  1. I don't really understand it. I know they are items that I can pass along to all member of my legacy, however these things are so pathetic I don't see why I would? I always get a token for a construction kit saying it gets me a "POWERFUL" piece of legacy equipment, and I get some little dinky level 14 gear that isn't even moddable. Does legacy gear level up? Am I spending these tokens wrong (I spend them at the vendors on Dromund Kaas, down the stairs)?
  2. Well not 8k at one time, but you can easily stack those 5ks in a matter of seconds. If I had a nickel for every time I went from >15% to 100% (With 20k health AND while being attacked) from a single healer focusing on me, I'd have a couple dollars. I'm just saying healers are easily doing 400k (And over 1 million on maps like Voidstar). If you start removing damage and AoE damage, Healers will basically keep everyone alive with no problem. It's already bad enough if you enter a game with 3 healers. Had one last night only 3 deaths on our team, and it was the same guy who was too busy hunting away from the group. Stop calling them healers and just call them "Immortal Generators".
  3. They're not going to nerf Smash, so long as healers are putting up equal-to-greater numbers. You can't take away one classes 4-8k crit attack and leave healers with 6-8k crit healing AND all those damn medpac/stims. Literally NO ONE would die.
  4. So I was planning on buying some Battlemaster Gear and swapping out the Armoring and Mods into a custom PvP piece. . .However, I just learned that the Armoring are bound to bodyparts (Hands, Head, Chest, etc.). Are all of them like this? If so what should I do about armoring? Just eat a huge price on GTM and get a piece with 0 Expertise? Or is there a piece of armor with a transferable armoring piece?
  5. I always find it amusing when I hit a full-cycle of diverse consecutive stuns before dying. 1. Hold eyes and shaking. 2. Knocked to the floor and unable to get up. 3. Electrocuted and seizing. 4. Floating in the air. 5. Killed. I can only assume the Resolve bar is for aesthetics? Make the UI look more 'techy' and 'complex'? They should just offer a "Stun-locked" medal in PVP.
  6. Cool thanks. Wa wondering if I'd have to double-dip into my wallet to obtain more coins.
  7. I don't think anyone ever gives MVP votes rationally. I start a game and get 1st with 16k Objective points, planting winning bomb and defusing 2 bombs on Voidstar: 0 MVP votes I get thrown into a losing game where I got 0 kills for 1 death: 4 MVP votes
  8. Or was that a one-time promotional offer to thank current subscribers? Just wondering if it goes Free2Play, if being a subscriber would bank anymore Coins?
  9. I find it funny, the same people who ultimately cost you the victory are the first to dole out the blame to EVERYONE else on the team. I am a DPS, but we were playing Huttball, so worked on getting 3 scores and helped guide a 4th. At the end of the game (which we lost) the guy with a lot of Damage points (But barely any Attacker/Defender points) starts saying I suck because my DPS was too low. -It's Huttball! it's not about DPS. It's about scoring, which I did 3 times. But no, it's MY fault we lost the game because I wasn't running around buffing my stats and collecting medals like he was. Everytime I see someone blaming another player, again, it's usualy the complainer that is at fault. My "ignore" list has been growing by leaps and bounds.
  10. If you're completely ungeared you'll take a devastating hit. I managed a freak 7k in Champion gear during one WZ. However, since then with BM/WH gear I usually average 4900-5200. I still have a lot of "Catch-up" to do because I've only just returned to SWTOR after months away. But the fact of the matter is the Smashes don't matter. 50% my Smashes are absorbed for 0 damage or a healer negates them with 5k-10k healing via abilites/medpacs/etc. And I've still been shot/stabbed by smugglers and operatives for comparable 5k-7k damage. And this is a class that can immobilize you for 30 seconds to a solid minute. Smash just gets all the attention because it's the most obvious. Doesn't mean it's the best skill it just inflates the scoreboard numbers. I've had games with 400k damage and only 15 kills and others with 200k and 65 kills. Games where my smash has dominated I've gotten lower stats other than total DPS (Which is meaningless).
  11. With the exception of the last, they look far too similar to the Xenotech vest. Shame. Do we know how much the Nihilus Mask is, and if Marauders can equip it AND have a hood up?
