Diablo II and Halo...... I got wrecked in Diablo II until the very end. There was ALWAYS someone with insane gear that was just always better. Halo.............I'm not so proud to say I was one of the MLG guys in Halo 1 and 2. Oh well. SWTOR was my first and probably will be my last MMO until another star wars comes out.

Yeah, I'm still stuck downloading main assets 1 when I logged on 5 minutes ago. When I download patches/etc on this game I'm usually well over 1,000 kb/s but this is downloading at around 160/s.

Hell, if you PVP before level 40 you can buy a TON of either. I just hit level 40 on a new character and I have 9(maybe 10) stacks of 99 medpacks and a bunch of adrenals as well. Nonfactor and just a money grab. But if people are stupid enough to buy it...

Then I'll X it out and hope for the best tomorrow.

I'm just starting again(on an old alt that was level 25) after playing as a Commando/Shadow then again as a Jugg/Sniper. My Jugg was my favorite game play wise and I'm up to level 40 on my Guard. I leveled my Jugg in Vengeance but switched to smash a little after. It felt weird switching to smash back then(I definitely didn't realize it would be so different yet being the same class) but it was even more weird going from focus to vigilance in my opinion. I haven't played any MMO's in a few months away, but after a day of playing in vigilance I'm fine with the rotation. Can't wait until I have all my skills again because it was fun playing Vengeance. ANYWAYS... The only reason I switched from Vengeance to Smash in the first place was because my guild had a sniper that did high single person damage and we thought the AOE would be a nice switch up. There are strengths and weaknesses of both builds. You get a speed bonus in the middle tree, better sustainability, short CC immunity, and higher single target damage(IF your target stays still and your master strike procs at a decent rate). However, Focus gives you a shorter leap and another semi-ranged skill, force freeze is cheaper(and more applicable because of the shorter GDC). I'm not sure what I like better to be quite honest but I'm still level 40. It'll be interesting to test both builds once I'm 55.

Why...........................? I'm so damn confused. Download speeds are pathetic and I bought the game online. Should I uninstall completely & restart? Do I just let it sit over night downloading? Awesome thing was.........I logged on and it gave me the small patch. Went through that played a glitchy game on my level 40 JK, completing chapter 2 without force leap/mass lag, log off. Then I forgot I wanted to make sure all my guys had their companions doing something so I go to log back in and I get the 11g thing. FML.

So if it started downloading the patch today and I close the launcher will I be ok?

Healers shouldn't always get the vote, but I often do(I play as a hybrid Jugg) vote for them if they noticeably keep me alive. But I just played a Huttball solo queuing, was matched up with this premade that was completely useless. We had one healer and he only concentrated on his friends, we won 2-1 because I scored both points. The premade pretty much didn't do anything except have pretty numbers at the end and fail at advancing the ball. They pretty much failed at defense too because they were constantly fighting a few guys away from the ball. Just because someone is a healer doesn't mean they actually do anything. I hate the fact that people concentrate on the numbers at the end rather than pay attention to their surroundings in the war zone. If I do 200k damage and kill 40 people, and another guy does 350k yet kills 42-45 people was he really all that more effective? Or is he spitting out useless damage?

How much life do you have with full war hero? It isn't a problem because it is a finisher. It might be showing 9k, but they can't use it unless you are below 20% life - and it doesn't hit for 9k, or even 7k every time. Say you have 17k life(arbitrary number, should be close to full war hero for Sorcs, right?).......that means they can't use this ability until you have 3.4k life. Sins/Shadows have an ability that is similar that usually hits for at least 5k...

Starting a new guy on the empire side for something new and I'm not going to stop playing him until he is full war hero. Just a quick question before I start him tonight - what do you guys lack right now? Tank? Melee DPS? Ranged DPS? Heals? I'm thinking either a Jugg(can tank, can go DPS), Sage(Heals and overall utility), or Sniper(Always wanted to play one) personally as of right now. I've played Commando/Shadow the entire time playing this game and I'm looking for something new.

Yep.....I mean, as an infiltration Shadow you have soooo many buffs, it is hard to just glance and see if it is there or not.

