  1. And usually I need the orbs to heal myself, I can try to get her into 1 out of 5 orbs or so, at max. But like I said, it's almost impossible for me to reach the orbs, because she pulls me back to her and roots me repeatedly when I try to reach them.
  2. She keeps moving away from me if I try to fight her at one place.
  3. Well, I tried all the tips I've read here on the forums. However, I keep dying, most of the time within 5-8 minutes on my Sentinel. I have to constantly run towards the orbs, cannot even attack her. But sooner or later I cannot reach the orbs anymore, because Vaylin pulls me back to her and roots me repeatedly, usually 3 times in a row, then she does the Basketball bounce move on me, or the syponing while my break is still on cooldown and I'm dead. Sometimes she also hits me with a random 12k and that's the end then. Guess I can unsubscribe after 5 years
  4. It's not only lightsaber hilts. It's all modable equipment that's lacking. It sucks. I wish they would bring them back as heroic mission rewards, drops from FPs and the comm vendors. No idea why they removed it.
  5. Yes, I do. On The Red Eclipse. I also have these ping spikes and get the red X eventually, sometimes getting kicked to server select screen. What I did today was logging onto a character on an East Coast server once this started. No problem there. Then I logged back on The Red Eclipse, and the problem was gone there as well.
  6. My whole PC (Windows 10) crashes whenever I use the Taxi on Rep side Belsavis, from The starting OP to the Bonus OP (Wilderness OP). On Imp side I crash using the taxi to Bug Town. I have guildies where using these taxis only crashes the game. In my case, like I said, my whole PC crashes.
  7. In regards to who is Rey, I also think she's Luke's daughter. I would guess Luke was devastated over his failure with Ben (Kylo) and was afraid to mess up with Rey as well. So he didn't want to be close to her, because he felt he would be a danger to her, causing her to fall to the dark side as well. So better leave her with someone else, with no knowledge of her force sensitivity,on a remote planet, and go into exile himself. In the scene where Rey remembers being abandoned, she looks like 7 - 10 years old. So if she's 10 years younger than Kylo, that could work. I think Han Solo's death was a good one. Going out in a blaze of glory is so cliché. He went out, showing compassion for his son, his family. That's what a father does when his family is in danger. He sacrifices himself for it. Sure it's not the Han Solo of Episode IV, or maybe V. But in Episode VI we definitely already saw a first glimpse of that Han Solo.
  8. In-game, no. But I suggest reading this: http://www.swtor.com/blog/regrets
  9. It's not limited to Treek anymore. Lots, if not most of the new companions keep babbling during combat, all the time. It's so annoying. Some of them give more than one comment per mob attacked.
  10. Just pick the choice you want, and later, when you made it back to 10000 dark side, the lightside points will be erased anyways. So you will again be at 0/10000. Once you reach a max alignment, the remaining points of the opposite alignment get erased. At least pre-KotFE.
  11. Yes, I always thought the Clone Wars were a war of the republic against an army, or several armies, of clones. And that they had help from Jedi Knights, which I didn't see as that huge, organized Order it turned out to be in the Prequels. Whether this war was something like a clone rebellion, or a war against an outside power, I didn't know of course. But I certainly didn't expect anything like I saw in the Prequels eventually. I became a Stawars fan around 1983 I think, when I was 6 years old. So I was living with my personal view, of these clone wars and Jedi background for more than 10 years, until it all got shattered. And of course I thought Obi-Wan met Anakin as an adult freighter or fighter pilot, and not as a child. But that's another topic I guess
  12. I had the same at first, but after a second attempt it worked.
  13. Class: Jedi Sentinel And yes, I was in the chapter when the servers went down for the second time today. I had just started it prior to shut-down.
  14. As the title says, the terminal is not clickable. Everyone in general chat (The Red Eclipse) is complaining about it. I'm standing in front of it too. Progress in the quest not possible.
