  1. If bitraider is active, you'll see a "ST" in the lower left corner of the launcher. See this image for reference https://i.ytimg.com/vi/1n3N3MSDndE/maxresdefault.jpg It will be absent if bitraider is not active.
  2. Command tokens remain on the legacy server they were earned on and did not transfer. I haven't seen different information regarding this, so I assume that's the way it still works. The GTN recommendation mentioned earlier is a good idea. However, the GTN is a fickle beast to tame apparently, and has been since beta. I don't recall the exact details, but they tried to either fix some coding or make improvements and ended up breaking it so badly they had to disable it for a couple of months. I would love to see GTN improvements, like removing the "Usable by" since it never really worked right from the start. Or adding one or two more stat drop downs so you can further whittle down the exact mod you're looking for, or not having perform 3 searches to view the various armor pieces for cosmetic reasons.
  3. If you're talking about the DvL victory status that used to be on the GC window, it can be found on the galaxy map now. I didn't see any information either, and was hoping they finally rid the galaxy of that near permanent light side bonus.
  4. I can confirm that all listed FP's must have a green check mark. I wasn't receiving credit either until I unlocked Umbara, then I started getting credit.
  5. First off, welcome back! If it's been that long since you've played, then a lot has happened since then with companions. The most notable at the time was their influence. Their new max influence level is now 50, and max influence from the old system set them at level 10 in the new system. Conversation choices which yield companion influence now always give positive influence, just a higher or lower amount based on choice. You can no longer lose influence with companions. Companion gifts are also more accessible with vendors on fleet and Odessa and can purchased with credits. A savvy person can level a companion from 1-50 for approximately 4.5 million credits. My personal method is to use rank 1 gifts to influence 20, then rank 5 gifts to influence 50. This takes awhile due to the amount of gifts you have to click. Both Rank 1 and Rank 5 gifts can be purchased on fleet. Rank 6 gifts on Odessa greatly reduce the time, but cost a lot more compared to Rank 5's. As for the pants and weapons, known issue for years now. This happened when the KotFE chapters launched and they took away all of the old companions. I doubt it will be fixed any time soon as it's not a high priority.
  6. With a fresh, untouched influence 1 companion, it takes 195 rank 1 companion gifts to reach influence 15 at a cost of 39k credits. From influence 15 to 50, it takes 454 rank 5 purple gifts at 10k credits each. Total overall cost 4.579 mil credits. Rank 5 gifts from 40-50 give 399 influence, compared to 1331 from rank 6. As you can see, it takes 3.33 rank 5 gifts to equal one rank 6 gift for influence. That's saving you around 215k to get the same amount of influence. You could get it cheaper if you take your companion to influence 20 with rank 1 gifts, but that means buying an additional ~400 rank 1 gifts. The cheapest route I got, but also the longest for clicking, cost me 4.3 mil total on a fresh companion.
  7. Use your companions - Vette for pistols, Pierce for Rifles and Jaesa for polesabers. Assault cannons can be used by one of the alliance alert companions, the one from belsavis iirc, Krohl I think his name is. I'm just going to say I'm not thrilled with how they managed these packs and the BoP items. BW admits it wasn't the best idea, but didn't want the items being sold and traded. BoL items don't get added to collections at all, so they avoided that altogether. If they just made legacy items a part of collections, this wouldn't be an issue. And the drops from them suck anyways. They're piece-mealing the armor sets instead of just rewarding a full set per crate. My luck has never been that great with packs, so I expect to get jack squat from them.
  8. Cartel Market items cannot be sold to a vendor, regardless if they are bound or not. Companion gifts, although obtained via cartel packs, are not considered CM items. CM packs and their rewarded items will have a minimum 36 hour timer for subscribers before they can be traded or sold via the GTN. If you buy a pack from the CM, it will have the timer. If you open that pack immediately, any CM items such as armor, weapons etc will each have their individual timers. Crates will have their own timer as well and can be sold/traded as a bundle, and if you open the crate, the contained items will have their individual timers. It sounds like a lot of waiting but its really not as long as you're not letting timers expire before doing whatever it is you're going to do with the items. Collections items are special in that they cannot be vendored, sold on the GTN or traded among players as they are bound to the character which unlocked the item. These are unlocks for that character only, unless you pay additional CC to unlock the item for your account. Armor set pieces must all be unlocked on the same character to count towards the collections unlock. You cannot split armor set unlocks between two characters even if you have the full set between the two. Armor sets must be unlocked on the same character to count towards the collections unlock. Collections is a historian of collected items and storage so you don't have to mule the items on another character.