  12. 1. "you're" not Darth Vader 2. Your example makes no sense. Just because the object being choked moves, doesn't mean the choke itself moves with it. If a Sith is choking someone 3ft in front of them and the body is yanked away, that choke is still taking place 3ft in front of them. It's not like moving the body magically takes it out of range, the choke remains in the same location along with anything in its grasp. As for the "long" cooldown, it's a mere 60 seconds. And it's not like you're wasting it -heck- you end up pulling the ball-carrier 30-40% across the field of play. You act like it's an ability that requires a lot of thought to deploy. Like you can only use it once or twice per WZ.
  13. When it comes to WoW discussion, I think a lot of it boils down to fanboyism. I've seen people blast SWTOR for copying certain aspects of WoW, then turn around and blast it for NOT copying certain aspects of WoW. Baiscally their logic is: They hate it for being too similar to WoW, but they also hate it for not being similar enough to WoW. Which translates to: "I just don't like Swtor because it's not WoW". It's understandable, why drop your endgame cream-of-the-crop level 85 character and start over at the bottom of the barrel on equal footing with EVERYONE ELSE in another game? You have an investment.; Time and money you spent. I'm not saying anything bad about WoW, I'm just saying for some people SWTOR can do no right in their eyes.
  14. Whenever I use Force Choke in Huttball to delay a score or hold an enemy back until back-up arrives, a teammate just mindlessly pulls him directly out of my grasp, half-way across the field with no penalty. It's an obvious Ability imbalance. Bad enough Force Choke rarely stuns an enemy, but when it does they can use a move to completely negate it before it's even complete? Worse yet, I can't use Force Choke (Or any ability for that matter) to stop an enemy from pulling. It's a channeled ability, it should have some priority over the others because your character is actively devoted to using this move. Or at least balance it so I can yank pulled enemies out of the air by choking. ***-for-tat. lol edited "t!t" And i know it's funny to apply physics, or even logic, to a video game, especially a sci-fi one. . .But if I'm holding someone by the neck, and his teammate violently yanks his body. . .His head would probably pop off. tl;dr: If someone pulls an ally that is being force choked they should take significant damage. Add strategy to this game, make people have to think about WHEN to use an ability and give them consequences if they don't think.
  15. In my 50s bracket I lose about 1-in-5 games from this format: a) We automatically cap 2 nodes b) Some people try to cap the 3rd for some reason, leaving the other 2 undermanned c) They begin hunting and get lured miles away from the node to get a kill, again, leaving the defenders undermanned. It should be an easy win, just defend until time expires, but I often find myself alone defending against 4 attackers, with no call responders. That'd be cool, but I don't think the server demographics would allow it to work as smoothly as we'd want. I know on my server it's be 50 imps chasing around 5 Pubs until they wise up and just refuse to go after that daily in which no one would earn it. That's basically how old Ilum worked. There was an Imperial Gypsy camp right outside the gates of the Republic Base.
  16. Well, I do remember how bad the farming was, however I've been in RWZs where people just use Dash/Pull to combochain instant Huttball scores so the game lasts literally 1 minute. Because of all the CCs you're lucky if you get 1 medal before your (or the enemy) team finishes the game. You get most of your medals from that new "Under 8 minutes victory" medals. As for people deliberately playing towards the quests and ignoring the objectives. . .How is that any different than now? I see people constantly ignoring objectives to secure their 8 medals. I think that's unavoidable no matter what. At least this way they have a reason to be doing it.
  17. True, I've been stuck babysitting where I might get 6-10 kills only when someone decides to come over and ninja cap. But in games like Huttball you can't help but get a good 20-25 kills if not much more because you're constantly defending against opponents. Worst case scenario you gotta play 10 games or so to get it, and you might not get it in 1 day (Mayb 2-3 days), but still it's better than nothing.
  18. Well that's fine because at least the majority of the group is now grouped and can hop on [General] and "LF1M". There's no penalty for leaving the pre-group queue and that basicaly leaves 3-7 players high-and-dry.