  15. No point for me to be excited. Since I cannot log into the game anymore since wednesday for reasons only Bioware probably knows, I will not be able to play the expansion. Ah well, one sub less for them.
  16. My reason to unsubscribe might well be the fact that since yesterday they don't want me to play the game anymore. Or otherwise I cannpt explain the fact that the launcher doesn't work anymore since their upgraade and they expect me to find and try a solution for this. Just spent 2 hours of *my*, while I'm a paying customer and they are getting payed to provide a service, and nothing helped. If I take my car to the garage because of a problem they caused, and they tell me "well, you have try and fix this yourself, because it's your car", then I would not go there anymore. So it might well be that I unsubscribe over this.
  17. So for several years I could play the game without problems. Then they decide to "upgrade/update" the launcher and since yesterday I cannot log into the game anymore because the launcher gets stuck. I'm conntinuously subscribed since pre-launch and now I have to put up with this crap and *I* have to find a fix for this?! I just spent 2 hours going through all the recommended steps, and as far as it looks now, I have to go through several hours of reinstalling the whole game, because none of this worked. The old launcer worked fine for years, you could have given me the option if I want a new one or not. I wouldn't have wanted a new one, because of the wise saying "never change a running system". I'm NOT a happy customer.
  18. Can anyone explain to me what the point of levels is if I get downscaled on low level planets? What's the use of getting "rewards appropriate to my level" from doing heroics or whatever on a low level planet? Why don't we just remove leveling up? With scaling, the level is just an abstract artifact, just because "an RPG needs levels". But I don't see the point if we get scaled down. So please, anyone explain to me why we still need levels with scaling.
  19. I don't understand why we are bothering with levels anyways if we get downgraded. Why doesn't everyone either start at lvl 60 (65) or everyone stays at lvl 1? Would make things a lot easier. And fair, regarding some comments here.
  20. English is not my native language, but the way I read "all but fallen" is that they still exist, but they are basically not a factor to consider anymore. They are incapable of doing anything meaningful anymore.
  21. DUal wielding doesn't really allow you to attack twice as fast. In the time it takes you to turn your body by roughly 180 degrees to strike with the second weapon, you can easily attack at least a second time while only wearing 1 weapon. Real sword fighting is not these huge, ridiculous and overdramatic swings you are used to see in films and comics. That is true for steel weapons (which are not as heavy as many people seem to think) and even more so for lightsabers, that basically weigh nothing at all. If you face your opponent in a way that you can attack him with both weapons at once, you sacrifice reach. Reach in close combat equals speed. Reach and speed are the most essential things in sword fighting. I can see dual wielding having some benefits against multiple opponents, but not in 1 vs 1.
  22. SWG went live late 2003, the CU (Combat Upgrade) went live March or April 2005, shortly after the "Rage of the Wookiees" expansion. It's easy to remember, since it was a tie in with Episode III. That's more than 6 months. What you mean is probably Pub9, with the Jedi village, which removed the Holocron grind. This had nothing to do with the CU though. The NGE went live roughly half a year after the CU (late 2005)
  23. The Seperatists could never have won, because the whole conflict was just a setup to overthrow the Republic from within, destroy the Jedi Order and for Palpatine to become Emperor. No matter how many battles the Seperatists would have won, in the end they would have lost and Palpatine would have ruled the Galaxy.
  24. Some of these ideas would be nice. But the way the game is built, I doubt it's possible to be implemented. It's not a sandbox game.
  25. If they remove any existing quest, they will also remove my subscription, that they had since pre-launch. These days I don't have much time to play, and I have some characters I still need to level up, and I didn't "do everything a million times" yet. I actually enjoy these side quests that lots of people here seem to find annoying. EDIT: And I want to do them when my story leads me to that planet, not to "build an alliance", nor do I want to get rid of companions. Sorry for being negative about the whole expansion thing. But so far I'm more worried than excited. If I want a different game, I go and start a different game. If Bioware want me to play a different game than what I originally got, then I will do just that.