  9. The 216 and 220 hilts can be crafted by anybody who has learned them by RE. I didn't see this mentioned, but those hilts are also bugged with the GTN, you can find them under barrels or do a search for hilt 42/hilt 43.
  10. If you're asking can a shadow tank use a 1HLS, the answer is Yes since they have the certification for it. However, some key abilities, regardless of AC, require you to use a specific weapon. In the case of Shadows, a polesaber would be required, so you should always use a polesaber. If you're asking about removing the attachments from a guardians 1HLS and putting them into your Shadows polesaber, the answer is Yes, provided you can get them over from your Guardian to your Shadow via a legacy saber passed through your legacy bank.
  11. At least yours is still open, they keep closing mine without actually providing any service. Four tickets posted since KotFE early access and I am not even sure if the last one posted properly, it never showed in the ticket list.
  12. Right! I'm sitting here thinking "Spend real money on virtual goods versus spend virtual money on virtual goods?" Makes sense.
  13. I found this thread via the merc forums and there you said this is a bug, it's not and is working as intended. First let me preface my explanation with how I do understand what you're saying and asking for. And I agree that the mechanics could be better from a QoL perspective. With that said however, we would only gain the ability to not lose our target when we want to use rapid shots on ourselves while csc is active. Right now the mechanics call for us to "target" ourselves, which is currently set to F1. You talk about a self target modifier key, and it's right there, F1. However, we lose our target when that happens. You could overcome this by using focus target, but you would give up using that for your main heal target. I sincerely hope the ability gets refined in the future to where we don't have to lose our hostile target, but I personally believe that calling it bugged is reaching since it does work as designed. Having a "self use" modifier regardless of our target would be awesome provided it got applied to all healers at least, or just applied to every class.
  14. Or the various other bugs that have been around since beta such as the FP CTD issue.
  15. This is incorrect. If you use an xp token while the quest reward is open, the xp gained will not reflect the new value unless it is refreshed. Refresh it by closing the xp reward window and then click on the pending button. Once the reward window pops back up, the xp gained will reflect the new value with the bonus. I've done this several times over the last couple of weeks with the latest being yesterday after double xp was in effect.
  16. GTN usage frequency is immaterial, understanding its usage is not. What is the point of this thread? You have made a few. First - your title. There is no proof in this thread BW hates crafters or gtn users. They made a change for technical improvements which will trump any QQ in this thread. Second - you're complaining about the recent search field change. It's working as intended - just with more results now. With more results comes more effort to find what you're after. That means using provided search fields to help narrow your choices or skipping to the page where your items are located. Third - you're complaining about the amount of results and/or the lack of sorting available. Ascending/descending sorting has been available since launch IF you click on the Name header in the results field. If Modification 27's are not being sorted from Modification 26's, then there's a bug with the sorting system - an entirely different topic altogether although I have not seen this happen since the change. I even went so far as to provide my suggestions on how BW could improve the GTN, but somehow you failed to address those. I guess soliciting emotionally charged responses to support your disapproval of the change is more your speed. Later, I'm off to earn some non-virtual currency.
