  1. I agree with this -- and I have the Chevin set and the Republic Containment Officer set (and the old Title).
  2. It's there right now for me, following your posted link.
  3. While some of the missions were fun - sabotaging the droid race, for example - much of the rest of it consisted of driving round and round Nar Shadda looking for little boxes. And, since the Chevin event was about preparing for the Return of the Gree, and the Gree have been here for over a year, it doesn't make a lot of sense to repeat it. (I'd move the requirement for the Sandpeople Bloodguard outfit no longer part of the Outfits achievement though, along with the Containment Officer ones - as with WoW, achievements that can no longer be obtained should not be part of the standard Achievement tracking -- WoW calls those "Feats of Strength").
  4. I did indeed get the Kath Hound, much to my astonishment, on Alderaan on Friday, but when I looked in the achievements tab, I could not find it. The third one from Ilum was Asharl Panther, of which there are several pairs in the northern part of the Western Ice Shelf (only during the Gree event).
  5. Re James Ohlen: His Twitter still claims he's "Game Director of SW:TOR" but the last tweet on that appears to be from 26 July 2013. He's still listed on the bottom left of the "Meet the Team" page of http://www.bioware.com/en/careers/?locations%5B%5D=44#meet-the-team as "VP, Studio Creative Director - BioWare Austin". Still, he's been awfully quiet in the last year.
  6. While this is true, The Shroud has already been shown to use "a double", so in this context Watcher X may likely have been ahead of the game also.
  7. Terrak Morrhage was invited in. The Shielding technique could indeed be used to separate the Ghosts from the Inquisitor in exactly the same way as Morrhage was blocked from his host -- but it does indeed require a great deal of concentration from the Consular. However, as has been pointed out, the availability of a Voss Mystic's precognition, and of the Voss Commandos and Esh-Ka warriors, and state-of-the-art Balmorran droid armies, might well be able to create a (temporary) situation where the Inquisitor could be distracted long enough for that to work. In terms of raw power and talent, the two are probably evenly matched.
  8. It's a channeled cast. Move when it starts casting that.
  9. Personally, I use Emergency Fleet Pass then use the Oricon transport from the console outside the Hangars.
  10. Obroan power boost and mainstat boost are better than Underworld, but worse than Dread Forged.
  11. Half of a hundred dollar bill is not legal tender, and can't be used to buy anything (unless the person you're buying from has the other half) so the analogy doesn't quite work...
  12. Achievements shouldn't be for things that people can no longer get. As with WoW's achievement system, they should be moved to a different category. And I say this as the owner of a full set of Republic Containment Officer gear from the original Outbreak event, and a full set of the Sandpeople Blood Guard gear from the Chevin Scavenger hunt. (Incidentally, I wonder how many people managed to get both sets of Containment Officer gear? Most people that I know only had decent level characters on one faction or the other, not both, back then).
  13. Huh? The Torchy/A3000 Sonic Needler look-alike has been in the Cartel Market for about a month now?
  14. That reminds me, about a month ago I was tanking The Foundary on my Powertech. We had a Merc healer (level 38ish?), who kept insisting that the Concussion Missile didn't work on humanoids... took me 3 packs to get her to just TRY the damn thing. Made life a lot easier after that, since the DPS were a Sniper and a Marauder, both of whole could disable Droids.
  15. For un-ranked Warzones, the Bolster should work such that the stat contribution from any given equipment slot (meaning the sum of any hilts/armorings/mods/enhancements, but NOT augments) should not exceed that of the entry-level PVP piece in that slot (and in fact should be a little less, so for example it could be set to the level of the older Partisan gear). This easy to do for armor, mainstat and endurance, but for "secondary stats" (power, crit, surge, alacrity, defense etc) this may require "scaling". (This includes Mainhand and Offhand - so sure, come into a Warzone with your iLevel 78 mh+oh, but it won't perform any better than Partisan piece, in terms of damage and force/tech power). Once that's been done, the slot can be assigned a nominal Expertise value equal to that of the entry level PVP slot, if, and only if, it has no expertise. (Otherwise it will use the Expertise it has, which would thus punish mix-and-match PVE+PVP). The net result of these will be that people can begin to PVP in whatever PVE gear they are currently wearing, even if it's level 20 greens, and be competitive based on skill, but if they want to have better stats/better performance, they need to invest in PVP gear. This would also reduce the need to fiddle with the numbers every time a new set of PVE gear is introduced, and new PVP "seasons" can be decoupled from PVE releases.
  16. Take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
  17. The Teasers were also on the Twitter feed -- where there is another update: January 14, 2014 http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Hyland_Organization_for_Rakghoul_Neutralizaton
  18. I too have not noticed a significant change for the Male Consular on Oricon. I do recall thinking that in the post-level-50 stuff sounded as if he'd gotten a cold from all the running around on Hoth and Ilum.
  19. Nice idea, and it would work for the non-Moddable pieces but how would this account things like a full 78 MH/OH but with an Expertise crystal? or a single PVP mod or enhancement? "Just" losing 100 or so Expertise vs. having a ton of extra damage/force power/stats is probably still no good...
  20. Also on the Red Eclipse, but at least case 1 can't be a general AE problem as I've had flagged enemy players run through my Gunslinger's XS Flyby during the Gree event without being flagged. And, while I didn't expect to be flagged by lobbing a snowball on a flagged enemy player, that is kind of understandable. Your third case, however, might explain some of the problems.
  21. Combat Technique/Dark Charge requires the use of a DBLS or Electrostaff. While you could go to Combat Technique with a DBLS, then swap to a single-bladed saber, then you still can't use Force Breach/Discharge or Whirling Blow/Lacerate so you will be relying solely on Slow Time/Wither for aggro on anything except your primary target. While this may be fine if you have a group of friends that can compensate for the limitations, inflicting that sort of gimping on a group finder group should be grounds for a vote kick.
  22. As a tank, you usually want to have "auto-target nearest enemy" selected to pick up mobs -- and this is an occupational hazard of that (and one of the less frequently used benefits of being a Shadow tank). DPS have fewer excuses for that one but I've seen more than one force-leap into Styrak's Beam-of-Death clones... Props for sharing this with us
  23. AMR has not yet been updated to include the changes from 2.5. They make no money from the SWTOR stuff because unlike say Torhead they don't have a lot of page impressions on which to sell advertising. (This is why I bought a membership, because I find their SWTOR "armory" service has no other counterparts).
  24. "Guardian Leap" would have been fine... even a drunken one. Unfortunately, this was a Force Leap....
  25. The Protection buff needs to last 15 seconds. The rest of the changes are tolerable. However, the whole Shelter thing needs reworking. I get the distinct feeling that the Dev team is somehow really proud of Phase Walk and wanted to make it useful. In practice, the only time I've actively used Phase Walk's primary function - teleportation - while tanking is to get out of being stuck in a tree during hard mode Styrak thanks to a buggy Force Pull. If Shelter also gave the ability to place Phase Walk using using mouse positioning, or on a friendly target (with a range of, say, 15 meters) would largely address a lot of these problems, and give Sin/Shadow tanks some of the vertical mobility that's available to Jug/Guardian and PT/VG tanks.
