I'm finding that out and really, that itself speaks volumes to me. "Off-topic" my butt! They are, imo, putting those threads into no-man's land to try to lessen the impact and make things seem not as bad as they are with the majority of the player base. They have time to do that for several threads but don't have time to post a simple "We hear you and are looking into it." just to let us know we aren't being utterly ignored? C'mon! Really?

Isn't that always the way, though? Ultimately, the game will likely survive for a while longer but based on the lack of population I see on Fleet and on Alliance areas or in the world...it's not good.

I found out from someone else and literally scrolled through every topic until well before the update and it is, in fact, gone.

I also just found out, and confirmed it by actually looking for it, that they DELETED a post that was several hundred responses long of people saying they were unsub'g because of the nerf. They CENSORED those who said they were going to unsub! Now THAT tells me they did read the forums but it also tells me a whole lot more....

They deleted those? ***? Nothing like censoring the discontent to make it all look better than it is.

So, you wanted feedback. You are getting it in spades and with very few exceptions, mainly those being the elite hard-core gamers who raid etc, the player base is NOT HAPPY AT ALL with the drastic extent of the companion nerf. There are threads galore and even people posting in the "Suggest Box" area about it as well. What kind of response have we the community gotten? Dead silence. No acknowledgment that they even know we're upset or care. Total and complete silence. Are you ignoring us, BW? Not all of us are on Twitter, you know. I hope those that are are letting BW know of their displeasure. I am considering making a Twitter account for the first time simply to be heard by BW because it sure seems like the community isn't being heard on the forums right now. Or, maybe we are but they simply don't want to acknowledge that they screwed the pooch on this one. Bw, you did a complete turn around from you promise of making the game casual player friendly. You lured us in, made us love the game again to the point many of us encouraged our friends and family to give it another go or even a first-time go and then this is what you do? And now you won't even let us know you hear us? That really speaks volumes. I unsub'd yesterday after playing with the nerfed companions to see if it was as bad as people said (and it is) but as I bought a 6-month sub time, you still have four months left to fix this before I'm gone for good. That's a very generous amount of time. I convinced my husband to come back tot he game. He sub'd only a couple weeks ago and was LOVING the game. He has no legacy thus no perks. Now he's mad because he feels cheated...and he's not wrong. He likely won't continue his sub either if this isn't fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Bottom line: YOU NEED TO TALK TO US! YOU NEED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM! Then you need to FIX IT and say you are going to fix it and focus on fixing it as a top priority. Nothing more and nothing less.

You went way way way too far with the companion nerf. You are shooting yourselves in the foot and the rage in general forum is proof of that. Fix it...fast. Put it back. Hell do a roll-back to pre-patch if you must! Just please give the companions back their balls.

Thank you for being understanding of the fact that there are a lot of players who don't or can't play to the level you have achieved whether it be for lack of time, or time of day being played, and so forth. I'm in 208 gear mainly on my two Alliance leveled toons. Not even doing this grind on my other alts....sheesh. Which, as a side note, pisses me off because I really LIKE some of them but the grind...good gawd...the grind. But I am in 208's. But you know that getting into 220's which is the gear I'd actually need to not be quite so squishy isn't even gonna happen unless I want to grind OP's and I do not have the time or the guild for that. The crystals needed to purchase that gear only come from the Hard Mode FP's and OP's. So....as a casual...I R Screwed.

Agree with the return of companion healing to at least 90% of what it was. I know better than to think anyone is getting fired over it.

Yeah, it certainly does have that vibe. I was there when the NGE hit. I saw it all happen. The resemblance here is sad.

You are exactly right. I play DPS toons because I like them. I don't do OP's etc so I don't get all decked out in high end gear all augmented to heck. Yes, I'm getting plowed, lol. I not a super-player but I'm certainly not a total slouch either. The healing mode for the companions needed "tweaked" not gutted.

I played all last night after the patch. I started with the lowest level planets and worked my way up. Once I hit upper level planets like Belsavis etc it became a HUGE PITA. It was a grind to begin with but it was made bearable by having great healing companions. Now it's just slogging through knee-deep mud which makes the grind even more tedious than it already was. It sucked the joy right out of it completely. I actually had MORE trouble at my level of 65 than I did prior to the expansion with "normal" companions at the proper level for the planet who I could tweak stats etc.

The big promo push for KotFE was a return to story and companions were going to be made to count as the second person in order to be able to do H2+ content which is basically REQUIRED as a grind once you hit the expansion content. They got us happy, brought back a lot of players and got a lot of new subs and returning subs because this was exactly what people had been begging for. People were spreading the word and and the vast majority of us were beyond thrilled to be able to take play at our own pace, at whatever time of day or night we had available, and not have that ruined for lack of grouping or by groups simply wanting to rush through the heroics as fast as possible skipping as much as they possibly could and freaking out if you dared to want to actually listen to the "talking heads" because you enjoyed it. BW got our money in their hot little hands...instant gratification. Then on Tuesday the took it away with one HUGE freaking nerf from Hades to the companions that made all that fun game play available. They went back on their promise. By a lot. I unsubbed today. BW has until my remaining time to address their mistake, admit they are in error and FIX the companions by a LOT or I will not renew my sub. I dislike being lied to.
