  1. Will we see content that requires plenty of time spent on a single boss? For example, Hard modes in World of Warcraft in the current expansion, or regular raids in Burning Crusade. Ops that are over with in about 2 hours (factoring in bugs and organization) are not as epic and fun as raids that would spend more time on less bosses in my opinion.
  2. I believe that in the video linked, he said that there will be 3rd party damage meters, and personal damage meters that are provided by bioware.
  3. Not sure if trolling, probably is the case but whatever. First a rakata geared player has no real reason to do normal or hard mode FPs aside from maybe getting biometric crystal alloy for 1.2, and it is more likely that the rakata player will just go with other rakata players to a normal EV that takes about 30 minutes just to get the alloy. Second, normal is a joke, so casuals can do that. Third Rakata isnt very good for pvp.
  4. Eternity Vault takes all of 1 hour for normal, and also automatically distributes loot.
  5. I would rather them just reassign Qyzen's class from Bounty Hunter/Trooper to Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior and have him be based off Strength and using Vibroblades. Doing hard modes can get frustrating when nonstop Str pieces drop that absolutely nobody can use in the run.
  6. Thanks for adding such a well informed opinion to this post. Even if you are "trolling" at least have the common decency to back up a point with facts instead of random observations. This idea that combat logs/damage meters are "handholding", is so asinine. A combat log will not tell you how to play your class. You as a player are still required to adjust your strategy. A combat log will also identify what causes deaths, something that can't accurately be tracked in the middle of a hectic encounter. For a lesser example, I am a healer, and was healing a guild run of Hard Mode False Emperor. On the first boss (with the ship) I observed a lot of people getting hit by the rocket strike that you can avoid by staying out of the red targeting reticule. They said they were out of the range of the ability, but on my screen they were in it completely. With how the game can be buggy at times, I could not accurately tell if that was what had happened. With a combat log, I could look in and see if the ability did damage them and make sure that we were being careful to stay out of it.
  7. In lore, smugglers aren't fighters. They might be able to pull some dirty tricks, but usually you would be more concerned with getting your cargo to the buyer quickly and safely, and avoid conflicts. Han happened to be an accomplished marksman because he washed out of the Imperial Academy because he couldn't take it when an officer was beating a wookiee.
  8. the Aurebesh translates to Watch. Presumably pedestrians.
  9. The reason they close threads is because all that is, is spam for the sake of spam. Nobody really needs to know, or cares if you post 20 "Cancelled my sub today" threads. There are enough already. I am so annoyed at the amount of people that just refuse to let this game succeed. If you don't like the game, don't play it. It is that simple. Don't troll the games forums, don't spread malicious lies (like the banning emails that have gone around pretty much every gaming website) Will some players quit? Yes. Will some stay? Yes. This was a very smooth launch, with a lot of things going for it. While there may be some bugs, and issues with the game, people need to take into consideration that it has been out for less than a month (even if you figure that early access was the actual launch, which it was not). Other games have had much worse launches. Age of Conan had nothing past a certain level, and you were forced to grind your way up, and with no endgame at launch. WoW went through so many changes during vanilla, and even more throughout the expansions. And that is another thing. WoW has 6-7 some odd years to develop itself. Compare current WoW to vanilla WoW. There were horrible stat allotment on gear, certain classes were nearly useless, dungeons and raids (up to a point) were almost identical with barely any variety. But guess what, The last half of WoW before it received an expansion was when they started getting it right. You have to remember that vanilla wow had like 14 major content patchs, adding battlegrounds, dungeons, raids, fixing or updating classes, removing certain aspects of the game. Naxxramas in vanilla was really when class itemization hit its best point in WoW, but hardly anyone saw it. Until then you could see healing classes with strength gear, classes that gained nothing from spell damage receiving gear that increased it, etc. With regards to flight, that limited every expansion since BC. It was frustrating to have to rebuy the ability to fly in each expansion, and it limited the direction the game could go. As much as I personally feel Star Wars should have flying mounts, the sheer amount of gameplay balance that would have to go into a move like that would probably make any attempt to add that feature a nightmare. In summation, if you do not like the game, do not spread malicious lies, or try and rile people who do like the game up. And give the game time to evolve and grow and find its place in the market. Personally I love it, and will be playing for a while. At least give them a chance.
  10. For the record, someone said that Sages have the weakest resource regeneration of all the classes. That is wrong. They have one of the best, if not the best, coupled with exceptionally high resources in the first place. Seer sages have Crit on Healing Trance to proc free Noble Sacrifice. TK has Disruption stack Force Regen. Not sure what Balance has, but it seems more PVP ish, and I haven't specced into it.
  11. Please don't implement any form of melee combat aside from what already exists. I rolled a Consular Sage to heal and use Force attacks. If I wanted to be a Consular that uses a Saber for damage, I would have rolled Shadow, or more likely, rolled either Advanced Class that a Jedi Knight has.
  12. You know why sandstorms are deadly in a desert? Yeah, Telekinetic Throw is like that on a smaller scale, and with bigger rocks.
  13. I don't think you are actually reading my post. The missions that you buy off the market, or get to drop in the world, are lower level than my current skill, but I need the materials they give because my Cybertech hasn't caught up yet. Missions that cost 2K or so to buy from another player, then pay another 2k for the companion to embark on it, then wait an hour and a half to complete, should not be able to fail.
  14. That is not the issue, I have rank 5 unlocked for Underworld, and purchased missions for rank 4. Regular missions you get, whatever, I'm ok if those fail once in a while, but missions you have to have drop or purchase shouldnt be fail-able.
  15. Let me preface this by saying I love the crew skill system, and pretty much everything else about this game. I've been following for about as long as they have announced it, so don't take this as a troll or just an attack for no reason. The crew mission failure rate should not exist when it comes to missions you buy or have drop. I just spent an hour and a half waiting on Qyzen to finish mission, only to have it fail, and C2-N2 spent 50 minutes only to fail. It is frustrating enough when regular missions fail, but usually the missions take only 25-30 minutes so far and its not as bad. But it is incredibly frustrating when a bought mission fails while companions were out for over an hour.
