  1. Why do people always have to hyperbole? Giving someone the advice to "try the other healers" why you obviously haven't really played them yourself is a bad idea. I am playing both tech and force based healer and both of them are fully heal specced and pvp experienced (R50+). All the healing types have advantages and disadvantages. I absolutely love healing as my Scoundrel for example, actually a bit more then on my Sage. Both have different toolsets and both have different strengths. A great Scoundrel healer at lvl 50 in pvp destroys the healing output of a sage btw, if played right. Just because most are playing sage healers doesn't mean they are much more powerful. They are probably a bit easier to play however (but then you get stealth as a medium armor healer).. and regarding your edit: you are correct if you talk pve (but that is true for tech healers as well. All you need is making sure you don't fall too low which is really not that heave to do. My Scoundrel heals heal for more per cast then my Sage heals for example) but in pvp this is a totally different beast and more complex then you make it out to be. Just saying

  4. Just out of curiousity - how do you buy lvl 50 pvp gear if you need the tokens that come out of bags you can't open until you are lvl 50? Unless you meant that one lvl 50 bag you can buy (which is unique). That is nice to have but won't give you any kind of advantage really.

    Yeah because in a heated pvp battle everyone can totally keep track of a 10 second timer just to get a slight possible benefit due to timing at the start of a battle - are you seriously basing your whole op argument on this little example? I say it again, if your sage can a) keep track of a timer like that and b) can take advantage of it since he obviously never loses the bubble beforehand, the team you are facing is totally incompetent. I personally am busy monitoring my team members, trying to los the bunch of melee on my *** and a few range who noticed I am healing, swearing at all my GCDs, monitoring my consumables...

    And that's an issue why? If you are not being focused by the other team and under pressure they are doing it wrong..

I just really find the difference annoying when it comes to interrupting for objectives in WZ..More (true) instant cast abilities means faster interrupt times and less time to recover and come back from a death while someone is trying to cap. Also, is the sorcs force wave mirror instant or does it also have the jumping animation first which also delays the kb on Sage side?
  9. Me too - the only problem is that I am currently social rank 1 and it's getting too late to properly work on that rank :/ FP farming is not fun.

    Again the issue lays in the combination of three different skill trees and not one tree in particular. If I go full healer I can't really kill **** in pvp unless I outgear and outexpertise them by far. "Good player" in your case is exacly that: Someone who outgears and outexpertises his opponents and has probably been grinding way faster then anyone else to end game pvp gear. Not to mention, as a full healer specced sage I do NOT have that many cc skills. Again, talking about "Sorcs" or "Sages" only is unhelpful. Instead you should be discussing builds and consumables including relic use and stims imo.

    Oh, look, it's this thread again. You know what? Before crying OP and nerf think about the combinations of the three available trees to sages/sorcs. While the lightning stuff is horribly annoying if you are going to take away the cc abilities from my counselor skill tree then F... you very much. All you dps crying, do you actually know how hard and frustrating it is to play a healer in pvp? All you see is "OMG, I cannot get this guy down, it's a healer! NERF!" Again, I do incredibly well as a full specced healer in the following situations: I have a tank that is guarding me and knows not to just run around like a headless chicken. I have a team who helps me when I get jumped and Focus Fired. I play against a team who has no clue how to FF a healer Yet, I go down like a wet noodle if: The team we play against is REALLY focusing on me as soon as I show my face. No amount of guard and self heal will get me through this if your side knows how to interrupt. I don't have a guard around to take damage for me. I am really getting tired of this stupid nerf this and nerf that threads. In most cases it means you should nerf the team the healer is playing with because they actually know what they are doing.. And for the record: I hit like a wet noodle as full healer, so if you try to outlast me in a 1vs1 fight and you can't a) kill me fast enough to have a friend help you or b) kill me fast enough so I actually get you down for one reason or another and we were equally geared and level wise (or expertise) then you are just really not playing your dps well..

  14. I see, I haven't actively used it and won't but that explains some really fast deliverance casts after healing trance on my part. I quite often interrupt Trance for a follow up boosted deliverance.

  16. There are also pilot sets you can buy from the spaceship vendors on the fleet. The first one only needs social rank 1. I don't remember if the pants were brown, though. In any case I THINK one of the two light armor pants were brown.
  17. OH give me a break..as much as I hate Sorcs - don't write stuff like this without being able to back it up..Seriously.. This is seriously starting to piss me off. When are you people going to learn that it's not always black and white. Did he have a guard? Did people actually TRY to interrupt/stun/kb? Did they know WHICH skills to interrupt? See, yesterday (talking 10 to 49 brackets so there is no expertise issue) I did some WZ with pugs. I normally play with my guildies but they all hit lvl 50 now so I need to play catch-up. I was however fortunate enough to be grouped up with a Great Tank who kept me guarded at all times and stuck with me. We won a few WZs with easy but then we got put into different rotations. I got a tell afterwards saying how much a difference it was for him now. Not to mention for me. I got destroyed within seconds on some of the follow up WZs, not only because the team we were facing afterwards knew how to play. They knew I was healing and the people on me knew how to lock me down completely (even though I know how to play my resolve). Yet in the WZ before I bet everyone on the other side who hit on my and tried to kill me (the guard kept me somewhat alive during the lock-downs but it wasn't as bad so I was acually able to move around and los) thought "omg nerf, healers are totally OP!" while the ones afterwards probably thought: Oh look, it's that healer again, lets eat her for breakfast and have a laugh". Overexagerations are bad, mkay?

I am not discussing if topping the damage boards is important or not (I personally don't really care) - it's just all the topics about sorcs being so powerful (and I have been on the receiving end more then once), so I wonder, if the trees are almost totally identical why is no one complaining about the same for sages. Is it really a l2p issue (I kind of doubt that) or is the Republic side really not as much interested in number crunching, or is it that (even though I kinda thought it's a myth) the Republic just doesn't have the gear yet to dish out the same numbers. SOMETHING must create a difference here
  19. Just change it back the way it was - I do not understand why this needed changing anyway. I normally have no issues with adjusting to changes in a game but this actually had me killed quite a few times in pvp, since specially for long cooldowns you can NOT tell if the CD is met completely or not.

  22. I am asking this since I am playing a full specced healer/Seer and never tried any of our damage trees. I do know the skills obviously and I have theorycrafted possible alternatives should I get too frustrated with healing in pvp. I am also fairly in the know about hybrids. However, I am confused as to why I don't see Sage Damage top damage boards like, ever. While we all are fairly aquanted with the sorc spam and damage in WZs or open world pvp. Are the damage trees so wastly different between the Sage and the Sorcerer?
  23. You do realize you kind of contradict yourself here? The whole discussion is about: Fewer medals for healers = longer to get decent gear. I am sure everyone knows that once you get high end pvp gear you get more medals but that is also true for the other classes who in turn get even more medals as well. It's the actual discrepancy between the different type of playstiles and has nothing to do with "you don't have the gear yet to get those medals".
