  1. Oh it's for sure a bug fix for Command XP. I wouldn't call it an exploit because it happens just by playing the game and queing for an activity but it's def a bug.
  2. Guess you missed the part where I said I like it the way it is. You are wrong though about the one or two goal lead. If your team is good enough to score vs the other team you are going to keep playing and trying to score not turtle. The only time I see the turtle happening is in a game with two very evenly matched teams where it's obvious neither team will be able to score.
  3. It's completely fine the way it is now in my opinion. If for some reason they absolutely felt like it had to be changed then the best way to determine the tie is simple. Right below the scores on the UI have a timer under each team. Whenever your team controls the ball your timer goes up. At the end of the tied match which ever team had control of the ball the longest during the match wins the game. Again, I'm fine with the way it is now though but if I had to change it that's how I would do it.
  4. I can say that I am almost 99.99999% positive that expertise is bugged for same faction duels. On my old server we had several pvp tournaments and duel tourneys back before I quit in May. One of the things we noticed was that in the 1v1 duels people on both factions were stating how they did more damage and took more damage dueling someone from the same faction as opposed to the opposite faction. In fact they actually moved the last 1v1 tourney to outlaws den because so many people complained about dueling same faction that expertise was not working right. For the record though this was back in May I have no idea if this is still the case.
  5. You want to fix the backfill problems this is how you do it. 1. Any player that quits a warzone can not que for warzones again until the warzone they left has completed and all players have left the game. 2. Give every person the option when queing for warzones a box to check to not join games already in Progress. 3. Anyone who does not check the box that joins warzones already in progress gets a bonus to backfilling a warzone. All of the following for staying in a loser that you joined late: 1500 Valor, 50 Commendations, 4 Medals, 2000 Credits you get all of that plus whatever you would get for playing out the match. No you may ask what does this accomplish? First it finally punishes the people that leave with a reasonable time table. You could just as easily put in a 15 minute timer but for some reason making the lockout last the exact length of a warzone seems more fitting. One of the biggest flaws in WoW pvp was always getting stuck in losing battlegrounds you would have thought SWTOR would have learned from that but they didn't. Some people can't deal with losing well and joining a game that's almost always going to be a losing effort just does nothing but create strife when all that person does is complain the whole time about getting in a losing game. SWTOR desperately needs an option to not join in progress games. When you add the option to skip games already in progress you have to have some type of incentive for people to join games already in progress. Otherwise you end up with warzones ending after 2-3 minutes because nobody joins to fill up the game. If you give people a chance to get more valor, commendations, and credits than they would if they had won a full warzone they started you have incentive to join a losing effort. Plus, by giving them 4 medals already it allows them to max out medals in a game already in progress. I pvp on my assassin for the fun of pvp I have full WH gear and nothing to spend comms on that matters. I would probably never opt in to join warzones that are already in progress. However, my sniper who is in half recruit half BM gear I'd join every in progress warzone I could because he needs gear in a bad way and any opportunity for him to get comms at a higher rate will always be welcome.
  6. The problem is not the players it's bioware. MMO players today are lazy very lazy at that, and no matter what you do a vast majority of players are simply too cheap or too lazy to buy recruit gear. Never mind the fact that bioware put a whole set of gear in the game purchasable with credits just so fresh 50's wouldn't get facerolled in 3 seconds in warzones. What bioware needs to do is make an exp requirement to que for level 50 warzones. Compared to most people in warzones I'm fairly understanding when it comes to noobs in recruit gear, but when I see someone with 11khp in lvl 40 greens it just pisses me off. What makes it worse is when you ask them why they don't have recruit gear they say "BM is so easy to get I will just grind up that don't need to waste 400k". I'm sorry but I play warzones to have fun it's not fun carrying some lazy *** that won't put even a half *** effort into being useful. Just make it so to que you need a minium amount of exp.
