re-roll a Shadow, I'm having a blast with it and probably won't even look back on my other 50's.
  9. I'll be honest I only read the TLDR, but only because I am limted on time. I quickly wanted to add this. At first I was against server merges because it is bad PR for the game and I have been defending it in every aspect. At this point I don't care about the PR. I'm having a blast with the game and will continue to support it as long as BioWare/EA pump out content which I'm sure they will. I played WoW for 6 years and haven't had this much fun in a long long time. Merge the servers now and get it over with. So what if over on the WoW general discussion forums they laugh at SWToR for "failing" due to server merges. Everyone will understand that BioWare/EA added plenty of servers to fix the queues. Well the queues are gone now and it is time to merge. Oh well stuff happens. I think this game has a loyal crowd that will continue to grow. Don't punish low pop. servers because of the possible bad looks. We are behind the game and the companies. Well I am at least. I am "The Corsair" FYI.
  10. We could really use some cup holders on our ships. Keep spilling my coffee while jumping to light speed.
  11. There's a rule against it; it's in the TOS. Just a matter of time before most are forced to change their names. See below: Directly from the Rules of Conducts. Naming Policy When creating a character or guild name for Star Wars: The Old Republic, it is encouraged that you select a name that reflects the theme of the game. The guidelines listed below outline the types of names that you can NOT use, and apply to both player or character names, as well as guild names. You may not use any names that violate the General Rules. This includes the use of names that are hateful, defamatory, racist, ethnically offensive, obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit, or any other language that is offensive in nature. You may not use names that are harassing or defamatory to other players or employees of EA, BioWare or LucasArts, e.g. EASUX, Timsretarded, and Biowaresux. You may not use names of any EA, BioWare, or LucasArts employee or service related to Star Wars: The Old Republic. You may not use names of copyrighted or trademarked characters, materials or products, e.g. Coca-Cola or Dr. Pepper. You may not use names from popular culture or media, e.g. Lady Gaga or George Lucas. You may not use names that are religiously or historically significant, e.g. Jesus, Winston Churchill. You may not use proper names of areas within Star Wars for character names. Guild names, however, MAY use the proper names of specific areas to help promote role-playing and realm pride, e.g. Defenders of Tython or Protectors of Hutta. You may not use proper names of non-player characters within Star Wars: The Old Republic, e.g. Darth Malgus, Satele Shan, Yoda, Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker. You may not use names containing titles or ranks within them, e.g. General Supertrooper, Captain Tim, Darth Timmy, Knight Wakey. You may not use names that refer to drugs or that are drug related. You may not use names that contain an inappropriate phrase, sentence or any fragment of a sentence or Leet speak, e.g. uberhaxer, xxspeederxx, lolface, rofl, Noobwhacker, TimmyF**k, kock, fuk. You may not use misspellings or alternative spellings of names that violate any of the above rules, e.g. Hamsolo, Yooda, DorthVader. You may not use gibberish names when creating character, e.g. ajsdu, rifndsw, qweszs. If you violate any part of the above Naming Policy you will either be assigned a new name, or given the option of changing the name. In addition to this, your account could incur a penalty up to and including account closure.
  12. These forums are horrible. People crying left and right DEMANDING things to get done. The game was just released! Constructive feedback is great, but demanding anything makes you sound childish. I am enjoying the game and looking forward to future content. Great job EA/Bioware, really love what you guys have put together. Grow up, the real world is a lot more harsh. For those of you interested in a more mature forum try reddit.com/r/swtor If you bring your nonsense over there you will get banned.