  19. There's only 1 daily and 1 weekly, while PvE has about 4 weeklies and 4 dailies. Why aren't there more challenges for those that choose to play PvP over PvE? There should be more challenges like: Weekly: Get 100k accumulative Objective Points. Daily: Kill 100 enemies Daily: Attack/Heal/Take 1 million points of damage (accumulative) etc.
  20. I love when I get stun-locked by operatives/smugglers and when they kill me in like 5 seconds it shows their "killing blow" with a number like 5000 or 6200. With that amount of ridiculous DPS do you really need to stun me 4 consecutive times for a solid minute? And if you do survive the onslaught of their stun-lock strategy and get them to a point where they're on the ropes, they can just stealth away completely unscathed. They get the lethal DPS plus all the bells & whistles in the ability department. Sweet balance system. I just like to pretend my Marauder has narcolepsy and that's why he stops fighting for minutes at a time. . .It keeps me sane.
  21. Well they didn't set up enough (or really any) penalties to prevent certain players from dictating other player's queue chances. Queuing up and not grouping up should have a penalty (you basically wasted that group's time by not committing. And seeing as wait times are literally hours for some, that's a BIG deal). I don't fault someone for leaving after a queue if the group doesn't pan out. I've been in situations where I was forced to co-tank because our "Tank" wasn't really qualified. And I was a DPS so I had practically zilch in tanking ability. But to deny before the group even forms and leave everyone hanging. Forcing 2/4 of the team to sit in queue for another 1-2 hours while you can just re-queue in the next 5 minutes. I know it makes me sound old & bitter, but they really are 'spoiled' by thelow queue times. There needs to be some sort of system that makes them have to REALLY think about screwing over their comrades, instead of "Eh, I'll re-queue and just find another group. No biggy!" Although, I am less [selfishly] upset now that I finally got my Xenotech Weaponmaster's Vest from Lost Island.
  22. Now this feature just makes me more angry than anything else. Hardly the "convenience" BW made it out to be. What I am experiencing is in my 2-4 hour queue time (Yes, and that's on a GOOD day. ) when a group FINALLY comes together the Healer will refuse to queue and the group is disbanded. It's ALWAYS the healer. I understand a Healer shouldn't be 'forced' into a game they don't want to play, but why even queue up in the first place? It seems the feature has 'spoiled' them to become choosey because they know they can just re-queue in >5 minutes. They're abusing the system and it's just making a flawed mechanic even worse. And most of the time they're just regular easy 'ol SM flashpoints. Not like there's a dire group mechanic that justifies turning up your nose to the queue'd teammates. Practically any 4-man team, even one not properly specialized can complete them. I know it says "You will be replaced at the top of the queue" but that means absolutely nothing. It still takes another 2 hours to re-queue. It's more so just a polite lie to prevent you from rage-quitting Group Finder.
  23. So instead of crafting Might (18 Str + 12 End) Augments I should go with the Redoubt (18 Defense + 12 Power?)? Or should I just buy Surge Augs since I can't craft them? Thanks for the tips.
  24. So is Expertise doing all that? Or your 78% Surge? I have similar stats, but the best I can do is like 400k a match. Granted I only have 1 EWH saber (And the offhand is just WH) and the rest of my gear is unaugmented Battlemaster. . .But dang. My stats when buffed: Strength: 1636 Endurance: 1563 Expertise: 1099 Crit: 39.14% Surge: 73.08% Accuracey: 103.75 I guess my PvE gear (Rakata Bracers/Belt and Matrix M7-G0 cube) are holding me back? Ithought the Strength/endurance bonuses would be worth it but apparently not? Should I give up focusing on Strength and move to Power or Surge?
  25. Am I that big of a liability? I expect to be more useless in Hardmode, but I thought I'd be fairly viable in Story Mode. 1700 Strength 18300 Health 40% Critical Chance 74% Surge Crit 106% Accuracy I can basically solo all the PvE Bonus series and Dailies with Quinn healing me. Thought an SM Op wouldn't be that drastically tougher? Granted, I know I'm a PvPer and speced that way, I just thought that meant I'd have to avoid the "Hard Mode"/ "Nightmare Mode" stuff. Not that I was stumped from doing ANY PvE?