The War Hero hat isn't so bad to me now, it grew on me. I was thinking about what armor/hat combo to go with, and I really don't know what to go with. Without looking for adaptive armor.....I would go crazy. You have to pick from goofy looking hats, dresses, etc. Revans armor even grew on me recently. Thinking about getting that. That Jedi set on the cartel market looks good too, but again....what hat should you go for with that?

How much does accuracy matter for us?

I'm PVPing without them..................it sucks.... Making me a better player, though probably.

Right now I'm Infiltration with 28%(Unbuffed, I'm leveling a smug so I can get the extra 5% and ditch some crit), 74% surge, around 600 power(after thinking about it again - I'm pretty sure I have more than this.....I had 500 with half war hero gear and before I got my last few BIG peices), >1300 exertise, 99.75% accuracy, and 18k life. I like having 18k life on infiltration personally - and my crit will drop for power as soon as I get that smug past act1......But should I drop some life along with my crit for power? How much life do you aim for? The augments I've been getting are the accuracy ones because I didn't think I should be below 100%, is that a mistake? (If you go over 100% you get armor pen also - which could be good if I get my power where it should be without touching my accuracy). Basically I treated crit/Surge/Power equally getting it where I can, aiming for 18k life and 100% accuracy(I still have multiple augments to get so I will infact get it over 100....thinking about going for more for the armor penetration or going for other things on my augments).

Yeah, the first Infiltration build is the most fun for me. It depends on my role in PVP, though. If my team has a lot of squishy DPS I would go tank simply to try and divert the other team's attention elsewhere. I can take multiple people on with tank build in PVP but can't kill them quick. I can completely destroy people in my Infiltration build but don't have the survivability. I do survive long enough to get some help if my CD's are available though. But if I have a good healer AND my infiltration build..............

From a solo queuer, I don't think it is the people that go in alone. I've noticed the cause of most losses lately have been because of a bad premade dragging the group down. Bad players are bad, simply put, and I've noticed that they group together. Going in by myself I finished my weekly in 12 games yesterday. Oh, and that Civil War game we played earlier was pretty fun...ha

I quit this game when Diablo 3 came out but I'm back and am enjoying this game much, much more than before. On this server I have a 50 Shadow in full(nonranked) War Hero gear but I'm leveling up a 'Slinger soon. On another server I have a 50 Commando and a few level 30's of other classes that I will be transferring to this one. I'm not looking for an overly serious guild - just one that has good players and one that is fun to be around. If you want more info from me, go ahead and contact me.

Honestly I go PUBBING on the republic side and I win at least 2/3's of the time. There is no specific guild that is better that I've noticed, just players here and there. Speaking of, if there is a PVP guild looking for another, message me on Privilege in game. I'm currently looking for a PVP guild.

Premades are not ruining WZ's, it's just the fact that not everyone is a good player. There are people that don't work WITH the team or people that just don't care.

That is what I did back when Battle Master was amazing before I quit. I definitely thought it was more fun, but you do lose utility and survivability. With a good team around you, I think infiltration is what I would go with..........But if you're running solo in PVP and you are going for the win I think kinetic is the way to go. Or the hybrid build(which I haven't used since I came back to SWTOR a weekish ago).

What requirement don't I meet? If it helps - I didn't play for a long time and recently came back within the last week.

Same here! I actually bought the game on release, leveled a Commando to 50, a Shadow to 50, took a massive break...Just started a Sentinal and I missed this game. It is quite fun(flawed, yes, but really what game isn't?).

I quit for some time, mainly because my friends played other games.....but I'm coming back. Since the beginning of summer what has changed? The game itself is downloading as I type this. I'm going to start fresh - what servers are the best for PVP? Have classes changed(I previously was a Commando and a Shadow, are those relatively he same play styles?

I just started playing again(school got crazy the last month and a half) and in 1.2.........We are definitely more squishy as KC. AFter getting back I hit 50 and I'm close to having full BM now. It was TERRIBLE after I got into the bracket but its better now that I just need 5 more pieces for full BM. Have yet to try Infiltration since coming back. KC is alright but it is rough at times running solo in warzones because of the lack of true "team play" without premades.