  7. Marauder/Sentinel damage isn't the problem. Likewise the problem isn't the number of cooldowns either. The problem is when you combine them. As someone who has played marauder plenty I can say without a doubt the survival cooldowns are an absolute necessity in pvp. Without those marauder/sent would be a free kill pretty much. However, with all cooldowns used in a single fight we go from squishy uselessness to overpowered unkillable killing machine. All that really needs to happen is change 2 of the cooldowns so we do less damage while they are active and the problem is fixed. Make our powerful survival cooldowns just that survival cooldowns, make us sacrifice damage to stay alive and no more QQ.
  8. 3 Healers - Merc/Merc/Sorc 1 Jugg - Tank spec 1 Sin - Tank spec 2 Mauraders 1 Sorc - DPS or Hybrid spec CONS: No 5% crit buff Melee heavy Only 1 Pull mechanic (assassin) Only 1 Armor Debuff (Jugg) PROS: High mobility (3 Charges 3 Force Speeds 2 group run speeds) 3 Healers gives you two static defender healers and one floater healer for backup 2 Guards 4 Taunts (easily the most under used and most overpowered abilities in pvp) Un-healable damage 2 Maura 1 tanksin and a sorc beating on a target will die almost anytime Tank healers - A merc healer with guard and another healer helping them is the hardest healer in the game to kill Rugged DPS - Aside from the sorc dps, all your other dps have either the best defensive cooldowns in game or are tanks. Honestly I could go on and on about all the advantages this team has but you guys get the point. As long as I have pvp'd in multiple games one thing always seems to be true, the team that has better surviability or better survival mechanics wins the overwhelming majority of the time. That being said no team is perfect and there will always be someone better or a team that counters your own. The only thing I would say when making a rated warzone team is don't focus on 8v8 you need to think about how your team would break down into 2's 4's or 6, because every warzone including huttball you won't be fighting 8v8 your are going to be defending two nodes, defending middle while running the ball, defending two doors etc etc.
  9. I herby officially petition Bioware to hire Michael Buffer to do the Huttball Intro. LET'S GET READY FOR HUTTTBAAAAAALLLLL.
  10. Someone can do the math I'm not going to bother. I hit BM the day the patch came out that changed Ilum I believe it was 1.1 but I'm not sure. I have done my daily/weekly every single day since that patch I know that is well over 60 bags probably closer to 100. I have gotten 9 comms that's all. I already canceled my account because of this crap just waiting on my time to run out. I don't have a problem with gear taking time to get never have, but you HAVE to make the grind progress just at a slow pace. And please stop using the PVE reference it's not the same not even close. When you kill a boss you get loot end of story just because the loot you want doesn't drop does not mean your operations group didn't get anything. If you want to compare the two it would be like killing a boss and NO loot dropping.
  11. Just for the record I've tried tried both specs with 1 point in shroud of darkness and 2 points in nerve wracking. To be completely honest I never noticed a difference between the specs. You don't really notice the 400ish HP you lose and you don't really notice the damage increase on the stunned targets either.
  12. Not bad at all I play the same spec. Only advice I would give is use taunt/guard more but a big part of the video was 1v1 fights so those don't really apply. Most important advice I can give any darkness pvp specs out there is always make sure you either use stuns/shroud when you use Force Lightning with 3 stack HD. I also wear full stalker gear including focus unless I'm carrying the ball in huttball then I'll switch to shield. If you are biochem make sure you use the rakata stim pack before you use overcharge sabre heal as you have increased health and get a better heal from overcharge.
  13. Pay attention people it's not bugged this is happening on purpose. Bioware is doing this on purpose to force more pvp to help with que times. It's not some grand conspiracy theory it's common sense people. This way then can claim "it's bugged" but at the same time continue to force people to pvp more than usual so help with que times.
  14. Saying this again for the 30203948204824 time. The daily isn't bugged Bioware is doing this on purpose to force more pvp. Que times on a lot of servers are very bad and the only way you are going to fix that is forcing more pvp. The daily being "bugged" is just a way to put more people into pvp ques for a longer time.
  15. Read patch notes for the last 4 patches it's been fixed every patch supposedly. Said it a million times will say it a million more. This is done on purpose to force people to pvp more to keep warzone que times lower. Bioware has known about this problem since beta and it won't be fixed until que times improve.