  17. I find a lot of these complaints in this thread rather amusing. All it requires is that you put in a little more effort and use the other search fields such as finding which stat is on the modification. Or search for the exact name of the modification like "Reflex Armoring" and then sorting those by level. Hate on BW if you want, but honestly this change has very little impact for players. It's an imperfect system I know, but it's what we have to work with. I made suggestions to BW back in beta to include more search fields, especially when it comes to the particular stats I want. For example, if enhancements can have a total of four different stats on them, then there should be four stat fields in which to use to narrow down results. Looking for mods with at least 50 cunning? There should be fields to set min/max range of a stat. That "Usable By:" field? **** - it doesn't work and hasn't since beta. Convert that field to something else that does work such as another Stats field. At least then I could sift through all of the Aim/Defense gear instead of items with just defense on them. BW has created a very convoluted system when it comes to modifications. Many items have different names with the exact same stats on them. I used to track them in a spreadsheet, but have since lost that data and don't really have the inclination to do it again. Anyways, I agree the GTN needs work and a little bit more than just simple polish. Adding a few more Stats fields and stat range fields would help tremendously. Modifications need to be reviewed and any exact duplicates removed regardless of the name (and crafters reimbursed for their training costs).
  18. Because that particular art model is now being sold on the cartel market for real money. Like so many here, I bought this for the looks, not for its damn name. They pulled a bait and switch because they decided to offer the set as a complete package instead of random cartel pack drops. I like the idea of armor packs as it allows purchasing a complete look and knowing what the real money cost will be. But this is beyond dirty pool when change something and don't announce it.
  19. So is being overly melodramatic. While I do not personally agree with his suggestions, I do support his idea. Titles, 'crons and such should be unique to the character, not the account. Personally I would like to see a shared wallet, shared mounts and shared pets. I would also like to see some shared inventory such as four bank tabs. This way I could keep all of my crafting materials stored in a localized place rather than switching characters all the time. But that's just me. However, these are all quality of life issues. While I do enjoy these perks in other mmo's, it's not a deal breaker if they don't get added.
  20. I just returned to the game and noticed that several of the shields, generators and foci I had became orange moddables and were BoE. I got an orange vibroknife as a DK quest reward on my lowbie sniper and I've seen BoP orange shield gens drop from the droid boss in black talon. Before I left there was discussion of being able to RE epic crafted items to discover orange quality. I never tried since I stopped playing shortly thereafter. All of the schematics I've seen for artificing regarding OH's have all been blue quality for the crafted item. Hope this helps you.
  21. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. They said the exact same thing regarding the security key and CE vendor's upon launch. HOWEVER, since it's a real money revenue source, I'm sure they'll allot resources to ensure the cash flow continues.
  22. This post will probably turn out to be more of a rant than anything else, so be forewarned. I recently returned to help a friend along who had mentioned he started playing since this game went F2P. I knew I would have cartel coins banked since I kept my sub going even though I wasn't playing. I jump ingame and visit the cartel market to see what goodies I can purchase with all of the free coins I'd been given. After deciding there wasn't really much I needed to actually buy as a subscriber, I bought some cartel packs. That's when reality smacked me a bit - I would have to wait 36 hours for the items to unbind before I could make use of them. W T F?!?! So I asked myself "Why would Bioware put this timer on there?" and started searching. I finally found my answer, posted by Nathan Emmott where he states "I've seen some discussions on the test server wondering why we even have the binding rules in place. To be blunt, it's to limit fraud. Allowing players to trade items they buy from the Market, to give gifts, and to sell them on the Galactic Trade Network is core to our plans for the Cartel Market and an experience we only want to improve!" Okay, I can understand their concern about compromised accounts and being able to transfer real money items immediately. But why should that limit players from transferring those items between characters on that particular account. By all means, leave the timer on there if you will, but allow me to transfer this light saber to a force user on my account rather than sitting on the damn thing for 36 hours (or more as a non-sub) on my BH.
  23. I think you're missing the point, and definition, of "social" points. You get points from dialogue choices, not from actually socializing. If they had a system that rewarded 30 points an hour for being grouped, those would be social points. Unfortunately that type of system could be gamed rather easily. I don't think there's a viable solution that doesn't have shortcomings, so we're stuck with what we have.
  24. Sadly, I have to agree with this statement. A BW dev was even so bold as to state publicly that testers were only there to provide suggestions. But you have to understand the context of the interview as he did go on to say that they [bW] were already aware of many of the bugs and issues testers were submitting. Unfortunately I still have a long list of issues in my beta spreadsheet that have migrated over into live. I don't believe there's anything game breaking on there, but many of those quality of life items keep popping up all over the forums so they are definitely changes that BW should take seriously.
